I did receive great service in Pompano from Rosie who provides facial treatments BUT almost all my massages were less than average and I had several account related issues that were NOT my fault and the customer service was awful. I was constantly being told I hade to call my original location (Fort Lauderdale) in order to correct problems, use credits for friends, etc. The fact that the locations are not aligned well and that they do not offer to call and/or help on your behalf is poor customer service. I always found myself feeling very frustrated with every interaction and even in the end when I called to cancel (with 18 credits remaining), I had just swapped out my debit card and they made me give them the new number to process one last payment. The gal never even asked me why I was canceling. Just more crappy customer service. Everything was always about them and never about me as the customer. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. The manager, Angie, refuses to work with you even when it's a Massage Envy that has made the mistake. I have talk to her on multiple occasions trying to fix the mistakes that they made, and when they made another mistake today she snapped at me, telling me that I always whine and cry... Which is unacceptable to say anyway but especially when it's because massage envy has been making the mistakes. When I mentioned I was glad today was my last appointment of my six month commitment, she very harshly and sarcastically said, "thank you for those comments." She also said "The other location and this location have both given you free things"... which is not true whatsoever. The manager is very unprofessional he hung up in my face. I requested my membership to be canceled February 13 and was told the manager would process it. I saw a charge pending March 27th on my credit card and gave them a call. It took the manager 3 days to get back to me and he was not understanding. I told him I was not able to keep the membership and he proceeded to tell me that I've been using the monthly credits. The manager did not acknowledge that someone in their office dropped the ball and did not provide the appropriate forms for cancellation or share the information with him. One star is too kind! First facial was great. When I went in for a massage the therapist clearly did not know what she was doing. I tried again with a different therapist. Therapist massaged my feet, did NOT WASHER her hands and proceeded to massage my face. Disgusting. The people at the front desk are rude. I went in to cancel my membership after this and was told I had to wait a year. I went in again after that and they said to put my membership on hold so that I can use up my sessions with the one facial therapist who is good. Within two months they started charging my account again. They never contacted me that they reinstated my account nor that the price went up. Months and months later i realized they were charging me the entire time. I spoke to the owner and he refuses to reimburse me, saying they did me a favor by putting me on hold for two months. DO NOT GO HERE! I was bullied into signing up for the monthly package which I canceled the same day of because I realized it just wasn't something I could afford. The woman was so rude on the phone but told me she would handle it and hung up. A month later I'm still charged so I call and tell them they need to cancel it ONCE AGAIN and they apologized and said it was taken care of. Today I get charged again. So they lied to me twice about canceling it and are trying to scam me. I now am owed a $140 refund and they of course are not answering the phone. I also called corporate who did not answer. I will be disputing it through my bank and going to the Better Business Bureau with this because this is ridiculous and unfair. The people here are so rude and clearly liars. These are my opinions, and only my opinions. Your experiences and viewpoints may vary. I want to recommend this place. And three years ago, I would have. But no more. It has gone downhill. The facility itself is poorly organized (just peak into the office when standing at the front desk) and the front desk staff is not much better. I had issues with a therapist there, and the owner promised to call and discuss it with me. It took me weeks me weeks to get that phone call, after a ton of effort from me. The owner's excuse? "I got busy and forgot." This is what you are dealing with here. This is the culture. Jorge, Angie, the whole facility. Staff turnover, lack of quality therapists, poor follow-up from ownership, clogged sinks in the bathroom, lousy massages, are all reasons to stay away. What a fall for a once promising and well-fun facility. All in all, I no longer recommend Massage Envy in general, and suggest avoiding this location specifically. read more

So I booked with this location for my birthday 9/9/20. My massage was Amazing done by Maxine. So I was talked into making a follow up appointment. I was not informed of anything after making this appointment. Here comes today 9/23/20 and I have an emergency and was unable to make my appointment, this company had already charged my card the night before for $52. So I call them and they tell me they are unable to refund me my money even after not informing me of how their cancellation policy works, nor did they tell me they hold my card info on file. Angie was pushy, doesn't understand the word no, and is quite frankly rather annoying. I made a last minute reservation here for a massage last weekend. I must say, that the introductory offer they have was very enticing. 1-hour massage for $49.99. I get a massage typically about once every 6-months to a year. I would definitely get more if I could afford it. My therapists name was Candy. She was awesome! Wow, I was expecting a very generic massage, but this went above and beyond my expectations. I literally almost fell asleep during the massage. It felt better than massages I've received at expensive resort hotels. The only downside is that they try to push you to sign up for their membership. It's about $60 a month and gives you one massage for free, plus additional massages at $39. Not that that isn't fair. However, I've heard that it's a nightmare to get out of the membership. (Marge is amazing) - I moved out of state where i would have to literally get on an airplane to visit a massage envy - so obviously I cancelled my membership. I will have to cancel my debit card at this point. if I lived there I would continue my membership but I literally can't! For many weeks, I have been trying to get a refund processed for a PCA product I had a reaction to. I have left messages for the manager Angie and the owner Mr. Ramos to no avail. I have spoken countless times to the staff who have apologized profusely for the fact that they have only one manager who is not addressing my concern and issue. They need help and more than one manager obviously who will problem solve in a timely manner. The owner, Jorge Ramos, is rude, aggressive, spoke over me, and raised his voice at me. I have been a member for 6 years and usually go to a different location. The wrong therapist took me back, as there happened to be two Jillian's booked at the same time. I had specifically requested someone who can do super deep massages. About 5-10 minutes into the massage someone knocked on the door and informed me that the therapist made a mistake. They asked me if I was okay I said yes but I needed the massage to have more pressure. The person said okay and to continue the session. This therapist was clearly new and did not have the strength to do deep pressure. When I went to speak to the manager he was rude and told me he would add a complimentary enhancement to my next massage. I said that was not enough and he then said he would give me a free 30 minutes. I explained that I thought I should get a complimentary 60 minute massage because of THEIR mistake. He told me that this was not possible. He suggested I not tip the therapist and get the extra 30 minutes. I told him that was absurd and that I would be tipping. He then told me that he could not give me a massage because it meant not paying his employee. I told him the two were not mutually exclusive. He said I should have stopped the massage when they knocked on the door since I didn't enjoy what the therapist was doing, I said that was not fair to ask of the client and that would be uncomfortable and rude to the therapist. I then asked if he could upgrade two 60 minute massages to 90 minutes since I will be coming to this location for a few months while I renovate my condo in Miami. He said no. He did not try to rectify THEIR mistake and raised his voice at me. HE WAS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and frankly SCARY because of how angry he got. I will certainly never go back to this location and am seriously considering cancelling my membership. He has many bad reviews and if massage envy is willing to have this man represent them, then I want no part of it. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. A group of 4 of us had appointments to get massages at the same time while on vacation. THEY called the day prior right around the 24 hr mark (they have a 24 hr cancellation policy) to cancel one of the appointments because one of the masseuses was not going to be able to show up. After needing a bit of time to discuss alternative solutions and plans due to THEIR change, we called back to cancel the remaining 3 appointments. After a few of us got calls the day of the appointment, we discovered they did not actually cancel the appointments when we asked and then said they were going to still charge us because it was not canceled writhing their 24 hour policy window. They are EXTREMELY unorganized, unhelpful, and this is still not resolved. All of this stemmed from their mistakes/issues, not ours- the customers, and they are not at all willing to make it right by just not charging us. Between the 4 of us, we have had to spend at least 1-2hours trying to resolve (while on vacation). I urge all of you...DO NOT SUPPORT this business. They will not take care of you, even when they make mistakes. They will take advantage of you. The fix for our issue was a simple one- do not charge us (we were even willing to still tip) for mistakes they made and they could not get that right. I called to cancelled my appt yesterday as an emergency came up on the same day of the appt and as a first time customer (I haven't been a member in 10 yrs and was going to sign up for a membership again) you would think they would have tried to use customer service to not bill me 20.00 for not being able to make the appt. So yes they got 20.00 but they also lost out on a member who was interesting in massages and other spa services they now offered which wasn't available when I used to be a member. So guess me spending $70 or more a month in a contract wasn't that important to them then billing me immediately 20.00 vs giving me a warning and a second chance. I have been going to Massage Envy for probably 5 years now and have always enjoyed the experience. The girls at the front desk are great and always accommodating. The last couple of years I have had Linda as my therapist and couldn't be more satisfied. She is extremely knowledgeable and always tries to give the best massage she possibly can. Always asks if you have any pain or problem areas. She is tremendous in reflexology on the feet and always has you feeling like your walking on air when your done.
