I am 18 weeks pregnant and hadn't had a massage In about 4 months, I was so excited and looking forward to this. First off.. she put my face cradle straight into a pillow so there was no face hole or available air to breathe. I had to keep lifting my head to get oxygen. I had also told her to please give some focus on my hands and feet, my hands were not touched and she only massaged my right leg and foot and totally ignored the right. This is where it gets good. Being 18 weeks (second trimester) I can't lay on my back. I figured someone who offers prenatal massage would understand that. She not only argued with me about it, but she didn't have anything in the room to lift me up at all. She kept trying to tell me I was perfectly safe to lay on my back and finally offered me a neck pillow. This is the point I wish I would have just walked right out. Eventually I came up with a solution (that wasn't even comfy for me) just to get the massage on track. I did pay her for this service and it didn't sit well with me at all. They were decent and a (seemingly) cheaper option, however, with enhancements, it was essentially the same price as one here, but for only a 30-minute appointment. It wasn't until I worked with Mallory that I truly remembered what "a real" facial was like. I will 100% be continuing with Mallory and in the event I cannot find a masseuse I do enjoy, I will simply just use this membership for monthly facials (which was something I honestly considered from the start since I love my masseuse at Five Wellbeing Spa).

The dry brushing was so light that it barely touched my skin, so there was little to no exfoliation. The draping also made the experience awkward. When I turned over, the therapist held the blankets so tightly over me that it was difficult and uncomfortable to move beneath them. Finally, the towels smelled unclean, as though they hadn't been properly sanitized, which detracted from the spa experience. While I appreciated the kindness of both Celis and the manager, I still spent nearly two hours there and left disappointed because the service did not match what I had booked.
