I've been to this place several times and always had a pretty good experience. Today, however, I had a seaweed facial with Elena and WOW! I left the place totally relaxed and glowing. Let me start off by saying that my preferred treatment is massage but boy am I glad I finally decided to try their facial and Elena took it to the next level. She is very knowledgeable, gives you a quick overview of what to expect during the session, provides information about the products being used, and truly has the magic touch when it comes to skin care. The place itself is clean but nothing super fancy. Again, set your expectations accordingly. It is a chain and not your Ritz Carlton or Shangri La spa but you're also getting a much better deal here price-wise as some of those places will charge double if not triple for the same service due to all the bells and whistles you're getting. I think it's a steal with the quality of facial you're getting from a professional such as Elena! They also offer great membership options if you like having a consistent monthly service done. This membership becomes a pitfall, unless you have a regularly scheduled appointment. I have been almost 5 years now, I have a hard time getting more than a 60 min appointment. I find the actual hands on time is cut short by their 10 min before and after requirements. That time should be cushioned at there end not the customer. I have never had a bad massage. the last 3 times in the front desk never has change to be made from any size bill causing either a shorted tip or an extended tip this is unacceptable, so be sure if leaving a cash tip you go in with exactly what you plan to tip. I have a couple/ family membership with excessive hours I travel often so I like to put the membership on hold which is a nice perk as you hold you time and only pay $5 a month. I asked to get gift cards to some of my time incase I find a location traveling, I was told I could only get 1 in just my name could not be used by my spouse who is the other half of the couple membership? Seems odd not sure this is accurate as lots of staff changing at my location. I also don't understand why there is a $20 charge if I'm gifting to my daughter and am also present, it states couple/ family? My regular therapist, who is amazing, was on vacation and I got booked with Acelia. NEVER AGAIN! She did not honor my request on specific body areas to focus on and/or avoid and when I reminded her, she got irritated. It was as if she had one style and unable to deviate to personalize my massage and it was a waste of time & $. She also used a ridiculous amount of massage oil and I left feeling like a grease pit. She is not friendly and did not even say thank you when I handed her a tip. I have been going to Massage Luxe for close to a year now and in the last 6 months have found a great massage therapist - Linda Stoyer. I usually get a massage every other week and my body tells me when I have skipped a session. She is an incredible masseuse and I would highly reccomendher if you already get a massage from someone else regularly or want to try one for the first time. I'm glad I treat myself to a masssage. I didn't realize I was paying for two massages a month (6 mo. in FL then put it on hold for $5 while North), anyway have a 20 hour credit, got that knocked down to paying just $50 a month but they only let you "gift" one massage every 6 mo. For the manicure she informed me that if I didn't do Gel the paint was going to come off the next day. She was right. It did come off the next day. They should use a better quality paint. I used the restroom, vents were very dusty and light switch was broken. I was escorted into the room. The masseuse was unkempt. I was booked for a deep tissue, which I did not receive. Her hands smelled like she had been smoking cigarettes. There was no soothing music or sounds on, only the music piping in from other areas. There were water marks on the ceiling and that vent was also dirty. When I checked out, the front desk had no money to give change so I could leave a cash tip. Will not return. You can get some decent add-on treatments if that is your jam; and if you need to bring some regularly scheduled zen into your life on a (relative) budget, the monthly membership or family membership -combined with the gift card specials - you can get in and out without breaking the bank. The staff has always been very friendly, the location clean and the hydromassage bed (free for members) adds just the right amount of extra. We love their handmade soaps too - I buy a few every time I go. This location can get busy - call a few days ahead in winter, in summer you can usually get in same day, but either way - their sister location RIGHT over the College Ave bridge to the Cape can usually squeeze you in when these guys are booked. read more

The massage was ok. And I'm not a connoisseur. I get a massage, maybe once a year. It was maybe supposed to be "invigorating " but really it felt hurried which kind of stressed me out. The facial was pretty good, but I had never had one to compare it to. But then I went to check out and tip: I had come in with a gift card so it took me a minute to figure out what to tip - and then I was told I was given a $44 dollar facial treatment that I hadn't been told had a cost attached !?!? At some point, the woman who did my facial said something like "I'm going to do the seaweed treatment now, ok?" But never mentioned that it was a $44 seaweed treatment!!! I felt tricked. And I paid (!!) because I was kind of sleepy and peaceful from the massage and the facial. If I had been fully present, I would have talked to a manager, but I didn't. I'm sorry now. Very rarely do I have a poor massage experience. This was one of those times. For one, I had an hour massage. I didnt see my masseuse until 310, and then I got out at 355. Im no maths major, but I believe thats 45 minutes, and 45 minutes does not equal one hour. I judge my massages based on how I feel after. I like deep tissue, the more discomfort the better. I had this deep tissue at the GCTC massage place, I was fine for a month. Here, I felt no change, if not worse. My back is still sore. On vacation thought I would get a massage which I rarely do. Made an appointment via phone for a Swedish massage with the hot stone add on. Came in and was assigned to whomever was available and to my luck was someone who didn't speak English. After calling my "Cook" multiples in the waiting room and no one responded I assumed it was me. So I shake it off and move back to the excitement of getting a massage. Once I get into the room I explained I was going to use handphones which she didn't understand and tried to change the music in the room. Once I pointed to my headphones we were on our way. Aside from a few times when she tried to communicate something during the massage was ok, good I would say for the price. At one point she asked if I wanted water which seemed odd in the middle ...after I laid there for five minutes I assumed maybe it was over?! Except I hadn't got my hot stone thing which I was really looking forward to since I haven't had that before and specifically asked for it when I made the appointment and at the desk when I checked in. When I came out the cashier asked me how it went and I was honest with her. She apologized and another woman maybe a manager came over to interact. All the offered me was to come in again for an additional appointment with someone else. At first I was thinking it was a good think until they said "at the introductory rate?!" So if a customer has a bad experience let's upsell another visit? Seems wrong. At least offer a discount when I decline to return for another paid appointment. read more

The women at the front desk were so kind. One in particular went above and beyond multiple times to help us. She was great. My massage was awesome, but not a full hour, which is what we paid for. My masseuse (I believe his name was Jess?) was very thorough and the perfect pressure. My husband also had an hour massage. He says she was very abrupt with him, and seemed to just want to get it over with. He has been having pain in his thighs, and he asked her to focus there, and she barely even touched them. She really rushed through the entire thing to get it done. Overall, this is a very nice place, with a great atmosphere. I have read the other reviews and I have nothing but praise for the front desk staff. However, I see a consistent pattern with masseuses ignoring requests and the timing being cut short. This is clearly a continuous issue that they should focus on improving. I would recommend the place if you're not so worried about getting the full hour, and I would recommend the male masseuse over the female! read more

I currently go to another spa and was highly considering changing to this location if the massage was good which I indicated to the girl who was booking my massage. The receptionist booked my massage and asked what pressure, I said definitely deep tissue, I have chronic back pain and use massages for relief. She assured me she was booking a deep tissue massage for the following evening and to my surprise, that is not what I received. Yes my massage was booked as deep tissue and yes that is what I requested but the massage therapist I was booked with gave me a Swedish massage. When I expressed my frustration with the front staff, they said "oh she specializes in Swedish" and "next time you should book with Linda she specializes in deep". While all of that is great information, it's information that should've been already taken into account since I asked for a deep tissue massage. The front staff then said to each other " oh do you see who booked it ", " better make note of that" and yet still did nothing about me being completely dissatisfied with my massage. It's been over 3 weeks since this occurred and the only time I've heard from MassageLuXe was from their automated system asking me every week to book with them. The manager never reached out to try and remedy the situation leaving me to give this spa 1/5 stars. read more

I always enjoy my time at Massage Luxe in Ft Myers. The staff is courteous and the therapists have always provided a professional and quality massage. This Luxe Massage, when they promoted their services, they were trying to be very nice and accommodated. However once you signed up as member, their service sucks. Service not up to an hour. They kept persuade you to pay additional for other treatment. They always persuade you to purchase their products which are expensive and not even work for what they said. They were dishonest when they tried to sell you the products, I was told since joining membership on that day, would get additional 15% off ....... Their manager so sneaky and rude, turned around charged me more money. Long story short, they are giving me the hard time to cancel my membership. Customer service here is awful. I have been a member for 15 months and I had gone in for one last massage before I cancelled my membership and had to speak to 3 different ladies to get this done. Not a single one of them informed me that I have to fill out a cancellation form; they simply told me it was "taken care of". My account was just charged a month later and I called them to get a refund and explain what had happened. The woman I spoke to was very short with me, non-apologetic, and refused a refund.
