But if you want your lawn to survive and thrive, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! (if you have any recommendations, please let me know.) We started our lawn care journey with Massey back in August. I just installed the lawn and wanted to give her the best. Unfortunately, Massey killed that dream and every month I was told to wait for the magic to happen. Then after the freeze, I was told that it was the freeze that killed my lawn... but no my lawn was screwed from the day. I signed the agreement.. And as for that "Satisfaction or your money back guarantee," well, if you're not satisfied, they just tell you to wait another month so that you're outside of your "satisfaction or your money back guarantee." And if you called the office, they immediately put you on hold and keep you there long enough to get you to hang up and forget to call for another week. Look, if you enjoy wasting your money and being treated like crap, like I said this is the place for you. Some people even enjoy poor Customer Service so that they can be a Karen. I don't. I don't wanna be a Karen, but this place pulled her out of me. I am reporting this place to BBB and I will be installing a new lawn again. Thank you Massey for showing me that a guarantee is worthless and Yelp reviews can be trusted. As far as I am concerned you deserve NO STARS. read more

My husband and I started using Massey services about a year ago for pest and lawn maintenance. We were having issues in our backyard with grass growing in a high traffic area and have been consulting with them for awhile about this. My husband spoke with one of the managers for awhile about our issue and devised a plan moving forward to determine how to ensure this improves. Over the course of 6 months, we had noticed that our grass was actually getting worse. He filed a complaint and the manager came back out to our house and took a pH test on our lawn. We never actually head about the results of this test nor did the manager contact us again about the plan moving forward. We pay $122 a month for their services and I kid you not, the tech was out at our property for no more than 10 minutes. I actually time stamped it. We have a rather large backyard, which you could not actually treat within that time frame. We are so unhappy and unsatisfied with their services that we decided to finally cancel. The only time our grass actually improved was when we took it into our own hands and fertilized it ourselves. read more

I own four homes and have always been very involved in lawn care, particularly in maintaining healthy grass and eliminating weeds. We used Massey's services in St. Cloud, Florida for three years--more than enough time to see improvement in both weed control and the health of my Bahia grass. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Our builder initially installed Bahia in poor condition, laying down scattered pieces instead of sod rolls, and compacting the soil. As expected, weeds quickly appeared. We hired Massey to correct the issue through fertilization, and weed treatment. We eventually changed to a monthly treatment schedule. Despite this, the lawn did not improve. In fact, we began to see more weeds, bare patches, and nutsedge taking over the Bahia grass. When Massey representative visited, they  asked what had happened to the grass and we said exactly! He offered no real solutions or expert advice. After 44 years of working with clients myself, I recognize when there are serious issues within a company's customer service and overall products. We gave Massey a fair opportunity with three years of service. Unfortunately, instead of results, we were left with a worse lawn than we started with--leaving us no choice but to move on to another lawn service provider. read more

There was a leak in the backflow pipe after the deep freeze in February. Massey Irrigation quoted $750 to replace the pipe and said it was a discounted price for customers. I now know that the Orange County Utilities Department would have replaced the pipe at no cost. The monthly utility bill includes a flat $3 cross connection control fee for that purpose. read more

Terrible service from Massey Services Winter Garden. Received a call from them in Feb about the service. They said I was scheduled for March. Now is April, haven't heard a thing from them. Wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business. They couldn't care less about their customers ! 4/11/25 - I heard from Massey. The lady that answered looked into my account and found out what happened. She had the lawn technician out the next day to service the lawn (thank you to her for taking ownership and getting someone to service the lawn). The regional manager called and said they are going to investigate why the issue happened in the first place. I believe him. Hopefully my lawn will get back to the state they use to keep it at. Techs came Saturday. Did not " look at the ticket". We have an organic yard. Before we could stop the two techs. They had our 3 lbs of granular pesticides and 1/2 gallon of spray pesticides in my yard. Are we have our rat Bait boxes, because we live on a green space, and Rats like to come inside our Attic. Incensed. I'm an RN. You Never just give random " drugs" to people. You check the orders!!. These two techs did this!! They did not check the ticket. I also called three different times trying to get to management who could promise me this would never happen again. I got to the office manager, but I could not get to the tech managers or the field managers. They did return my call but at odd times of the day, where I was in meetings. So we never connected. RUN, do not walk, AWAY Massey! If I could give this zero stars I would . We WERE Massey customers for many years, but we've noticed a steep decline in service over the last 8 months. We have NO evidence (email notifications, door hanger, sign in yard) that pest control had been done since August. We paid the year in advance for pest control and irrigation. Around Halloween, the irrigation technician noted 3 repairs that needed to be made, he couldn't make them that day but told us a repair tech would be out the following week. Two weeks went by and I called. No record, so they send another tech out who quoted $94 and the repair would be made the first week of December. I called the end of the second week, I was given multiple excuses and told a third technician would have to come out. The $94 repair suddenly turned into $154. Repair would be made the first or second week of January. I called the second week to be told it would be the 22nd. My requests to speak to a manager were ignored. On 1/22 I stayed home from work and called only to be told we'd been scheduled for the 24th. On 1/24 I called for an ETA multiple times, none of my calls were returned, though I was assured we were on the schedule. The technician never showed. I have since cancelled my service with Massey (and we've gone with another company). Within 20 minutes of cancelling, lo and behold! The manager called and acted like there was no issue. Now the general manager is ignoring me, so a small claims suit to get our money back is likely forthcoming. read more

After watching the termite inspector doing his "thorough" annual inspection of our home in under 16 minutes (according to the camera, between the time he rang doorbell to walking out the front door), I contacted Massey to educate myself on what was conducted during the annual inspection. Maybe it's part of the sales pitch to get the contract, but I was told the renewal price and amount of time the inspection takes, is based on the size of the home, and they inspect everything, outside and inside, to include the joist space between the 2nd floor and roof. For the previous two years that I could remember, no one has ever had a ladder or looked in the attic space and the house inspection was completed in about 15 minutes. The General Manger Thomas said based on the size of our home (3900 sq/ft) this should have taken closer to an hour. I asked for someone else to come out and redo the inspection. I also requested an adjustment on the bill since complete service was not provide for at least the last two years. Since I already paid for the year in advance I was told he would make an adjustment on the following year's bill. After a year went by, all Massey is willing to do was basically take $20 off the bill. I was told corporate would not authorize anything more. I notice on most of their customer review responses, Massey's replies to the post say "thanks for making us aware," "we apologize," and "we will bring it to corporates attention for a thorough review." I wonder how many times technicians just go through the motions? But I guess they got paid, so that's what matters; not that they actually provided the quality service they guaranteed. Their website promises "peace of mind," this is not a good way to inspire confidence and earn the trust of your customers. read more

Massey sends out a slick salesman to make you think that you're in good hands. I assure you, you are not. For the first visit which is usually very extensive. They brought out a truck with a long hose to spray whatever chemicals they are using for that initial visit. First of all I have a long backyard so I know they can't even reach all of it. But you know what's even better? I checked my cameras and they treated my neighbors lawn by mistake. But they must have realized it at the end and placed their sign in front of my yard. Lol. Each time they came out I would watch the cameras after the fact. Massey would send me some garbage report/email about how they inspected my plants and treated them with so and so chemical/fertilizer. In reality it was some guy walking around throwing stuff haphazardly without a care in the world. Even though I had major reservations from the beginning I wanted to give them a chance. After about 3 months with zero improvement I decided enough is enough. One thing that especially upset me is that I know which weeds can be treated in your yard and which ones you can't. I was having major issues with treatable weeds! So I call AND email Massey and cancel my service. And I confirmed with the office manager the next morning. Later that day I notice a Massey sign in my yard. I watch my cameras and they were on my property for 12 minutes. Boom! A $298 bill lol. What's really messed up is that they walked over to my other neighbors property and spent roughly 3 minutes and then put a sign on their property too (they do have a Massey contract). After receiving the bill I called Massey and asked them to remove it. Massey said on the contract I have to give them 30 days notice. So let me get this straight... I'm unhappy with your company but if I cancel you can come out to my property as many times as you see fit and continue to bill me within the next 30 days? Nothing but a complete nightmare with Massey lawn care! Shoddy workmanship and being billed for services that weren't done and the only reason I knew of this was my security camera caught the tech only doing the front yard and leaving the back yard undone and then Massey places a work order on my door saying that the work is complete! If you must use Massey make sure you are there at the day of your services! I have written to local managers and senior management but nothing changes. I'm looking for my prepaid 12 months to be over so that I can get a company that truly cares about their customers! read more

Massey Services has taken care of my lawn and irrigation needs for several years. They are always professional in alerting me and taking care on any problems that pop up. Most recently, they promptly repaired an irrigation issue that saved me over $500. I am a distant landlord who needs a dependable company to handle my landscaping needs. If I can give out no star I will. This damn company keep charge you don't have out the service. We ask to signature request every time after services. But no one ask come to service. No one ask to sign. No one care. ( any any time call in customer service, Manager never in. Never return phone call.) Just sent you bill every month. And cancel service. Beware of what you sign. Massey says they guarantee your grass replacement which is a total lie!! I had new sod laid down and hired Massey a week after. They began treating it. Several months later I noticed my grass was dry, patchy and dying. A district manager came out to review after several other employees had come out to evaluate from the office in Kissimmee, Fl on Michigan Ave. The district manager agreed that they had tried everything they had to get my grass back to what it was and agreed to replace it. About 1 hr later I get a call saying that they will not be replacing my grass because it had died due to fungus and my contract doesn't cover fungus. This is not what they told me when I signed up. My receipt shows the date of when my new grass was installed and I have the receipt of when Massey started services. It's a disgrace that they would boldly lie to your face. They employees are trained to deceive, lie to its customers. Now 2 months later they are still charging me, my grass is dead!! And my HOA is after me to replace my grass. Massey are crooks!! Find ourselves a repudiable company. And save yourself the hassle. I started telling all my neighbors in my community to reconsider there choice of company and cancel service. read more

Been a member for 3 years and have had trouble getting response from them on issues of dying grass and bushes. At renewal, we advised them our concern of renewing based on their lack of response and communications with us in past. They promised they would do something to address our problem so we renewed. However, after 6 calls they still have not done what they said....replace our dead bushes and evaluate our grass dying. They make appointments, then don't keep, or don't communicate back when they have visited, and keep making excuses of why they have not replace bushes. It has now been 3 months and still have had no results. We're at point noew that we may be giving notice and terminate our contract. We are returning customers from our last residence in Florida 18 years ago; guess that was a mistake thinking they are as good as they were then. read more
