This place is the worst. I paid for an hour but only received 45 minutes. She took time setting up which cut into my hour and then she helped another customer and did not add in the time she took stepping away. They do not speak English here and even with a translator they were unable to communicate. I attempted many times to say how I liked my massage and the pressure and she could not understand. She was very rushed, and maybe did not even take the time to try and understand. And then when leaving, stopped me for a tip. I shouldn't have to tip anything especially when she was not kind at all. The very first time that I came to this establishment I had made an appointment for a pedicure. I arrive on time for my pedicure and I still had to wait as if I was a walk-in client. Fine I didn't mind waiting up until my wait time reached 30 minutes so I just left. Ok..I give this place a 2nd try, this time I arrive at 10am which is when they open. I did not call for an appointment because I figured having an appointment was pointless since they had me wait the last time. As I walked in at 10am no one was around, I walked into an empty salon. No greeting, no sorry for making wait no nothing. She then asks me if I called to make an appointment and I said no because they don't honor appointments compared to my last visit. I explained that I chose to come early at the time they advertise their salon hours in hopes that I can one of their first clients for the day. She then asks me to sit down and wait. I go ahead and wait and after another 10 min a worker walks into the salon, this time I'm think great that's probably the nail technician! Nope! She comes in doesn't even acknowledge me and walks straight to the back. At this time I'm getting supper irritated and annoyed because where's the customer service? They simply don't have that here. I'm try my best to not ruin my Saturday morning so I let it go and continue to wait. It's now 10:30am and I saw a lady in the back of the salon and asked her what's taking so long, why am I waiting 30 min after they just opened. She tells me that the nail technician is not there and that the two other ladies were in charge of massages. I bought a Groupon for a much needed hourlong massage. And then I went to the wrong location. DOH! Then I drove to this location on Colorado and read all the bad reviews about parking! I hate when places have paid parking or just difficult parking in general. After I drove around looking for some street parking, I decided to park across the street at Paseo for 90 minutes free! There is nothing better than free parking! You can also self validate at the top of the escalators where the claw game is located. SCORE! So I walk across the street to get to Happy Feet. I walk in and it's empty. Not surprising because it's a Wednesday night. There is one guy sitting in there on his phone. He doesn't greet me or look in my direction. I don't know if he's an employee or someone's boyfriend waiting to leave. I stand around, look in the back, I even go behind the counter. This guy doesn't react. I thought, he really must not work here because he clearly doesn't care that I'm going behind the counter where there's a cell phone waiting to be stolen. Eventually, two ladies come in who look like possible employees in their coordinating outfits. For some reason, their entrance gets the attention of the guy and he realizes I'm in there. He says, "oh, how can I help you? I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." I'm thinking, how can you not see me? I was standing 5 feet in front of you! Anyway! I get led to the back room and there is an area with the massage beds. Someone is occupying one of the beds. The beds are separated by a thin piece of fabric. But fear not, you will not be undressing. Just be sure to wear comfortable clothes that make it easy to be massaged. The massage itself was mediocre. As I write this, I can't even recall the details. All I know is that I probably won't be returning. Edit: I remember!!! The masseus used tiny tiny bits of lotion only when she massaged my neck and hands. My upper body needed work because just doing the lower body was like having two kids and giving candy to one kid and my upper body was feeling the slight. I told them to focus on my upper body and it was like 70/30 which is fine. Their deep tissue massage for 90 minutes is $70 and it's more like 85% their signature massage and 15% anything actually resembling deep tissue massage. Seriously look up KT Feamster on Yelp whose prices and convenience as well as skill blow this place out of the water instead. He actually asked if I wanted oil which is weird for deep tissue massage which requires traction and therefore lotion as opposed to oil. He ended up using lotion on the "deep tissue" parts but their signature massage uses lotion too. Are they confusing deep tissue with deep relaxation massage when asking about the oil? Also, seems a bit of a biohazard but why are his fingers in my ears for a deep tissue massage?! Wtf weirdo creeps. The parking in the back is $5 or $7 or so but I still really loathe the parking situation around this area (one hour limit parallel spaces and flat fee all day in the back). Eff this place. I always love going to Happy Feet! It's my go-to place for a massage, and I've been to very many different places. The prices are great, and the massage feels like an acupressure massage. Of course if you prefer something softer they always accommodate. They find all my spots that need desperate help, and I always feel so much better after. The other thing I really love about them is that every masseuse gives a similar style so I know when I go in I'm not going to be surprised by a different type of massage. This is extremely important to me. Often times at other places and I might return because I enjoy a massage someone gave me, I'll get a different masseuse and the massage is completely different from the original and I'm very disappointed. Whoever is answering the calls better not be the owner. I called to ask questions about a modified massage for my elderly parent because of a recent fall and other ailments. The (asian) female was condescending and ended without giving the opportunity to say hardly anything with, "if you want a massage just come in to get a massage don't matter your age." Then on my second call attempt to inform and inquire she cut me off and hung up immediately after saying, "just come in if you want a massage." This was on 6/28/2024 at Noon and before 12:45 pm as I've been trying to get hold of someone else but she is hanging up, and not allowing my calls to go through. I am hoping she wasn't the owner and am hoping to reach the owner to alert them of her behavior. If she is the owner, then stay away as she would have the attitude of I just want your money but don't want to provide the customer service that comes with a business" type of attitude. I had by far the worst experience that one could have. I took my two daughters (ages 13 & 14) to get the combo as a mother daughter treat. I then decided that I would join them in getting a foot massage (which was not apart of my original plan). My daughters both enjoyed their massages which was a major plus being that it was their first time. The guy who gave me a massage smelled like cigarettes, but I was able to over look that because I really wanted to enjoy my massage. After we received our services, I only had a few dollars to give for a tip (I am a pretty good tipper, but did not realize that I did not have cash). I had already spent our budget on our massages so I did not want to charge a tip. I felt pretty bad about this and in kindness began to explain. The workers were ANGRY with me for this. As I explained that I paid for the services and even added myself as an addition (which earned them more money) I was truly sorry for the lack of a good tip and I simply did not have more to give. They demanded that I speak to their manager and pay a 25% tip per person (there were three of them). Now, I would have left, got cash and came back to tip them, had they not been so demanding and all out rude in front of my daughter. They yelled..."Don't come back!" The only positive I can say that I had in this experience, is that I was able to show my daughters how to respond when others are angry, rude and all out mean. I will not be returning which is so sad. Because I have been going there for years, with my mother on Mother's Day and any chance I got before the pandemic! I wish I had had a groupon or so cal deal but I didn't, I paid full price. This place is on Colorado Blvd. across from the Paseo so you know it's high rent. The sign outside said $25 but that's a leader. The good news: They combine offering nail services in one area and foot/body massages in another area. They have a written menu with prices so you know what you're getting into. The floors were clean or at least much cleaner than some nail salons I've been to where clippings are left on the floor (yuck). There was a sterilizer in plain sight and the nail instruments were bagged. We were taken without an appointment. I'm a spur of the moment shopper. If you've never had Chinese foot massage, know this is done with your clothes on so wear shorts, or a skirt or loose pants you can roll up. Parking can be at the Union Street garage or the Paseo. You will need to pay for that. We chose two 40 min foot/body massages $30 each, and a manicure. I wanted a female operator (softer hands, hopefully more gentle) and Ling was my masseuse. I've been having "foot massage" for about 4 years so I've seen a lot. Most of my visits were to places on Valley Blvd. (allow me to digress and say-avoid Master Wongs...too rough, dirty, stinky, noisy and operators on their phones.) At Happy feet the massage area was darkened, air conditioned and quiet. At some one hour foot massages they bring the warm water/tea to soak your feet and let you sit untouched for 10 minutes. Here, once they were soaking my feet, Ling went to work on my head, face and sinuses. This is not a place to go if you've just had your hair done or don't want any changes to your hair or makeup. Ling worked my neck and shoulders both front and back, then proceeded to my feet and legs. During a massage, especially Chinese foot massage, I sometimes wonder why I'm doing this. The "reflexology" on the sole of the foot sometimes hurts, but I tell myself those corresponding sites must need help. The deep massage on the legs I tell myself she's moving blood and lymph for me. I just pray I won't have polka dot bruises. Ling had me roll over to the face down position, there's a hole in the table and a paper sanitary cover. and Ling worked my back, shoulders and arms. I believe at one time she was on top of me using her elbows. Well, it's the next day and I have no polka dot bruises so I guess all is good. Male manicurist did a great job, too. read more

The reason why I removed a star is due to the inconvenience when it comes to finding parking. You'll have to hunt down street parking and don't forget to pay ahead ($1.50 per hour, one hour limit) I'm sure getting a ticket on the windshield is the last thing you'll want after a relaxing massage. And also the layout is kind of awkward. You'll have to walk through the nail salon to check in. Then you enter the massage room, which is a big room with curtains dividing the beds. It's okay I guess but you can't help but to feel a bit weird about having someone literally 3 feet away from you. The service was good. The massage was great! However, I didn't like the fact when I was leaving, the masseuse peaked out the curtain and told the front desk I've already tipped her. Hmmm, I don't like the fact how they made it seem like tips are required. I meant, tips shouldn't be mandatory. What if the service sucked? Came here with a Groupon for a 60 minute massage. I think it ended up being about 56 minutes as she started late. Also, the masseuse seemed to disappear for about 2 minutes at a time. This happened at least 3 times. The pressure was not as hard as I am use to at other foot massage places. In addition, parking is not very convenient, and the location has a foul order when you walk in. Of course one should not have high expectations for a foot massage place, but this one fell short. 1 hour reflexology is only $25 and 10% off (from their 'specials' page online) if you go between 10am and 2pm. My therapist was Ying (I think that's how you spell it) and she was GREAT. I asked for firm pressure and it was absolutely perfect without being painful. I'd highly recommend going--this was my second time going and I can say that both times the massage and technique have been consistent. Like Lisa I. said, for the 1 hour reflexology, they do your neck, head, shoulders, feet, legs and arms but not your back (so there's no 'turn over' during your hour) and it was well worth it. Happy Feet lives up to its name, making my feet happy everytime I go there. Appointments are easily scheduled the same day. The front desk is super nice and very accommodating. There is street parking, parking at the post office or parking in the back. Bring small money if you are parking at postoffice. 3 bucks has to go in the big metal slot box. They now validate parking in the back too! You have to pay 5 bucks upfront but you get it back with validation. Make sure to get your orange sticker from the front deak. Everytime I go, we are taken to the back within minutes upon arrival. The back consists of a long hallway with a row of full body tables. Once you get your spot, you take off your socks and shoes and roll your pants up to your knees. Make sure to wear some comfy pants that can easily be rolled up. They soak your feet in hot water as they massage your head, neck, shoulders and arms as lay on your back under a cozy towel. Then they dry your feet and give you a foot massage that feels so relaxing you fall asleep. Then they turn you on your stomach so that they can massage your back. The full body table has a little hole for your head to rest so your face is not smashed. Its an hour long massage for 40 dollars. This place is perfect because its not expensive like Massage Envy and the quality of the massage is just as good. I always feel comfortable going here and Im always happy when I leave.
