I have an adult autistic son who started going to massage luxe in chandler. They rudely dismissed him as a client because he moaned when the therapist made him feel relaxed. This spa needs to educate its therapists about autistic persons and how to accommodate them. This spa has many problems in my opinion but this is the last straw for my family and our patronage. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this massage establishment. To start, my original appointment was canceled only 30 minutes before the scheduled time, which was very inconvenient and unprofessional. When I finally received my massage, I had booked and paid for a service that was supposed to include hot stones, but the hot stone portion was never provided. Additionally, the massage was not the full hour that was advertised. The quality of the massage itself was also disappointing. The therapist immediately began using their elbow for deep pressure without first warming up my muscles, which was uncomfortable and not what I would expect from a professional massage. Despite my dissatisfaction, I still left a tip and moved on. However, when we informed the staff that the hot stones had not been included, they offered a refund but then said they would charge the tip again, which was confusing and made little sense. To make matters worse, they charged my card an additional $24.50, which was not even the amount I tipped. Several days later, they refunded the $24.50 charge, but I still have not received the original refund that was promised. Between canceling my appointment at the last minute, failing to provide the service that was advertised, providing a subpar massage, and mishandling the refund process, this was a very frustrating experience. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service make it difficult for me to recommend this business to others. read more

I have been to massage luxe twice and each one for a different kind of appointment. The staff is very friendly and sweet. Once the appointment is confirmed we are sent waiver forms to sign and acknowledge. The waiting area for the appointment is pretty cute. I have got a sea weed facial and a body massage done. Both the services were impressive and the aesthetician and masseuse were professional and have a good experience. I had taken a nap by the end of it without realizing. The pricing is a little on the higher side and they have a membership plan too. Overall, had a quality time for myself and enjoyed the services provided. I have no complaints about my masseuse or my massage, but I do have some complaints of the front office staff. I finished my massage and was paying and I asked if I was able to get a gift card or gift certificate as a surprise for my signifigant other. I was then explained about their membership and politely declined, I was then asked about it again and once again politely declined. I was asked "what is my hesitation" on not wanting to join their membership. I then asked again about the gift card and denied. I was told I could only get a gift card for their 170$ package massage and if not then my significant other can just call and book one himself. As I had told her it was a surprise. I asked for a refund or even partial one and all the lady at the front desk offered was a voucher. The nearest location is over 45 minutes away from me now and I will not be able to use them. I have essentially paid massageluxe for no service rendered for several months. Although my experience with the actual massage was always good, the billing dept is a scam. his company gets zero ratting for the worst service I have ever experience in such a long time. Story: I was told over the phone that it would be $65 per month for 1 hour of services. I was also told that I can use the hour how I see fit. For example, I can split my hour into two half-hour sessions. As I continue to speak with the associate, I asked " what if I want to cancel my membership and what is there policy on that? She Clearly said, "all you have to do is call in and cancel and I would have X=amount of days to finish any time I may not have used. I thought to myself, this is cool and I was sold. I also clarified, are your sure that's it and NO hidden fees or other monies will be added if I cancel... and the young lady replayed, correct. I said great sign me up. Fast forward 3 months later and $195 in unused massages, I realize that my schedule was to busy for a service like that, so I called to cancel and this is what happens. first, you can NOT just call in and cancel. They send you a link to cancel and in that link, you have to follow a few prompts and one of those prompts states that. "I would have to pay an additional $20 per month in order to use the $195 worth of time I have accumulated. Boy was I upset and still am. , After calling and explaining my concern, I received no kind of apology for either miss informing me or there possible lack of understanding of their own policy. I asked for a refund and was denied and was told basically, I shit out of luck.. Not only did the company NOT apologize but they would not even have the common decency to offer up my refund or even suggest to wave the $20 that I was never told I had to pay in order to finish out my session time. I have owned and ran my own business for years and we have a NO Refund policy but I have given refunds based on principle and good morals. I understand that my associates will make a mistake and I am always willing to accommodate my customers by correcting those mistakes and making sure my customers are taken care of. this company is full of thieves and liars and I highly recommend that you choose a place that won't still and lie to you. P.S. I had to close my account so they wouldn't take any more money form me and that's a whole issue in its self because that account was tied to my everyday checking account and I had to call and resubmit all of my auto-pays for my rent, utility ect.... I signed up for several. (the masseuses are great, the front desk.... terrible) I then gifted one and they harrassed that person and were unbelievable rude. Said it wasn't allowed... made nasty faces and had terrible attitudes. It was his Birthday! Then they said they would mail me coupons for remaining hrs since I cancelled my membership. She has helped me work on some areas that have been causing no me constant pain. She even helped identify one key area that may be the root cause of pain so I could focus on that area for future treatments by other providers! I have also seen David when Jolene isn't available and was also very happy with his knowledge and experience too! Both of these therapists do amazing work and I cannot thank them enough for the amazing care they provide to me whenever I am there! Massage Luxe was mentioned on the NextDoor App so I decided to give them a try. I have been getting regular massages at different places for 20+ years, and unfortunately, my massage here was one of the worst I've had. My therapist picked me up at 5:03. Not a big deal that she was 3 minutes late as I assumed she would just take me 3 minutes over. I asked her how she was doing and she responded "I'm tired. Let's get this done." I'm fairly certain my jaw dropped. In hindsight, I should've turned around and left right then and there. We went back to the room and she had a laminated paper showing me the different add-on's that were available. I told her I was not interested in any as I am a very allergic person so just wanted a massage only. She attempted to sell me a pain relief oil/gel, and I declined, again stating that I was not going to purchase anything topical as I cannot take that risk. She then tried to upgrade me with a facial mask. I again declined. She then offered one more service (I don't even remember what it was at this point because I was so completely annoyed that she wasn't listening to me) and again told her that I just wanted a massage only. She finally gave up and asked if I had areas of concern and I told her that I wanted full body with the exception of face and abdomen. As far as specific areas, I told her I was having some low back pain stemming from my left hip, and I had had a bad headache and asked that some time be spent on my scalp. She claimed that if she focused on those areas, there was a "90% chance" she could not do a full body. (?!) I told her that she could spend less time on those areas if she had to, because I feel it is important to address the whole body. Let me also note that in the 20 years of receiving monthly massages I have had 50 minute services before and the therapist was able to do full body quite adequately, so I'm not sure why she was being what I felt was argumentative. She left the room so that I could undress and get on the table. I am familiar with hydraulic tables, and this one was raised as high as it would go, so I had to basically climb up into it. (I thought that was very strange because my therapist was not that tall.) When she came back into the room she lowered the table and did one stroke from my shoulders to my hips and asked how the pressure was. I told her I was not sure yet. She repeated that same stroke a couple of times, and while doing so her tummy was being pushed into the top of my head which was very uncomfortable to have that kind of compression on my cervical spine. The massage only went downhill from there. She was sniffling the entire time, and I was really wishing she would put tissue in her nose (which I know is a trick therapists do.) She spent all of 60 seconds on my scalp, which consisted of her squishing the sides of my head in between her palms while I was face down. It did not feel good at all. She never did my upper traps, front of my neck, pecs, glutes, or feet. It was basically back, legs, and arms. None of my areas of concern were addressed, and this was far from a full body massage. She left the room at 5:57. When I called to book my appointment I requested a 60 minute deep tissue massage. It was never explained to me when I booked and also upon check-in that a 60 minute service is actually a 50 minute service. The therapist subtracts 5 minutes to undress and another 5 minutes to get dressed. After the fact, I saw that this information is on their website, but I didn't book on the website, I booked over the phone. It would've been nice when I booked, considering I stated quite clearly that I was calling to book a 60 minute massage, to have this explained. I was charged a $55 "introductory rate" and was told that the regular rate is $100. The girl behind the counter asked if I would be back again, and I was honest and told her probably not. She just said "I'm sorry" and left it at that. I hate complaining, but I would absolutely not ever pay $100 for a 50 minute service. I would rather spend a bit more and spend a day at a spa where I can enjoy a 50 or 60 minute massage, plus amenities. As far as Massage Luxe amenities, they do have an aqua bed, (I believe they call it their Hydroluxe) and my service included 15 minutes in the bed but I'm not a huge fan of them personally. I likely won't be back as this was not the type of massage I was looking for. My therapist was young, and therefore probably a bit inexperienced, but some basic common sense, professionalism, and listening skills go a long way. read more

FIND ANOTHER PLACE!!! I don't usually do this but I feel like I must! Horrible experience a second time in a row today. I show up for my 9am appointment today. My therapist Fee has not arrived and it's after 9. I go out to the front desk and ask if Fee is here. She tells me she will call her. Couple minutes tells me she missed her exit so she's running late. Another five minutes later, I ask again and she tells me she's stuck in traffic. So which is it? Missed her exit or stuck in traffic? Unreal! Shouldn't people that are in the service industry be required to be at work at least 10-15 minutes before their schedule? And if there are not going to be shouldn't somebody already know that they are running late? And I will add the first time I was disappointed was from one of the male massage therapist putting my hand on his leg while he rubbed my hand and arm. That time I was comped for that service. I actually really loved this place. I was reccomeded by a friend for my birthday and MAN OH MAN it was everything I needed and more. The therapist was really great about making me feel safe, comfortable and asked permission before touching me anywhere. The environment of the room was clean and eucalyptus aroma therapy was part of the massage. Not to mention after, part of your service includes 15 mins of a hydromassage (and its heated!) I wish I didnt live 40 mins away, I would actually try to come more options. The membership options they had available too were really reasonable for what you get with each service. read more

I have been getting massages for decades and this was one of, if not, the worst. Everyone there bragged about the therapist. It started with a wonderful hot wet towel, that she poked me through. She abruptly removed the towel and I was freezing with a completely exposed WET back. The proceeded to poke at me for what felt like an eternity. No long even pressured strokes at all. She kept removing her hands then startling me every time she placed them on my body. First rule of massage is to always be touching the client. The whole experience was sensory overload. The music was so loud and the lights were bright enough to host a dinner party. She had what I can only assume was a walkie talkie on her waist that was crackling in my ear the entire time. The front staff was delightful. I felt horrible not signing up for their membership because I enjoyed the front desk ladies so much. read more

Awesome place for a massage! I was greeted by Aida who was very personable, professional and really nice until my massage therapist came to take me to the back which was Alex! The entire visit was great and would definitely recommend this place above all others! I have been seen by several of the massage therapist depending on availability and each and everyone of the employees were always amazing! Aida was amazing as I believe she is a manager there and was able to work around my schedule to rebook me for another session! The facility is always clean and sanitary every time I have went! I have been coming here for years and I've loved it. Management was amazing, the front desk was so welcoming and I absolutely loved my massage therapist. Unfortunately, my experience has changed. I called to speak with a manager regarding my account because I have so many unused hours and it was probably the worst interaction I have had with any business. I was told there was a new manager, I believe she said her name was Megan. She was extremely rude and dismissive. Had an awful attitude and did not seem to even care about what my concerns were. Her tone was if she was a child and didn't know how to speak with a customer. Besides that, when I went for my massage, the place was filthy. I don't think I've ever seen this place so dirty. There was what seemed like crumbs on the floor in the waiting room, and the bathroom had a huge stain on the floor. My massage was still amazing. I love my therapist and it sucks because I want to continue to see her, but I think this place has just gone downhill.
