I was greeted immediately and given instructions to fill out forms that are required for the massage/facial. The facial was awesome, it was my first time getting one it felt super refreshing. I got a facial awhile back from breanna Flynn at first I thought she was very professional, and she ending up sharing personal business of mine with another client of hers that I happened to know. Completely unprofessional, she pretends to be this person who cares about you but really using your business to gossip! Bought a gift package for my sister. She had a facial done. She said it was one of the best she ever had. The person who worked on her was knowledgeable and did try to sell her any serums or soaps for her face. She gave her a soothing face massage. I received the best massage of my life on Friday evening courtesy of Glenn. I am a restaurant server, which takes a toll on my back, legs and feet. My muscles were exceptionally tight this time. I got a 120-minute deep tissue massage with hot stones. By the end of the session, I was beyond relaxed and really felt the therapeutic value of the work he had done. The masseuses are great however the management is absolutely terrible. I have had the worst business experience with this place and you would think the manager would help right? No. I never write bad reviews because I understand how hard people work for their money but when the manager Nick tries to use wordplay to fool you into buying the monthly membership, please do not be tricked. He tried telling me to pay only $10 for their first month of the Luxe Membership and receive an hour massage and cancel right after so I do not get charged monthly. He DID NOT explain to me that they were going to charge me for the first month if I did cancel before then. He did not make it clear to me when he when I was signing up for the membership that I had to cancel after the first cycle. When I called back and wanted to cancel my membership that's when I was told for the first time that I can't cancel until after the first monthly cycle. So basically the first month you pay $10 + $70. I was not told this when I was asking multiple questions about how the membership works. I did not like the way Nick was talking to me about this on the phone and made me want to cancel my membership even more. As a business owner, I care a lot about customer service and I did not receive that respect that an establishment should have. Also, I have no intention of coming back after Nick overheard my friend and I speaking PRIVATELY about our massages in the Luxe Room. She was talking about her first-time experience getting a massage to me PRIVATELY and afterward we were shocked when he requested a statement from my friend about what she had experienced. She explained to Nick how if she had a problem with the experience she would've told the management but he insisted because he said it was "protocol." Nick basically tried to get the masseuse in trouble for something she did not do (At least that's how we felt about the situation.) On the other hand, I tried calling to cancel my membership as Nick advised me to do so and just to end up finding out that they are going to charge me for something I was not willing to pay for. I told Nick to expect and honest review and he assumed I was threatening him? (Which was really strange). To end things, I bet Nick is going to try and respond back saying he has recordings of me signing up and agreeing to pay the monthly fee through his sneaky world play but I really don't want to hear back from terrible management. Like I said the masseuses are excellent people I feel bad they work under terrible management. If the owner reads this, please understand you have lost a customer who has recommended three people to your establishment in the past month and I can shamefully give the names. I started coming to Massage Luxe from a Groupon I bought and my first experience was so wonderful I ended up joining their membership and I love it! Glenn is my therapist of choice I would recommend him to anyone he is truly passionate about his massage work, he listens very attentively and works thoroughly. I had the perfect massage and signed up to receive massage monthly, although I will most likely go at least twice a month for 90 minutes each time. They have this amazing hydro-bed that I can use with my membership that is a huge perk. The front desk was helpful as well when I made my first appointment. I am so happy I stopped in. read more

I received a gift certificate for a massage. Christine was my massage therapist and was wonderful and pleasant. Since I already provided the gift certificate to desk staff after my massage I headed to the door to exit. I was stopped and asked to return to the desk to pay a tax on my service. When I went back to the desk the staff told me that I could pay $10 and get another massage the following month for $70 due when I returned. I was interested since I had a wonderful experience and liked the atmosphere too. I was asked for a credit card to keep on file. I told the staff I was uncomfortable with that and verified that the deal was not part of a membership plan. I was assured it was not was asked to sign an electronic receipt for the service. When I left the spa I was uncomfortable with the fact that they kept my credit card and was suspicious that was not part of some membership going forward. When I got home I looked over the receipt and was confused by the legal language. I called as soon as the spa opened the following day and was assured again that it was not part of a membership. The person I spoke with said that I could terminate if I agreed to pay the $70 For the service we discussed when I was leaving. If it wasn't a contract I didn't understand why I had to pay the $70 and keep my credit card on file. I asked for the manager to call me back and said I was uncomfortable and asked if I could terminate the entire agreement. The manager called me and did not bring up the $70 and just said that she would terminate my agreement. They did send me a letter this morning stating that my agreement was terminated. The $10 I paid upfront was not refundable but is a small price to pay to avoid a hassle going forward. Sadly I will not return to this establishment. It was clean and the therapist was perfect but not worth the uncertainty that followed. read more

I have been a member of Massage LuXe for over four years. I originally went with a Groupon and decided to return because my experience was so positive. I have always had a great massage or facial here, no matter which person gave it. The atmosphere is relaxing, the rooms are extremely clean, the therapists friendly and professional and I always feel wonderfully pampered after any experience here. I had a membership at a different massage chain and was treated like a number. That does not happen here I am treated with respect and kindly which matters. Also, the fact that there is not a high employee turn around is telling. The staff is treated well here. I drive 45 minutes to come to Massage LuXe in Middletown because the experience is worth the drive. I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Purchased a gift card and scheduled an appointment for my husband. My husband showed up at his scheduled time and waited about 15 minutes. The receptionist then tells him that his therapist just called and said "she just wasn't coming in" and his massage was cancelled at that time. I called and spoke to the receptionist who said the manager would call me. It's been a month and I still have not received a call from the manager. Now disputing the charge on my credit card. AWFUL service and apparently the manager does not know how to run a business. read more

I was scheduled for a seaweed facial today but Melissa suggested I would benefit more from a biolight facial. She assured me it would only be $78 for the hour. I could not believe it when she had told me the price because down the street they do the same treatment for $150. Leaving the facial, my face felt fresh and rejuvenated. The girls at the front desk were friendly and inviting. The spa is beautifully modeled and spotlessly clean. It's just an all around wonderful place to spend your day off. I've been a member here for almost a year now. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and welcoming, and they explain everything so well. I even had gotten a new card and missed 2 payments and they were very accommodating with how they handled it! I'm in there almost every day using the Hydro and I've never had a bad massage or facial.
