I was able to get a hour long massage with hot stones and a facial! WOW!!!! 1-Amber really knows her stuff. She was great! She worked out my kinks and gave me recommendations on what to do at home to help with my issues. 2-the hot stones are awesome! 3-you get a little report card when you leave! So cute! Had a massage here, I was told 60 min, more like 40 min, and I thought it was meh, just okay, could have been better because I told them I would like a deep massage, I even told them that they can go harder if they can. I have a membership with massage heights and have had nothing but problems at the Tiffany Springs location. Their manager is unwilling to call you back and speak with you. She gets the receptionists to relay the messages. The turnover with therapists is very high. So if you find someone you really like they will likely just disappear . I have switched to the Shoal Creek location and have had a wonderful experience. My 18 year old daughter booked a massage at Tiffany Springs location by mistake instead of Shoal Creek. I was buying her a 90 minute massage for her birthday. She booked a firm massage. She was with the therapist Stephanie and several times she asked for a deeper pressure to the point where she just stopped asking. She could not wait to just leave. Stephanie made her feel very uncomfortable. Being younger she is still learning to stand up for herself. We voiced are concerns with Kim the head therapist and the manager and absolutely nothing was done about it. Stephanie blamed my daughter and said there was nothing wrong with the massage. The massages were tailored to our needs and we both felt much better after. While it is a membership based place, they were not pushy or salesy like other places. I hate hate hate to complain. As you can see I mostly give great reviews. It's seldom that a place makes me not enjoy an experience but today it happened. I entered massage heights and the receptionist was so pleasant and warm! I adored her. She even said I would get the new client rate since it had been years since I'd been to a massage heights. What a great start! I went in for my massage which I was hoping to be relaxing. She asked if I wanted aromatherapy... yes please and for free! The massage therapist asked what I was hoping from my session and I said to relax and destress. Now I know I have a lot kinks and knots and I told her to do what she needed to do. However, I was cringing and tensing up the entire time. I was literally in PAIN. Surely she could tell by my muscles that I wasn't able to relax AT ALL or enjoy it. I should have spoke up but I get so nervous in those situation. I'm sure I'm not alone. Leaving, I went to the lobby and the girl that checked me in was not there. The new person tried to continue to sell me on their weekly/monthly services (3rd was e since my visit) AND charged me full price and not the entry rate the other person promised. At this point I was sore, out of it, and ready to leave. Defeated. It's rare that I can find the time for a me day and today was my chance. I'm so sad that it wasn't a pleasant experience. I have been a member for 3 years + and I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys massage therapy. Very clean comfortable location. The cost is automatically deducted and if I miss a month I have credit for the time and elevation. I have seen several therapists over the years Kim, Kendal and today I really liked Micheal. All have been extremely professional. Kendal and Micheal have been excellent therapists! Both have pointed out my activities and habits based on my muscle structure and where my muscle tension is located. (Kendal asked me if I stand on my right foot regularly due to my leg muscle definition etc. Micheal asked if I was left handed due to the shape and tension in my left shoulder) I was I very impressed! The BF scheduled a couples massage here last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Samantha was my massage therapist and I told her going in that I wanted to relax and not be dug into and she actually listened. I can't tell you how many times it's happened where I've left bruised because other therapists (not here) have gone digging for kinks or whatever else they think they're doing. My massage was peaceful and I enjoyed every second of it. I upgraded to the hot stone massage and loved that also. You have to be prepared that you're going to have a temperature change from the hot stones to your cool skin but it's quite relaxing. I enjoyed the upgrade, my massage and our entire experience. The only reason that I'm giving it a 4 is because although my massage was fantastic, the boyfriend's therapist was a little of an odd duck. She seemed either new or extremely clumsy. Other than that, I'd recommend Massage Heights and Samantha if you like light to medium massages. Although I'm sure she does more than just light-medium. read more

I just had my very first massage and Amber Lynn was amazing. Not only was she very friendly and professional, she put me at ease right away. The room was very clean, the table was comfortable and the bedding was clean and well kept. I have Fibromyalgia so I was more than a little apprehensive, but Amber knew exactly what to do and what not to do. I have already made my next appointment. Started their 1 year membership in September. So far, one of my four '1-hour' massages lasted 45 minutes, and two have only lasted 40 minutes! I realize there is some undressing/dressing time -- but 20 minutes? I think not. And on the shorter ones, the therapist used lots of stalling tactics (i.e. excessive folding of the sheets, excessive fiddling with the towel warmer, lots of walking around the table, etc.) such that my 40 minutes felt like even less than that. Maybe I just keep getting crappy therapists... This was my birthday present this year. So far I'm pretty disappointed. ** Update It was just bad luck on bad therapists, and they are no longer there. I must not have been the only one disappointed. I've now had many fine massages there, so I'm changing my review. read more

I've been going here for over a year and cannot believe that I am just writing this review. Their staff is SO friendly & helpful - HUGE plus! The place is ALWAYS meticulously (sp?) clean. Also, each one of the staff members that I have conversated with has shown a genuine interest in my well being. The massages are great & I believe that the people who may have reviewed this place previously aren't familiar with massage etiquette. Most hour long massage appointments include a few minutes of consultation prior, a few minutes to get on the table & a 5-10 minutes at the end for you to get dressed. Very nice location, with several single person rooms and a couple two person suites. Massages are usually good, depends on the person, but of the 15+ massages I've had, only one was bad, and that had to do with the length of the therapists nails...I had a deep tissue, and at some different angles on my back, her nails dug in and were somewhat uncomfortable. They offer some different elevations, hot stone or aroma therapy are the two I've tried, the hot stones are very nice, but I don't feel they add much to the massage. Aroma therapy, they have several different scents, and all tend to clog my nose up, so I'm not a big fan. Massage times are usually at the top of the hour, but lots of times I can call in, and get an appointment the same day. Save a few bucks and sign up for their monthly plan, it's a good deal and keeps you on a routine...I like it. Also, most therapists keep a good notes in your file and make exercise/stretching suggestions based on the issues your contending with. Compared to massage envy, I think massage heights has the better therapists... read more

Was instructed to get there early to fill out paperwork as a first time guest, so I arrived 15 minutes early and was helped by a very nice lady at the front desk. Paperwork only took me about 5 minutes to fill out, no big deal, but it was another 20 minutes (10 minutes after my scheduled appointment was supposed to start) until I met with the therapist and was led back to the room. Not a big deal as I was in no rush. So we started about 15 minutes late, however she ENDED THE MASSAGE EARLY... so What was supposed to be a 60 minute massage was only 45 minutes. I won't be going back for this reason. No big deal if you have to start late, but if you only massage me part of the time I was scheduled for, and expect me to pay for a full hour, then you're scamming people. The massage itself was not bad, not the best I've ever had and I really needed it, but the "added on" face massage I paid an additional cost for wasn't worth the money, especially considering she basically only massaged the rest of my body for about 35 minutes when I paid for 60. read more

Since I visited a Massage Heights monthly for a year, several years ago, I thought I would purchase a gift card for my daughter, maybe three visits. When I called, they asked who it was for and I asked if that mattered. She explained that the price was different for a second visit. I assumed - of course - that you would get a discount for being a return customer. I was absolutely wrong. The first-time price is $60 but the second visit costs $100. $100?!?!! for a place that only uses new massage therapists, usually with very little experience. Massage heights is a great company, but this one did not seem up to par with other Massage Heights that I've been to. For as much as I paid, I expected better service. Scheduled a last minute apt with this location recently. They took my card info and said "We will not charge it's just to hold the appointment." I was unable to make the apt as I was stuck on the floor for two hours at home from throwing my back out. Two days later I'm mobile and make it to the shoal creek location..which they would get more stars. Then I see a $65 charge from this location as well. I call and talk about it with the manager Tricia and she said we charge for no shows. I told her what the employee had told me and she cut me off, tried speaking over me and telling me for future ref we charge for no shows. I replied for future ref you should tell the employees to say that instead of telling people it won't be charged and just to hold the apt. She was very rude and don't recommend anyone spending their money here. School creek location they were very professional and would recommend that location to anyone over this one on the zona side. read more

I have never had a poor experience there with a therapist, in fact, up until recently, my wife and I both had exclusively gone to Massage Heights both on the Monthly plan or even as the occasional "just need to feel better" getaway. That being said, Massage Heights and I have separated and are heading for a messy divorce, never to be together again. Most recently I signed up for a three month plan, the one unfortunate thing about Massage Heights is that after a great therapy session, the anxiety and tension of leaving puts all the stress right back in your body as you are pestered with offers for a monthly plan, a short term plan, on an on. And saying No Thank You is just interpreted as "ask the same question in a different way". But it is good for you and healthy so again, I gave the three month plan a go. Three months, of that I was assured; in fact I pre-paid for the three months of massages, got a nice pamphlet and contract and off I went. As life would have it, and my own laziness, I did not get the massages I paid for, but hey! That was my problem and my own fault. But following my three pre-paid massages, I was charged $60 for a monthly plan. Well that was a surprise, so I called Massage Heights and asked what had happened. Just a mistake I was told, some plans roll into a monthly plan but mine should not have; it would be corrected and the money refunded. As the next month rolled around I had yet to see said refund but rather right on time another $60 was withdrawn from my account. Alrighty, first time I understand the whole "roll-over" thing, but I was told this would be taken care of. I called again on September 21st and spoke with the manager who was kind and thoughtful and even offered the two massages I had not used, but again promised me that my troubles were over and this was going to be cared for. I would receive a refund for my now two months of charges. Well, my friends the story should end there but as you've gone this far with me, you can tell that it did not and I, in turn, have become a bitter, angry, old, bald dude. Believe it or not, I was charged yet again!! No refund, but now I am a few copper pennies short of $180.00 out of my account. First time, okay, just a communication issue, second time it is on you to fix please. Third time and we've moved past the acceptable. I hope to hear from a manager soon and I hope to get my promised money back, beyond that I am afraid I will bid a fond adieu to Massage Heights and trust my time and money to someone who follows through on their "promise". read more

He asked questions to determine my needs. I get massages frequently and this massage was one of the best. Great pressure and really worked out the knots. I appreciated that he told me when I had 10 min left and asked me what area he should focus on. If I lived in KC, I would have signed up for a membership. read more

Let me preface this with the good: the girls at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. My massage therapist was also a nice person. I booked an hour long massage as a non-member, which means I pay $30 more. No big deal...I get it. My appointment was at 11:30, and I got there early to fill out paperwork and to be ready to go. 11:35 my therapist came to get me. Her sales tactic started immediately and it was fine because my clothes were still on. She leaves to let me get dressed. It was 11:50 before the massage began, so I'm thinking no biggie, she will surely massage past 12:30. Now, I go into a membership based massage salon knowing everyone I interact with is a sales person, and that's fine. They are doing their job; however, it is not ok to be selling me in the middle of my massage - especially when I had repeated several times I was just there to relax. Low and behold, 2-3 times in be middle of my "relaxing" massage I'm asked why I don't make this more of a priority, given price estimates, etc. I will admit, I'm not hugely confrontational and didn't want to be rude, so I didn't stop her. Then, of course, she ends right at 12:30. So the hour I paid for was actually only 40 minutes. I questioned this, and she proceeded to argue with me that she started at 12:45. Ok, still, that's a 45 min massage. Then she said its only a 50 min massage time. Fine, but that was not the case for me. I paid the price and tipped her - the massage WAS good, so hopefully members get treated better. At the end of the day, I feel like I was not treated well, and I definitely didn't get my money's worth. Don't argue with customers, and own up to your mistake. Give a discount if the schedule is so packed that you can't give a full massage to a customer. It's not that difficult. read more

My complaint is they require a 30 day notice to cancel your membership but when they raise your rates they give you no notice at all. Our rates increases but we had not time to cancel before we were changed another month at the new higher rates. I understand this is their policy and we signed the agreement I just believe that if you're going to raise rates you should give people more than a week notice. I went here to help me recover from a work-sustained injury. Thomas was my therapist. He was running behind and quite stressed out by the time I laid down for the massage but was very professional and focused on my injured area (neck, traps and upper back). I asked for deep tissue and indeed got what I asked for plus some unique trigger point massage techniques. I felt pretty great when I left but man I was sore for almost a week after, almost more sore than when I started. In short, Thomas was good, but be tentative when asking for deep tissue (had a couple nail marks on my back that my fiancé questioned when I got home). First, my masseuse seems like a nice enough guy. However, this is hands down the worst massage I've ever received... And I've received hundreds of deep tissue in my lifetime. First, I paid for an hour and only got 45 minutes... But that was actually a blessing. Second, his elbow rolled off my muscles more times than I can count... At least a dozen. Third he sweat on me at least 5 times that I remember... I felt a drip on my back that he would dab up with the blanket. It's almost as if he had no real formal training in massage therapy. A couple times he was applying heavy pressure directly on my spine and I had to ask him to stop. If they allow this type of masseuse to work there, I have to assume that the others are on par with him as well. I would avoid this place if I were you... There are much better options read more
