Pork fried dumplings with that ginger sauce
    Jeremy E.

It was a quaint restaurant with a very casual relaxed atmosphere. The sushi was excellent and the fish was very fresh. The service was great, except our server was vaping in the restaurant. The Korean fried Chicken wasn't authentic but, still tasty. The pork dumplings was probably the best dish of the night. The miso soup too. Recommend but, have had better...

    Tonkotsu Ramen

Food and service were excellent. Ramen tonkotsu was delicious. We had an order of shumai, edamame and bolgogi tacos. Everything was delicious. Excellent service. It was quiet as we were the only table at noon Sunday for lunch but I would definitely go

    Kani Salad

Kani salad was phenomenal, bulkier and more filling than most Kani salads which usually just consist of Kani and spicy mayo. Service was good, inside was quaint

Absolutely delicious sushi!! Had several different rolls recently and they're all delicious. The fish on the rainbow roll was perfectly fresh! And the hibachi noodles were soo good!

Off the chain! I lived in Japan for three years and visited Korea in multiple occasion. This place is hands down the best ramen I've had outside of Japan. The sushi is amazing too. You'll be hard pressed to find anything better in the continental US. And it's in tiny little South Hadley MA. What a hidden little gem! Stop what you're doing and go eat there now...

    (Half eaten Tuna Bliss Roll)

Have ordered take out from here before but opted to dine in this time. Sat at the bar overlooking the sushi chefs. What an incredible experience! Despite the chefs having orders come in nonstop, they talked with us throughout the meal and shared some of the insight and history behind some items on the menu. The food was incredible, but the staff is what really made the experience special. Fully recommend!!

Just happened to be in the area and was craving sushi and ramen. I didn't think there would be any in the area, but to my pleasant surprise..I came across Master Chef on Yelp. The service was amazing. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I tried the fish tacos (on the specials menu), spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy yellowtail roll, and the miso ramen. The fish tacos were cooked to perfection. The fish was crispy and flaky. The soft tortilla was toasted and it included the perfect drizzle of spicy mayo and a lime on the side. The maki rolls had a good rice to seafood ratio and were very fresh. The miso ramen tasted as expected, but had more noodles than soup. Overall, my experience was very good and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Ordered takeout, the sushi was great. Next time plan on trying the spicy seafood Ramon. My daughter enjoyed her sushi as well.

I really enjoyed the half soft-boiled egg in the shio ramen as well as the enormous quantity of noodles, but there wasn't a ton of flavor in the dish. The chicken hibachi had great sauce and decent noodles, but the meat was dry and felt overcooked. The caterpillar roll surprised me since it was tuna-based, rather than the eel that is typical for that name. None of the dishes stood out as exceptional. The service was quite interesting. I did appreciate the water service - the server came around early on yo offer refills. Then about midway through the meal, she asked if we wanted leftovers boxed up. I wasn't too hungry so I was fine with take home the leftovers, although the timing felt a bit early to me. I couldn't tell if that was because it was just after 8 PM and they were trying to close up soon (advertised closing time of 8:30 PM), but there were still plenty of other tables with diners. The bill came with a mandatory 18% tip for our group of 5.

"Right before my very eyes Baby what a big surprise"…read more(Chicago) When was the last time, you were enjoying a gorgeous looking dish of Vegetable Tempura and realized OMG, I just chomped down on something crazy spicy? Well, that's what happens when you bite into an unadvertised half of a jalapeno pepper when the menu promises sweet potato, onion, and broccoli. Now look, as the late Sly Stone sang, "Different strokes for different folks", meaning that we all have different tolerances for spiciness. I was OK with that blazing piece of green, that for all purposes looked like a slice of Bell Pepper, but it set off fire alarms for my wife, who flat out couldn't eat it. Putting all that aside, we had a very enjoyable dinner. We got a lucky parking spot in a small lot right across the street and were seated without a reservation, which was also kind of lucky because Kisara doesn't have a lot of seating - I counted 8 tables (some for 4 and a few for 2) and nine seats at the bar. Our dinner ran a shade under $42 with tax for a 12-ounce bottle of Sapporo beer, the aforementioned Vegetable Tempura appetizer ($10), an Octopus Sushi appetizer (three pieces for $5.75, and two nice salads - an Avocado Salad ($7.25) and Teriyaki Chicken ($11.50). As you can see, Kisara's pricing is pretty good. The Tempura (save for the unexpected and unadvertised jalapeno halves) was very good - a generous serving of hot, crispy and oil free sweet potato planks, broccoli florets, and onion rings. My octopus sushi was pretty good. The pieces were large and presented beautifully. Maybe a minor quibble would be the chewiness factor of the octopus. The salads were very pretty - an attractive presentation of mixed greens, lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and a ginger dressing. My wife's salad had seven avocado slices and mine had ten chunks of teriyaki sauce glazed chicken chunks. Maybe another minor quibble would be the chewiness of the chicken, they were definitely overcooked. Positives Their menu is fantastic. Service was fine and included a few check-backs which are always appreciated Negatives There is no public WIFI - when I saw a Kisara network pop up, I asked for the password and was told "that's only for the manager". They don't really have a website, but you can somewhat see one via an ordering platform off their Facebook page. Conclusion For walking in off the street without a reservation, overall, we had a very nice dinner.

I got the Cannon ball roll which had shrimp tempura, a garlic aioli, and topped with a nice chunk of beautifully seared steak. I loved that roll - super delish! For $20 it was kinda steep so it definitely helps that the roll was tasty. I also got a salmon skin roll which had crushed up salmon skin in the roll... unique as I'm used to a rolled up fried salmon skin. My fiancé got the Mt Holyoke roll and enjoyed it as well. The specialty rolls were definitely massive. My only disappointment was the duck bao, which had shredded duck in five spice. I was hoping for the more traditional peking duck style bao. My bao also had some furry bits stuck to the end, not sure if it was lint from somewhere but it looked like dog hair. It was pretty baked into there. I didn't mind too much I just ripped that piece off. Too hungry to care, but that knocked a star off the review. Would potentially try the ramen if we come back.

The price for the all you can eat Japanese BBQ is certainly in my books worth it. Both times, we have left feeling so stuffed but so happy from the food. Within both times going, I think we've tried nearly everything on the menu. The yuzu pork belly, chicken fried rice, oyster mushrooms, and spicy miso chicken are some of our favorites. The only thing missing (I think) would be a nice cocktail to go with the food. Supposedly they are receiving their liquor license within the next few weeks so we will have to go back for that to try some drinks. The decor is pretty standard for a Japanese restaurant, though some of their neon signs are absolutely adorable. The food delivery is real cute, the food comes in this cool box delivered to your table.
