I chose this place because they had availability and had great reviews online. The two main reasons I did not like the experience is because we received the wrong massages. Instead of stone massages we received standard massages. Our masseuse was very apologetic when she realized the error while checking us out. I appreciate her confirming that because I otherwise would have thought that's just what stone massages are like. The second reason is because it was hard to relax. There are two massage rooms and the waiting room. We unfortunately could hear everything in the next room because the other masseuse talked very loudly to her patients. All this being said, the massage itself worked. I had some crazy tension in my neck/shoulders area and Brogan worked them right out! She was a professional with the massage and owning the mix-up with massage types. I really loved working with her and would still come back if she had an opening.

In a basement with very low-lighting and little windows. Went in for a couples massage and we had to go one after the other. They said because they didn't have two masseuses the price would be discounted but we ended up paying more than the listed price on the door. The massage experiences was terrible as well. The lady walked in on me while changing and didn't leave the room and watched me change. I got on the bed with a towel and underwear on and she ripped the towel and underwear off of my body. She never asked before hand if I was comfortable with this and I was extremely nervous. The masseuse got ON TOP of the bed with me and straddled my naked body with her legs and i was very uncomfortable. I was never asked for a massage preference and it was very rough and unpleasant. When leaving a tip for the receipt the lady was very weird about me signing it. I attempted to pick the receipt up to look at it and she kept her hand pressed on it so she could watch me write the number for a tip. I tipped very well. As soon as I was done she took the paper and examined it and looked at me like I had not tipped enough. EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Even though I've had shiatsu many times, this still seems kind of amazing: "how did he know what hurt without my telling him?" For those who have only had traditional massage, Shiatsu is different: I wear yoga clothes or light garments and the kneading, stretching, tapping, and soothing are done without oil. Ramon has a wonderful energy, that is friendly, relaxed, and peaceful. Even if I enter the studio wound-up or tense, once there, I immediately start to feel calmer and the brain static drops away. Sietske was great. My husband had a deep tissue and it was so good he fell asleep several times during his service. I wish they had more than one massage therapist on at a time bc it would have been nice for us both to get them done at the same time but it is a small place so I get it. If we're in the area we'd absolutely come back for another massage and I think I'd trust them with my hair too. I overheard some hair stylist conversation and I didn't get her name but she seemed to know what she was doing!
