I have been going to Massage Envy for probably 5 years now and have always enjoyed the experience. The girls at the front desk are great and always accommodating. The last couple of years I have had Linda as my therapist and couldn't be more satisfied. She is extremely knowledgeable and always tries to give the best massage she possibly can. Always asks if you have any pain or problem areas. She is tremendous in reflexology on the feet and always has you feeling like your walking on air when your done. This company gets worse and worse. It's not the fault of the massage therapists. The office staff continues to prove themselves to be unprofessional and scatter brained. Not to mention the company is still in litigation for extremely shady business practices. Yesterday, I scheduled a massage for today. Apparently, you cant have a massage two days in a row, so they took the liberty of booking it Friday instead, without telling me. I took the time off of work today- not tomorrow. Extremely poor customer service and a complete absence of communication. Thank goodness they called today. However, that doesn't change the fact that I moved my work meeting from today to tomorrow to accommodate. I've lost count of how many times this company has dropped the ball. Rachelle was the one who called and her manners on the phone were horrific. She was unresponsive and when I asked if she was still there, she actually snapped at me and said "I told you I was looking". I'm not sure at what level of the company, speaking to anyone like this is condoned. Then she felt the need to say that it wasn't her fault and remind me that you can't have a back to back massage two days in a row. So apparently it was my fault that they allowed me to book it like this and I should have known better then the actual massage envy staff and should have advised them on their own policy. I've had a membership for years at ME for a different location and they were always great. I recently moved. The manager at this location doesn't have any people skills and has turned me off completely from ever returning. I have sensitive skin and don't respond well too the low quality oil ME uses so I've always brought an organic grape seed oil with me that I respond well too. The manager refused to allow the therapist to use the oil and then attempted to corner me into snitching on a sweetheart of a therapist who I normally go to. Deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. She then had the nerve to try and charge me a cancellation fee for the appointment and get into an argument with me. I told her I would not argue with her and I will not be returning. She then threatened to put a restriction on my membership. News flash - there are millions of massage therapy places, so your only hurting yourself. Stay clear of here and find a better massage place where they treat you with respect read more

I'm going to switch to the Deerfield beach location. I've come to the pompano beach location for more than a year and have experienced error after error in appointments and service add on's. This is not a complaint about the therapist rather the front office. - Apt times provided were off. Was told one time but the apt was for another. This has happened at least twice. - Requested add on's requested and paid for but not provided. This has happened 3 times. They end up not refunding the money and instead give you a coupon for the next time. The therapist have all been wonderful. The problem is that the front office screws things up and I end up frustrated. I came here to relax not be frustrated. The best services are often undone by those at the front desk. My suggestion is to send a confirmation email of appointments and services. This way there is no confusion. My hope the other location is better. :) read more

I'm only putting 1 star because it won't let me put -10 stars. Stay away from Massage Envy. I signed a 3 month agreement in November, used half the value. I thought I had signed up 11/18/14 so thought my contract ended 2/18/15. I called to make an appointment only to be told my contract had expired. I have no problem with following the terms of the contract, but you would think a company that can send me emails to entice me to use their facility, can also send me an email advising me my contract was about to expire. I lost about $90.00 on this, so I'm sure they've done this to others as well. Thereby they're basically stealing. read more

I wish I could rate Massage Envy in Pompano Beach with less than 1 star. This has nothing to do with the Massage Therapists. But, it has everything to do with how aggressively customers are pushed to join a program with auto-pay and pushed to make appointments. I joined a 6-month program after receiving a massage as a gift earlier this year. While I found the Massage Therapists competent, I was told that I could cancel the program after the 6-month period. I spoke to Angie a month prior to requesting cancellation of the program and was told to email her 2-3 weeks before the next billing period to remind her about the cancellation. At that time, I requested confirmation of my request and over the next 2-week period, heard absolutely nothing. At this time, I've sent 2 additional emails as a reminder and made 3 phone calls attempting to complete my request. Several days ago, I also filed a complaint with the Corporate offices. Although Corporate has attempted to contact regional management as well as the franchise owner, nothing more has been done. Fortunately, my credit card carrier has assisted and that should take care of this issue. The negative reviews in yelp are completely accurate and to be direct, DO NOT do business with Massage Envy in this location. Their service is horrible and the leadership team should be replaced immediately. BTW, as a new yelp user, I had to give 3 stars in order to be posted, but ME in Pompano is definitely the pits! read more

Joyce and Dee gave me and my cousin amazing late evening massages. We just landed at ft Lauderdale airport and we were running about half an hour late due to delayed flights. Anyway they were so accommodating and still saw us. We were seen right away. The massage was one of the best I ever had. Incredible technique and attention to detail. Every area that I explained I had pain in, he concentrated on. He had perfect pressure for me too. I like deep pressure so this worked wonderful. I am not a member at Massage Envy, but I was given a 60 min free massage from someone who is a member. I have gotten a massage from Massage Envy before, so I knew I was in the system. When I called to schedule the appointment, there was no mention of coming early to fill out forms or update any information. ( Yes, should I have come in a little early... probably.) I arrived at my appointment and I was 3 min past my appointment start time. I walked in ( with other clients at the front desk) and I was greeted by a distressed woman saying " Hi are you ___" in front of everyone there. Her non verbals portrayed she was waiting for my arrival and was annoyed I was late. I was a little embarrassed. She mentions that this is cutting into my hour of service. She then asks for my information and sighs when I tell her my address has changed. Not to mention I look over and my "masseuse" was waiting in the door saying "I'll take her till __:55". I'm a big energy person and already, I feel unwelcome and not at ease. I then go over my past history pretty quickly and head to the room. The actual massage wasn't bad.. but because my head space was not clear of what just happened in the lobby it effected my overall experience. I did feel like the masseuse was rushing and at points her movements were very fast instead of soothing and relaxing. To be honest, I left with not the best service. I did not feel pampered in any way and I felt like "one more customer" coming in.. I know it is a pretty large corporation but it is still very important to maintain superior customer service especially in the health and wellness field even as the market expands. read more

I've cancelled/put my subscription on hold multiple times bc of my schedule, but because of your front desk staff I simply cannot go elsewhere. We arrived with a less than warm greeting by a woman named Isis, she had an attitude and was complaining about her job there to a co- worker saying she had child care issues did not want to be there and disliked the clientel as we filled out paperwork. It was so uncomfortable we left and came back as we had 10 mins before our massages. Really unprofessional and rude when this is supposed to be a place u pay to go to relax, never returning. A while ago when my regular therapist was on vacation she suggested that I try Linda because she is very popular and does 2 hour massages. I'm so glad I did! Wow ! What an amazing experience that was! I was treated like a king. Linda is very professional and very knowledgeable. Her years of experience will put your mind and your body at ease. She took care of every sore muscle and the tightness in my shoulders disappeared.Two hours flew by. Her advice on reflexology paid off big time. I am now a believer :) You couldn't be in better hands if you have Linda as your therapist. Trust me... you will not be sorry. I have been a massage envy member for 6 years. I have visited several locations around the country in my travels. I have been going to the Pompano beach location for the last two years after moving to Fort Lauderdale. They have a very high turn over rate. No one knows who I am. They constantly loose my paper work and try to make me fill out new paper work every time I go which is supper annoying and makes me angry to the point I can't even enjoy the massage because that's all I can think about. The beds seem old and the face cradles don't stay in place. I'm going to use what credits I have left at the fort Lauderdale location and cancel my membership. I was given a gift card, so I called in the AM and made an appt for the PM. At no time was I given their cancellation policy. Throughout the day my baby got sick and in the evening he developed a fever. I called to cancel and was forced to reschedule or would be charged a 50% cancellation fee (which no one told me about.) I explained to the receptionist that I had to find out my husband's s hwdule in order to reschedule because he would have to be home to stay with the kids in order for me to go. She "apologize" but said if I did not rescheduled she would have to charge me. However, I was stuck seeing whomever they had schedule me with and her schedule and mine did not agree. I ended up choosing a late mid-week time. The day of the rescheduled appt came and they called me saying I was supposed to be there (apparently they wrote me down on the wrong time) and when. I explained to the receptionist that they made a mistake because there was no way I would've scheduled it for the time she said (being that I had a weekly commitment at that time) she said she could not fit me in the later time (which was supposed to be my time to start with) and could not reschedule me again and would have to charge me the 50% fee (even tough they made the mistake.) Can you believe these people? THEY ARE BULLIES, LIARS, DECEIVING THIEVES and I do not understand how they are still in business. The are the WORSE PLACE/PEOPLE. DO NOT GO THERE!!! read more

Disappointed in the stores business practices. I've been a customer for years. I decided to cancel my membership because there are only two LMT's that I like to use, and my schedule doesn't line up well with theirs. I cancelled my membership 2/26/2018. On 03/03/2018, they charged my card for the monthly dues anyway. I phoned 03/03 and spoke to Robin. She stated she was unable to simply credit my card for the monthly dues. It's mind blowing that in the digital age that they could not stop the charge before it occurred. More disappointing is that she wouldn't simply issue a credit. Any reputable business would do so in the interest of good customer service. After spending thousands of dollars with them, I guess I wasn't a valued customer. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. They have a class action law suit against them because of their business practices. If you need a massage, find a small operation and avoid signing a contract. Would not do business with them again as a result of the poor handling of this situation. read more

BUYER BEWARE: I recently purchased a joint membership with my boyfriend at this location a few months ago. Since then we have been trying to cancel our memberships because we have not been using it as much as we thought we would have. The staff has been completely unreliable and have been giving us the ride around with how to cancel both memberships. My boyfriend was able to cancel his a few weeks ago and I was under the impression my membership would be cancelled as well since the memberships were sold as a "joint agreement." Last week I found a charge for Massage Envy and when I called the office I was informed my account was still active. This past week I was finally able to cancel my membership with a doctors note (which is the only way you can cancel the membership FYI). Now my boyfriend and I are trying to use the remaining sessions we have, but we were just informed he only has one credit left because his membership was terminated immediately after his doctors note was received. Yet he had already been charged for two billing cycles and was not refunded for the last one. The memberships are a TOTAL SCAM and RIP OFF! read more
