My second visit was great. I brought my mom for a Mother's Day massage. Andy and Emma did our massages, and both were excellent. My only complaint is that the one-hour massage includes the time it takes to walk to the room and undress. My appointment was at 11:00. The masseuse came out about four minutes late, the massage didn't start until around 11:15, and it ended at 12:01. That's not a full hour. That aside, my main issue is with the manager, Karen. The Virginia location I used to go to closed without warning. I had credits left, and this is now the closest location to D.C. The Virginia staff told me I could use my points to book a massage for someone else. I called the Sea Girt location to check if that applied there. Karen told me her location didn't honor that, which was fine. I called another New Jersey location, and they said the same. Again, no problem--I just want to use up the credits so I can find a place closer to home. When I called Karen back, she answered with a rude attitude and made a few sarcastic remarks about the policy. She said they were busy and would call me back. I waited almost two hours and never heard from her. Was she waiting for the appointment slots to fill before calling me back? I had to call again to schedule the appointment. That's not acceptable, especially since I actually like this location, even though it's over three hours from D.C. I hope they can improve the scheduling and be more upfront about the timing. As for Karen, she's the manager--so I'm not sure what can be done. read more

I would absolutely not recommend this business to anyone. I was going to be a first time customer and I was using a Groupon and they do not honor the price of your Groupon. Horrendous Customer Service. Read the reviews before booking anything here, either through them or through gift vouchers, groupons, or deals. Unless it is your literal first time, they wont honor any of those mentioned above and will instead just tell you to transfer it to someone else and then try to sign you up for a membership, which are loaded with hidden fees and rules for when you can schedule or cancel anyway. Be careful. I spent whatever I spent on a "paid in full" 3-month, 1-hour massage package. I thought I was buying 3 massage sessions. What I didn't know is that if the 3-month time period ends, so does the massage treatment. Today I forfeited an un-used hour session. I asked if anything could be done and I was told "no". Although the masseuse was very good the manager and owner of this franchise is a horrible person and has zero concept of how to treat the customer. After they make you join a 6 month membership and you decide you no longer want to continue the membership dude to an upcoming surgery they try to force you into another month of dues. Then they have the audacity to ask for a doctors note asking what the procedure is As if i am a 12 year old and they are a parent. I guess they don't know what a heppa violation is I left and asked the rude front desk person to have management call me. Instead i got a nasty email and no call. I will forward the email and my complaint to the better business bureau as well as to the franchise They need to learn that they're in business because of the customers. Stay away from this place. They also start every massage 5 minutes late and end every massage ten minutes early. So an hour massage is only 45 mins. Table is heated, and you are covered with quilt as well as sheet-i asked not to use quilt and was told company policy she had to use it. Mediocre attempt to massage body encumbered with this coverage. Massaged only sole of feet not the whole foot - I asked why ? gave unacceptable response - I told her I probably would not use service again. Therapist asked why? You go to get a massage to relax and relief stress only to be meet with what I would consider high pressure sales to join and get a membership. The sales tactics are extremely off putting. The front desk staff makes a feeble attempt to be pleasant until you tell them you would not like a membership and then become blatantly rude. It's bizarre. Also, today my mother-In-law went to get a massage with a gift card that I bought her and after the massage they told her there was no money on it and we must of used the card for a massage before gifting it to her, which again is very bizarre. I have been a member of massage heights for more than 3 years in Atlanta, GA. I recently moved back to Pennsylvania and the Sea Girt, NJ location is the closest to me. I had an outstanding experience, way above my expectations at this location!!! After several incidents with my transfer of credits and attempts to cancel my membership due to relocation, I was very frustrated. The managers at Sea Girt, Ron and Korinne took it into their own hands and contacted the Atlanta location on my behalf. They sat me down in person after my outstanding massage and facial, sincerely apologized for the mix up which was not their fault in the slightest, explained to me how they were extending the use of my credits for 2 additional months and confirmed that my membership was canceled. The way they advocated for me and personalized the situation was an incredible surprise and it made me feel so appreciated!!! I couldn't thank them enough for their compassion, understanding and efforts to ensure my happiness. Karen and Kerry - front desk, Patty - lead skin therapist and Kerving - deep tissue massage therapist were all so kind and made me feel like family. Kerving was incredibly strong and thorough with the deep tissue massage... such a therapeutic and much needed session! Patty gave me a very relaxing facial as well. I felt safe with covid protocols and will absolutely be back ASAP. If I was closer, I would continue a membership at this location without a doubt!!! It is a few minutes from the beach, so I was able to enjoy myself there for a continued self care day. 5 stars for Patty, the esthetician. She is the reason why I continued to go to Massage Heights for facials. But I have finally taken all I am going to take with the "hard sell" at the front desk. At every appointment, I was badgered to join, to buy a package deal, etc., no matter how I tried to resist. Lately, I tried to make an appointment by phone, and the staff member gave me a hard time because I wasn't a "member"...She put me on hold for a while, acted like there weren't any appointments, and then wanted my credit card number! This is not a good business policy. I see other reviews complaining about the same thing, yet nothing has changed. Does Massage Heights care? Does it want customers? You lost me. I was looking to get a facial, but ended up getting a facial and massage for a price that I could not pass up! Massage Heights was offering a $99 special for a one hour facial AND one hour massage. I am normally skeptical with deals like this, but I was so pleasantly surprised!!! The facial was amazing; it left my skin feeling so fresh. Also my aesthetician, Patty gave me a complimentary microdermabrasion service which I really appreciated because I have wanted to have this done for so long! The massage was also great - Denise focused on the areas I told her I was having discomfort. The massage also came with a complimentary aromatherapy; you get to chose from three different oils to be used during your massage. I feel like both services (the facial and massage) exceed my expectations. Massage Heights is gorgeous, very modern, and super clean. Also it is in a great location, so afterwards you can go shopping or grab a bite to eat! On the other hand, Massage Heights is pretty pricey (which is why I rated it four stars instead of five), but if they have another deal I will be back in a heart beat! read more

I found this spa when I lived in Sea Girt for a year, renting a cottage by the ocean. I didn't expect that a chain establishment would be such an amazing experience and have such high quality therapists at really awesome rates with the membership. I have been going back to see the same therapist, Lauren, for over 2 years, even after I moved a considerable distance from the spa. It's about a 35 minute drive for me now but I still make the trip every few weeks to get pampered. When Lauren has been unavailable, I've seen Tracy and she's also incredible. They both do wonders for sore back, neck and shoulders! Last but not least... Karen at the front desk is one of my other favorites - always smiling, warm and welcoming and has a great memory for clients - makes the place feel like home. read more

I love a good spa day and tend to be picky. Massage Heights Sea Girt is fantastic! Meticulously clean, friendly, beautiful spa reception and staff. I've been a member for over a year now. You can't beat the prices or the level of service. Quite private rooms, hydraulic massage table with "breast plate" that lowers while "face down." You even get to select your own music during your massage. Excellent massage therapists. Estheticians and HydroFacials are amazing too. Three of us booked appointments at Massage Heights for a long overdue spa day/birthday celebration. We booked 2 massages and a facial. The services we received were nothing short of extraordinary. The two individuals who got massages raved about them. They also each received an "add on" to their massage, so one had the hot stones and the other had the foot scrub. They said both were great. I had the facial. I'm very picky about my facials. They use Dermalogica products, and my skin likes that. They perform gentle blackhead extractions and to me, unless you're getting those, it's not a facial. The lead skin therapist, Patty, is amazing. She's been an aesthetician for a long time and really knows her stuff. Highly recommend her!! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the manager, Corinne, and her assistant, Nikki. Uber professional and friendly. The spa is squeaky clean, with everyone wearing masks at all times. Two of us bought memberships we liked it that much! The price point here is very affordable. They ask once and then let it go, the harassing when you pay always gets me, but this was an easy and enjoyable experience. I have been to Massage Heights for prior services. Mostly facials and this one was just wonderful. My facialist; Patty was personable and knowledgeable. I had a microdermabrasion followed by the Hydrafacial that is highly recommended . It lasted one hour and my skin looked rejuvenated and wrinkle free( I am 60) after a summer of sun and salt water. I love that Massage Heights had limited clients at a time and is not a large spa with everyone walking around in robes . Front desk personnel was also very lovely. The hydra facial is pricier than your normal facial but you can see the difference immediately snd who doesn't love that~ read more
