I rarely write reviews but just needed to share how much my 2 sessions with Gail helped my shoulder/upper back pain. Having been to an orthopedic doctor months prior with minimal results, I decided to see if Gail would be able to help. I am beyond thrilled with how much Gail's Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) Massage helped me. Gail is so very professional and most definitely skilled. She was able to very quickly understand my situation and address my problem area with success beyond belief! Prior to seeing Gail, I just figured I would have to deal with the pain and lack of shoulder and arm mobility which was definitely affecting my daily life. I have had massages over the years, as a means to relax and enjoy; but, this massage went way beyond. I should have gone sooner. I definitely believe that NMT was at the root of my recovery above the 4 daily Aleve and exercises. While I hope not to have to return for another ailment, I won't think twice about scheduling an appointment with Gail. read more

I saw Gail speak at Clinton Library last year, and had referred my husband to Massage Therapy Group for an ongoing shoulder/back issue that he wasn't seeing much improvement on from his visits to one of the chain massage locations.. (he was also doing physical therapy). He paid back the favor by getting me a gift cert recently so I could try it out myself. It was my first massage in well over a year, and being a runner and someone who works at a computer desk all day, I definitely needed it! Erika was wonderful - I felt great afterward, my shoulders hadn't felt that good in a long time! My husband feels you get a more individualized treatment, compared to some of the chains where it can become sort of generic/just going through the motions. Not that there's ever a 'bad' massage, but the extra care and attention to detail at Massage Therapy Group is noticeable and I look forward to continued service and finding some relief for my own muscle issues. I have been going to Massage Therapy Associates for my athletic and rehab needs for several decades. Because of the great work done by Gail and Rachel, I was able to continue martial arts training well into my sixties. Gail untangled a bad neck that had tortured me for years. She also got me back into my martial arts after rotator cuff surgery. Recently, I have had complications from a hip replacement. I was still in pain and was limited in motion even after many months of orthopedic treatment and physical therapy. I was not expecting to go back into martial arts but I was left unable to do even long walks or water aerobics. So I called on Rachel at Massage Therapy Associates. I faithfully visited twice a month and I am delighted to say that I am now pain free and able to exercise again. Rachel and Gail are wizards! Gail Kinsey was highly recommended to me by a former massage therapist due to her skills in NeuroMuscular Massage, for relief of my constant neck pain. Up to this point, chiropractic and massage therapy did not provide the results I sought. Gail took her time skillfully assessing my condition and level of comfort throughout the session. I noticed considerable improvement after my session which continued as the day wore on. That evening I was able to sleep on my side, pain free! As a bonus, my massage loosened up my shoulder which I mistakenly thought ached due to a slight tear. After several more sessions, my body continues improving. Gail provides me with guidance to help myself improve by stretching and has encouraged me to explore additional physical therapy as an aid to diminish my chronic condition. read more

I have been seeing Gail for a couple of years and she is, by far, the best massage therapist I have ever seen. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the human body and knows exactly what muscles to focus on to alleviate pain. I had originally seen her for lower back pain which was greatly relieved by her massages. This year, however, I have started having sinus issues and terrible ringing in my ear. I visited many ENT doctors and found no relief. After one 90 min session with Gail my sinuses completely cleared up and my ear stopped ringing. It was literally like a miracle. I can not recommend her enough. Not only is a she a great masseuse but I thoroughly enjoy our chats during my visit. She's truly the best. Her space is warm, comfortable, clean and invited. This therapy group is amazing. I wish I found them sooner. I see Jake for pain massage therapy and it has drastically reduced my chronic pain. The rooms are clean, private, with soft music playing. Booking appointments online is easy. Jake is wonderful at assessing what the problem area(s) are then discusses with you how each session could be best used. He is kind, professional, and maintains your privacy at all times. Pain massage therapy is very different from regular massage therapy. This is focused massage and the therapists here are expertly trained to address acute and chronic pain issues. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with them if you suffer any type of pain. read more

I had a 90 minute massage with Gail this morning and I have to say it was the best massage I have ever had. I was feeling so much tension in my neck and back from sitting at my desk working from home over the last 6 months, and that massage was exactly what I needed! I am a big fan of deep tissue massage and Gail was very in tune with what level of pressure I needed and wanted and every second of the massage was perfect. My husband has also had massages with Erika of this practice for neck pain and he has never been impressed by massage therapists but could not stop talking about how good the massage with Erika was! You need to do yourself a favor and stop by this place... rather call in advance for an appointment the therapists that work here are amazing. I'm 6'6" tall and have had lower back problems most of my adult life. I've managed my back problems on my own until I found these folks, Rachel and Gail... and now my problem is in their very competent hands. Before working with them, I'd throw my back out 2 or 3 times a year but since seeing Rachel on a regular basis for about 3 years my back issues have disappeared. Rather than resort to medications, on the advice of my doctor, I have been seeing Gail Kinsey at Massage Therapy Group for the past year or so. I've been receiving massage therapy on a bad back and shoulder, both of which have caused me much pain for several years. She's not only drastically diminished my pain but given me stretches and exercises to do which help me in between massages. She's made helpful recommendations concerning everything from my work station, to foods to avoid, to inserts for my shoes. The office is neat, clean and very well run. Extremely knowledgeable, thorough and caring. I have been coming to Gail for massage for over 10 years. She has helped me recover from very painful back issues that were chronic - in only three sessions. She also pointed out a leg length and hemipelvis size discrepancy which I later had confirmed by x-ray. It turned out to be the cause of the chronic numbness in my left leg and excruciating pain after driving for more than an hour. After I had lifts put into my shoes and started using a pelvic lift on my chair, these problems went away. read more

My regular massage therapist, Rachel, is wonderful! She has in-depth knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology and knows what to do for every ache and pain I walk in the door with. The amount of pressure she applies is perfect. We start my massages with me talking up a storm, but by the end I am asleep on the table and completely relaxed. I have had extensive problems with my shoulder over the past 40 years due to a torn labrum and subsequent surgery 17 years ago. Over just a couple of months Gail has worked my shoulder and brought it to a level a motion/flexibility as well as painlessness that I never expected would be possible. The whole office staff is friendly and pleasant when I arrive. My therapist is Rachel S. and her work is excellent. Before scheduling a monthly appointment with Rachel my massages were sporadic.
