I told my kids no more massage envy gift cards ever. Why ripped off non members for a massage. I wish my kids bought me a resort spa massage that includes a day use of the amenities like pool, steam room, champagne for much less than what I paid for. read more

I could easily give this location 5 stars for the super friendly staff and the 90 minute massage I got was great. My massage started at about 5:05 and lasted til 6:27. A good 90 minutes! This place was crowded with not only people getting massages but customers getting facials and purchasing skin care. What stops me from giving it 5 stars is that it was too cold for me and the music a bit too loud. But aside from that it was great! read more

I didn't have the highest of expectations as massage envy normally offers below average quality services for (a little) above average pricing. Boyfriend and I went to this location on Labor Day and both got a 60 min massage and 60 min facial. Massage was below average considering it seemed like 40 min was spent on the back and shoulder area with little to no time on arms, hands, legs and feet. I told them at the beginning my neck was the area I needed the most work and that was ignored. The facial was okay considering the specialist insulted me multiple times without providing constructive feedback on how to improve or different skincare products to use. No exfoliation during the facial, just a cleanse and 2 face masks. No extractions which I know I did need going in and I've received as part of a facial service from massage envy before - interesting. I would suggest you don't get hooked into a membership program before going multiple times and loving it as it is a 12-month contract. Nothing bad enough for a 1 star review but certainly not a 5-star experience. read more

I was expecting for them to pressure me into getting a membership and was so pleasantly surprised that they didn't that I did get one! The only reason it is not five stars it the waiting area is too small, people kept walking in and realized there was no space and had to go back out. Defeated the purpose of "tranquility" space. This place is horrible. I had an appointment today and they claimed to have "tried to call" because they sent home the masseuse and I wasn't able to get a massage. I live in Flagstaff and this was the only day my mom and I could get massages together for our girls day. Never had a massage here and never will. Horrible customer service. Do not recommend. Sitting in the Tranquility area waiting for my appointment. I WISH the staff would make it a point to tell guests to keep their big voices DOWN while walking in and out of the TRANQUILITY room. Also, therapists, is it really necessary to ask every client after treatment if they have to go to the bathroom?! Don't you think people of the age to go get a massage by themselves are capable of knowing if they have to go potty or not? I have only been to this Massage Envy location a couple of times but this last time was the best! I was able to make my appointment easily and we greeted kindly by the front desk staff. I have made three visits to the Elements @ 1017 E Signal Butte Rd in Mesa. Every time was a great experience and really helped with pain management. Gloria was my therapist the last two times and was knowledgeable and informative, I highly recommend her. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because there is no choice of music or sounds. I find water/ocean sounds relaxing, flutes stress me out. Very hard to relax with the no choice flute music that cycles thru the canned music. read more

The service was not what I had expected it to be!!! The girl I got didn't even remove my eye makeup!! What kind of facial leaves makeup before finishing the service ? Two times now I've been bumped because they either overbooked or had someone call off. The first time they double booked the couples room and of course we were the lucky couple that got the bump. Then we planned our entire day around getting massages for my birthday and the DAY OF they called and said they had to bump our massages by 2 hours - again, our whole day was PLANNED. Why wouldn't they have someone on call when someone calls off sick? And why can we get bumped but not others? I told them I'm sick of being the one to get bumped and i want out of my contract since i can never seem to get a massage at their location and they said i would have to pay to break the contract. Yet here i am with like 6 credits each (my husband and i) cause i can seem to get a massage! Then the news about sexual assaults...now i never want to go back and it makes me sick that i have to pay $55/month to a corrupt company that won't allow me out of my contract. read more

Gene gave me a great massage. He took care of my aching sciatic nerve and was able to adjust the pressure according to my needs. My lower back feels much better as well. The front desk process is cookie cutter as it is for all the Massage Envy salons. They were able to get me in within an hour which was great. I will be back. read more

Good massage! The problem was that they want you to pay and tip before the service. How do I know how much to tip? This is a brand new place that just opened. Also when I tipped standard 15% ahead of time the lady didn't seem happy with that. I would have given more if she would have waited until after the massage. Also she was the only one there so she had to answer the phone and do walk ins so my massage was interrupted a few times. I am very easy going so I didn't mind but I could see how other people wouldn't like that. Going to keep with my usual place in Tempe even though it's a drive. It is ten dollars cheaper an hour. read more

Ok, first off ive got Nueroprathy. I let them know this. Im 6ft 3 270, so im not a small guy. Front desk when we came in was nice and quick. Filled out there online form, let em know i had Nueroprathy from the begining. In the massage room the therapist (male if that matters) asked what level i wanted, told him medium cause of my back. Getting to the point, the guy started putting pressure on my mid to lower back so hard i could hear him grunting, he continued on like this to my legs where i had said i was having my issue's recently. The pressure was extremely intense and im asking myself if it was actually hurting to much to continue. I actually couldnt wait for him to finish just as i was going to say im done, he finished up. I thought after he left, is this a medium pressure and if so whats hard to them. I was defintaly sore when done but figured id be ok the next day and maybe it was just because i had Nueroprathy that i was hurting when he was done. So the front desk of course trys to sell us on seeing them in 2 weeks and every 2 weeks, as i say no thanks the one older turns the pressure up a bit for the hard sale and finish. Im like no thanks just run my card. So we left. Both my wife and i felt like wed been beat up and kicked outta of a bar. Any way this morning i wake up not be able to sleep all night as my back was in pain, my legs in pain. I take muscle relaxers for my issues and it didnt help one bit. This morning my wife touches my back and it felt like a bruise in the area she was touching. So she started touching tmmy back and it felt like this from my mid back down. Took my shirt off and ive got a nice bruise on my back. Im so pissed. Youd better talk to your male therapists and figure out why they think med means mack rolling over your back and, to communicate with their clients. Mine didnt say one word unless i said something, no does this hurt, is this a good pressure....NOTHING. My wife feels pretty much the same except she has no beuising that we see YET! read more

Had a nice experience with the front desk. The massage was going well, however, I booked and paid for a one hour massage and was dressed and out the door in 52 minutes. When I turned unto my back, the massage went from relaxing to very rushed. I asked the receptionist why I was shorted on time and she said you actually only get a 50 minute massage, the other 10 minutes are for dressing and undressing. Regardless of that, I was still shorted for eight minutes. I'm sorry, but in the massage realm when you're paying by the minute, seven minutes is a lot. Very disappointed by this. read more

I have been here at least five times now and every massage therapist I've had has been not good. The one before last had hand soap rough I couldn't even enjoy and he spent the whole time talking. This time this last time I go in there for an hour and a half massage. I was quoted $90 over the phone. It ended up being 143 which is way more than what I was told. I had $100 gift card from Christmas. Apparently one of the staff used it at the Tempe location is what I was told when they told me I had a zero balance. Nobody seem to be able to help me so I had to ask for the owner's phone number. In which I received no message back call back from this owner which is very disappointing that somehow my hundred dollar gift card is gone and nobody wants to figure out what happens. Worst customer service ever I will never be back and please don't buy gift cards from this place. read more
