It still hurt playing any sport where I needed to use my wrist (basketball, tennis, squash) and could even feel a twinge whenever I was writing. Went to see Dr. Dhillon on a recommendation from my tennis partner and she really worked the scar tissue build up in my hand/wrist and the exercises she gave me has it feeling back to normal. Feels great to play sports without restriction! I can't understate the frustration of always feeling discomfort and it feels so good to get back to my normal activities that I took for granted before. I saw Keagan at the Grande Prairie office and he was excellent. Hearing tests done, procedures explained, devices in my ears when I left, and a follow up appointment was set for the next week. The staff were really good about helping me get any financial assistance available. The next day I got an email from Keagan to see how things were going and to answer any questions I might have. I have seen him twice since and he has made any changes I needed, reassured me when I needed it, and taught me more and more about my hearing aids. I am sure there are places where the aids cost less, but the level of follow up, the free hearing test, follow up appointments and batteries more than makes up for the cost difference. I recently had surgery here and was thoroughly impressed with the experience (not so much with the…read morepost-op pain, but that's a separate issue). The day before I had my PAC (basically pre-op clearance). The wait times were short and the staff were super efficient and friendly. When time for surgery came the next day at 7am, wait times were again very short and I was in the operating room before I knew it, dozing off to some wonderful pharmaceuticals. I had to spend 2 nights in the hospital after the surgery, which were painful days, but made much easier by the friendly and competent nurses who were right on time for my 4-hourly doses of more wonderful pain killing pharmaceuticals. Discharge was a breeze, and that sums up my experience with the hospital. Only minus one star because the place is definitely showing its age and needs an update.
