I am done with Massage Envy, I am beyond upset with the Quality and Lack of Knowledge and experience of therapists and the lack of the knowledge of the receptionist trying to match with my needs. This company has changed not just one store , it's all over the country . I am now live in South Carolina where therapists are just as awful as this location and takes over a MONTH to get in. They continue to take dues out of my account even though they cannon get me in. I finally was done with this company, and told them to CANCEL and all they did was give me 4 month of Dues, and they owe me 2 years of Dues! (over $2,000). The insane part about this is that when I asked to PAUSE THE MEMBERSHIP so I can catch up, they told me I cannot use the services when it is PAUSED! The COVID excuse and sorry were short staffed is getting old and doesn't help me, a DISABLED CHRONIC PAIN PATIENT. I am a chronic pain patient that can NEVER get in for appointments in ANY and ALL Massage Envy's on a regular basis. It takes weeks or months to get in for an appointment then when I finally get in, the therapists are absolutely awful. I have not had a good massage in YEARS. I have tried to Cancel the membership in the past because of these issues, but they threatened to take all my money, so I froze it, then after freezing it for the maximum amount of time, I can never get in to anyone ever. And the reason is bedaus They are short staffed because of COVID! I have had such horrible massages with such NOVICE therapists I have stopped the Massage and WALKED OUT. I have been lied to by the girls that take appointments telling me the therapists I have know deep tissue , cranial massage and TMJ but they know nothing. I have spent thousands in the past few years from REAL MASSAGE THERAPISTS because I have flare ups due to the fact I am DISABLED from NECK Pain and Trigeminal Neralgia and TMJ. I get flare ups and need to know who I'm going to and get in a timely manner and trust that they know what they are doing. My health condition and NEEDS ARE FAR Away from the SKILLS NEEDED BY A THERAPIST THAT IS NOT CHILD FRESH OUT OF MASSAGE SCHOOL! I traditionally visited Massage Envy for massages (I am a member which I highly recommend) but once I tried the facials, I have a new monthly ritual! Don't let the name fool you- they offer extremely high quality facials from skilled aestheticians, with great products. I see Michelle who is fabulous and I highly recommend. She provides a great customized experience every time depending on what my skin issues are at that point (breakout, dryness), etc. It's a wonderful facial that is every bit as high quality (if not better) as a high end salon but much more affordable. I have been to Massage Envy in the past (not this location) and wasn't very impressed. I booked my most recent appointment pretty last minute and Massage Envy was the only local place that could take me. I typically get one or two massages per year and go to higher quality establishments, but like I said, it was last minute and I didn't have much choice. Anyway, I suppose the massage therapist I had was talented enough, but her hands were FREEZING to the point of distraction. In fact, the room was pretty cold and I did request to turn up the heat on the bed, but it was still very cold. Made it hard to relax. Also, after a meh massage, I didn't appreciate the pushy sales pitch at the end to get me to buy a monthly subscription. That is NOT relaxing. I imagine I won't return for a massage, but I may give their facial a try. My last facial was at the Florham Park location and it was very bad. The aesthetician didn't even wear gloves while using her fingernails to extract my blackheads. (Sorry if TMI). read more

I've only had two masseuse from there. Traci does an AMAZING massage. I have a very bad back and neck and she works my knotts out. Does it hurt, yes but its not her fault. Im the one with the screwed up back. Lol. Angela was good too. I prefer traci. Shes always booked so must call ahead. Never gotten a facial but I would rather go to a spa for that I gave it 3 stars not because of the services or professionalism because there definitely good with that its jus the pricing. After some meh massages in the past, I finally found someone I love! Scheduled a last minute massage and got Jackie. I had some stiffness and pain after a fall last week, and came out feeling a million percent better! A little sore today, but thats to be expected after how hard she worked on my neck and shoulders - And without pain! I can't tell you how many deep tissue massages I've practically cried through, but she worked out my issues with minimal discomfort. Ok, so I can still agree with everyone that I got there a few minutes before my appointment, wasn't take in until 10 after then she disappeared for 5 minutes while I was getting undressed (which took about 30 seconds). I had a 90 min massage and thought i would also try the microderm infused facial i keep hearing about when i get my massages. My 90 min massage was perfection (as usual, thank you Tracey!!). I am not new to microderm facials and have gotten them quite regularly previously. This was the worst microderm I have ever had. I think the person may have been new to it? Basically water dripped on me constantly because she kept lifting the suction up half way through pulling it across. She missed the whole center of my chin (where my black heads are the worst) and center of my forehead. I am now peeling the dead skin off of myself that she didnt get. The whole thing only lasted 30 minutes (but somehow that is worth 1.5 credits sessions). Will not be wasting sessions on this ever again and going to a spa to continue my microderm. Unethical business practices. Here's a question: How many minutes in an hour? Last i checked, it was 60. They charge a year-long membership of $69 or a 1-hour massage. What they don't tell you is that 1 hour = 50 minutes. They figure it takes you 5 minutes to get ready and 5 minutes to recover so you only actually get a 50 minute massage. In 1 year, that = two 1-hour massages they have cheated you out of. Don't go. read more

I have been to a lot of different Massage Envy locations and this is by far the best location. My only complaint is whoever answered the phone to book my appointment rudely rushed me and ultimately hung up on me while I was still asking questions. That was a turn off. However, two of the three ladies at the front desk who helped me when I arrived were fantastic and pleasant. BUT, this review is about Ashley who did my facial. She really brightened my day after a very long morning. One thing I find off-putting are aggressive sales' people. I have felt overwhelmed by this, specifically with Massage Envy. I have simply refused going back to a few different locations because of this practice. I even go so far as to making them put a note on my account. It's never effective shoving a product down someone's throat. Teach me! Help me relate in applying the product and what it can do for me. Ashley did just that, even showing me before and afters. Went in for a prenatal massage at 36 weeks and left disappointed. I have previously gotten a prenatal at a different location and since they were booked up, I tried this location. At previous location, the massage table was heated and they had an incline/ support thing that helped with laying on your side for the prenatal massage so I was comfortable the entire time. At this location, the bed was not heated, nor was there an incline, and I was given a way- too large bolster to keep between my legs which caused more distress on my achy back and kept sliding around. read more

I am fairly picky about massages. I was delaying getting one hoping my pain would just go away. After a few days of being uncomfortable I decided to call for an appt. I was so happy they could fit me in for a 90 min massage 2 hrs after I called. The place is clean and they have a relaxing room to fill out the paperwork. My massage was great and she really listened to me which in the past has always been an issue. I joined on the spot after that. I will say they try to accommodate you with the all the paperwork and stuff but after the massage being in the front desk area was uncomfortable. It was busy and chaotic which is great for them but I just wanted to leave. Overall everyone was very nice and I am glad I joined. read more

This was my first time at a Massage Envy. I received a gift card after I completed my cancer treatment. The massage was average at best but the front desk staff was horrible. Crystal was not only rude she was extremely distasteful and inappropriate. When I was asked if I would like to join their club I explained that my husband is out of work so this would not be a good tie for me to spend extra money on an extravagance like a monthy massage. Crystal then interrupted my conversation with another staff member saying it was the perfect time. When I questioned her about this comment she contiued with her diatribe of rasons why I sould spend the money. I told her she was rude and she looked shocked. She then continued to tell me about her life personal, like that made a difference to me.
