It helps to wear loose clothing so you can roll up the sleeves, etc. Then the arms, hands, and a fair amount of time spent on the feet and legs, which was heavenly for this 8 month pregnant lady. My masseuse had me then lay on my side and massaged the back and switched sides. It was my first time and I will go back again! Very happy to have it in the neighborhood!

After a few minutes of waiting, I was checked in and opted for the Signature Package (foot soak, full body massage, and foot reflexology). The Vibe & Setup If you're looking for a private, candle-lit spa room, this isn't quite that. The back area is a large, open floor plan divided by curtains, with two beds per section. A heads-up for first-timers: this is a "clothes-on" massage. It was my first time at a spot like that, which was a bit of a surprise! The Massage Quality The experience started with a nice soak, but the actual massage left something to be desired: - Zero Communication: My therapist didn't check in once to ask how I was doing or if the pressure was to my liking. - Pressure Was Too Light: I personally prefer a firmer touch, and this felt very "surface level." I walked in with a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders, and unfortunately, I walked out feeling that same stress. - The Highlight: I will say my feet felt significantly better afterward! The reflexology portion was definitely the strongest part of the service. Final Verdict Overall, it was a "just okay" experience. While the foot massage was a win, the lack of communication and the weak pressure on my back and shoulders made it hard to fully relax. In an area with so many competitive massage spots, I'm not sure I'd prioritize a return trip her

There is parking on the street on the curb in front of the storefront. It is only a couple of bucks. My first experience with a head spa was in Japan. The experiences were very similar. You are given a silk kimono to wear. After sitting down, you get a full visual of your hair and scalp. Whoever is helping you that day will give you a breakdown of what was seen and what will be done to treat your hair/scalp. The massage and washing of your head/hair is very therapeutic and relaxing. After your session, you revisit your hair/scalp and you can see the changes from a 60 minute treatment. You are also given a cup of yummy tea and a snack if you'd like. I've had a Japanese head massage/scalp eval at a different location (different folks completely), and loved it, so I had very high expectations here. All in all - this 60 min experience was a glorified hair wash. Maaaaybe about 20 min in the middle was a really wonderful scalp massage, but it was pretty much just A TON of rinsing out my hair. Back and forth, a shampoo, steaming, rinse with this and that, then rinse rinse rinse rinse. The massage was so nice - and brief in the scheme of things - and then more shampoo (or treatment or something) and rinse rinse rinse. Then rinse rinse rinse rinse with a different technique. My hair is long, not absurdly long, and on the thicker side; I don't know if this was too much? A small thing that also would've been nice is being told what each item or step was; there was an awkward several minute pause in which my hair was "steaming" and I wasn't sure why nothing was going on and had to ask. I had told my masseuse specifically as well that I had a neck spasm, asking if she would work on my neck at all; wasn't sure if that was part of the scalp massage. She said yes and I got a few pats on the traps during the massage. What bothered me the most though, was the somewhat rapid jerking of my head off the bowl for different elements of the shampooing and rinsing - this did NOT help my neck. All in all - on their website on the front page it says "About our spa: deep scalp & neck myofascial release". I just don't feel like this accurately reflects what went on in 60-70% of my hour-long massage, which was, again, a fairly well-marketed hair wash/rinse. With that description - and price ($160 for an hour) - I want a head, scalp, and neck massage, not a hair wash. The studio is very clean and well-kept, with pleasant decor and music.

I took my mom today and she usually is like "meh" after a massage but after coming here, she could not stop praising them! It helped her sciatica so much! She said all the tension in her leg and head were gone! It's a small place but it's so clean, so welcoming, and so professional! The only thing I will mention is you need to leave early so you don't get caught up in Pasadena traffic. The front desk staff were understanding and indicated they would let it slide, which I appreciated, as I have not visited your establishment in quite some time. However, I recently noticed an additional $20 charge on my credit card for the double booking. While policies are in place, this is excessive given the circumstances. I'm willing to accept the charge, but I must express my disagreement. I am never going back to your business. To be clear, I was a generous tipper for your staff during my visit, yet that seems to have had no bearing on my overall experience. This has led me to reconsider my loyalty to your business. Numerous alternatives offer similar services, and their customer service is worth considering. You may have lost a long-term customer due to this incident. I hope you take this feedback seriously.
