It had been 9 years since my last New Car purchase experience. This month izI was again in the market for a new ride. Did research and made some visits to several Aiken dealerships. Had it down to 3 vehicles as top choices. The salesmanship at dealerships could not have been more different. One dealership insulted me with trade in offer and the vehicle had over $2K of what is now called Dealer Oprions. If you buy a new car and the factory paint job needs a $2K paint protection and interior protection it must be a lousy paint job. One other dealer didn't have model I wanted but seem to think I could be reasoned into buying a vehicle i I didn't want. BUT, upon my arrival I val at Masters Autimotive Aiken, I was met by a young, very professional salesman. Brandon was his name and I could tell he knew I was on a Recon mission. No pressure. I never felt like a kitten about to be carried off by a hungry hawk. Couple phone calls later and approval from wife I walked in and Brandin had a simple offer document prepared. Very generous trade in allowance for my low mileage, well cared for car. Rest of details in plain sight and really no need for "The Dance" of let me talk to my manager BS. Brandon worked up final deal with extended warranty and I felt relief. So we are the new owner if a Equinox ACTIV. My history with this dealership tells me I will relieve good service post sale. Would not recommend to anyone! This is the slowest dealership/auto shop I've ever came across. They take days to diagnose what's wrong with your vehicle then take even longer fixing the issue. They DO NOT value appointment times. I dropped my car off the night before like advised for a 9:45am appointment the following day. When I called to check the status of the vehicle around 1:30pm (they don't even update you on what's going on) MY CAR STILL HADN'T been worked on!!! The sales manager or whoever is named Travis explained rudely that appointments don't matter when other vehicles pull up like what type of place does business like that. He also got real nasty when I wanted an explanation on when will my car be ready. Long story short it took them 3 days for a simple fix. I would highly recommend Master Chevrolet and Travis White. Both were very professional, and Travis made the process seamless. I drove the car on Thursday, provided all my information on Thursday and Friday and Friday evening I picked up the car. The service department is not honest. I went for a $90 oil change. They called me and said I needed a filter replaced for $60. Not to mention, every time I go there, they always find something that needs replacing. My total was $200. They said labor was not included in the original price but never disclosed to me that labor was going to be $50 extra!! I have never paid for labor for an oil change. Micheal and Amber were the associates I delt with. Neither one of them were professional or understanding as to why I was upset that my total was much more than anticipated. Brought Tahoe in for regular oil change and to seal a nail hole in middle of tire tread. Appt was for 1:15. Arrived at 1:10 there was a sign to drive around to otherside. The garage door was shutnon the side too and door was locked. So one of the service techs opened the garage door. Was told would take 45 min, ended up 1.5 hours, no big deal had left and came back. Was told by employee that when the technician removed the tire, couldn't patch the hole, since they only patch and not seal and recommended buying a new tire. I said no. He recommended taking to a tire store to repair. So the next day I did take to Costco, but the wheel lock key was no where to be found. So I called Master Chevrolet from my cell phone. The wheel lock key was not put back and Master claimed they didn't have it and then denied taking tire off. I was stuck at Costco store asking the Master Chevrolet on my cell phone what I can do now. The Master Chevrolet service manager then suggested I take a hammer to remove wheel locks so tire could be fixed. What!?!?! I asked if he was serious and he said that's what he did to his vehicle. Not satisfied with his solution, and blatant lies, we contacted 3 other dealers and they all the the same thing. You can order new wheel key lock specific to your vehicle. Now I put to you why wouldn't THAT be the 1st suggestion by a SERVICE MANAGER?? It's because to take advantage so I'd buy a new tire. I will NEVER be back to your dealership, service department or otherwise. We have several military friends and family in the community that have been made aware of the gross negligence and horrible customer service from this dealership. The jury is still out on this place. Check engine light was on... It's a loose hose, we'll put a new one on and you're good to go. New hose installed. Paid the invoice. Three days later, CEL back on. Set an appointment to return. Smoked the system and found a leak in a solenoid. Replaced the solenoid, paid the invoice (minus the fees of the 1st visit) and went on my way. 2 days later (today), CEL back on! Stay tuned. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, my brother brought in his wife's car for diagnostics. They told him he needed 2 sensors, well they wanted to charge a crazy amount to replace them, like 1,000$ crazy sensors only costed $130 for both Went and bought the sensors and put them on, not the problem. So at this point he is 300$ in parts and diagnosing. Well he took it to a transmission shop, yes a transmission shop. They diagnosed for free and they told him the exact problem. The resonator was busted up and causing the car to bog. Had it fixed that afternoon. This place is a absolute joke and I will never recommend these people. Absolutely crooks and for everyone's Info I was there through the whole process and helped put the sensors on so this review isn't based on just word of mouth. Most dealership will have a sales group a maintenance group that act like they do not belong to the same dealership unless you are buying any extended warranty. I absolutely loathe car dealerships, but over the past couple of months I've needed to go to one. I bought a truck in November and the process was completely painless, and the service was great. I was able to get exactly what I wanted for cheaper then I thought. Fast forward a couple of months and my wife and I decided that she needed something different. I was able to find a newer vehicle then what she had with a much much better extended warranty. There were a couple complications but the staff dang near bent over backwards to get everything fixed. I am totally disappointed in my 4 day wait on my work truck, all 4 items/ indicator lights, were still on when I picked it up, while waiting on an additional $400.00 part that I wasn't aware of, while sitting at the shop, even a 6 yr. recall didn't get done in 4 days, it has to go back again! The fender wells wasn't put back in place,and the controller I have plugged in harness was still plugged in, did the mechanic do a diagnostic or not? also the representative tells me if I stop the payment they want be able to work on my truck anymore, the work I took to them wasn't done , who cares. read more

I have been a customer for Chevy of Aiken for 15 years bought a Kia Forte that lasted a really long time had the normal wear and tear over the years it was used when I bought it but I had no complaints. we also bought a Pontiac Vibe that was a good car no complaints. in December of 2021 I bought a Chevy Equinox in August of 2022 it started having issues it needed new tires whole set, it needed a new battery, it needed front brakes, the 2010 to 2017 Equinox have oil consumption problems. which they should know about because there was 2 bulletins issued about them. In November I called them and they said come in we will see what we can do for you, the only thing they did for me was give me a runaround and said they wouldn't buy a battery cuz it had been a year which it was a month away from being a year and was going to do something about a recall on a windshield wiper that's it that's all they're going to do for me. they didn't even do a diagnostic to see what was going on. Then in January I tried three times to call up there to talk to the sales manager and he was gone, finally talked to the general manager and I said I wanted to try to trade the vehicle so I went in to trade the vehicle and there was nothing they would do for me. I'm very disappointed cuz I really liked going to them and thought highly of them and even recommended other people to them but I won't do that no more read more

This is the worst dealership I have ever i ever felt with in the USA. The service department inadequate there is little to no communication I had brought my truck in under warranty and was told to bring it back then we will order a part , then it was we have to call a glass company. Kept my vehicle for a week did not call me with the estimates and no authorization to fix this issue which I had been asking it to be fixed since I had been going there since February 2020. The service advisor put no notes in the computer ever about two different issues with the truck. I show up to a $586.00 bill on a repair that was never explained to me or gone over with me in detail before they fixed the issue. They held my vehicle ransom till I paid them. The GM accepted no responsibility and the owner said " I did not sell you the truck so I don't care ". Filing a legal case against them today. The other issues were not fixed either. Made a 2 pm appointment for a part instillation and oil change. After an hour I was told that my car was done, I asked about my oil change and I was then informed they never did one and that he would write a ticket up for it. After waiting over two more hours I asked about my car and was told it would still be about another thirty minutes. I waited three hours for an oil change after already waiting an hour for a part to be installed into my car. Absolutely nothing was done for the inconvenience and my car clearly was not put on priority after they ignored the request for an oil change I had made during my call for scheduling the appointment. One person In that three hours offered to go check on my car since he noticed I had spent my entire afternoon here for an oil change. read more

Update: Master called me about my previous issue and worked with me to ensure they kept my business. I've had to bring my vehicle in more than one within a week to fix the same problem and have gotten charged twice for it. I could be more understanding if I was charged more the first time and had it fixed properly. I set aside money to fix the issue, and when I thought the problem was taken care of I used those funds for something else. Because I had to bring my vehicle back in I had to go in the hole to find the repairs. That is poor business on your part. read more

I received a field service action notice in the mail. The issue described in the notice seemed to be happening with my vehicle, so I took it into Master Chevrolet in Aiken, SC. We were told by the service center employee (maybe a manager) that he could tell us quickly if our problem fell under the coverage of the notice, but that if he did the diagnostic and we didn't have the problem that was covered under the field service action, then we would have to pay the fee for the test. We agreed since we were fairly certain that we had the described issue, which we did. While they have the vehicle in the shop, I received a call saying there was also some other problem that was going to cost almost $1000 to fix. After looking into the repairs proposed, I said to only address the field service issues, as that was the reason I took it to Master Chevrolet in the first place. Vaughn said no problem. When I picked up my vehicle, they said I owed $167 for the diagnostic. I told them that Vaughn had specifically told me that that fee would only apply if we didn't have the issue pertaining to the notice, which we did. Vaughn then proceeded to loudly tell me that he didn't care what I said, I wouldn't get my keys until I paid it. I was angry, but said fine I would pay it but that I would be reporting him and the issue. As I'm reaching to grab my card he slammed my key on the counter and yelled just take it and don't come back. 10 minutes later I got a phone call from the owner who proceeded to attack me for using curse words at his employee. I told him exactly what happened and he just kept screaming about me getting angry and me "not knowing who HE was". He actually said "Hey lady, don't you know who I am?!?" So I hung up. HORRIBLE experience! I made the mistake of trading my Infiniti G35 in for a Cadillac SRX. When I drove the car off the lot, I realized the headlight didn't work AT ALL. I took it back for them to replace and got my car back a week later. Once I got the car back I realized that not only were the headlights not right, but I was having other issues. Trying to get the sales guy to answer or call us back was a headache. Trying to get accurate information out of him was even worse. Long story short, I have now had the SRX for about 3 months, it has been in the shop twice and it's still not fixed! I WILL NEVER do business with the dealership. When my son, aunt & I hit the ground at this dealership God was with us. I saw this Black Chevrolet Truck on their website and we did not see it on the lot. The salesman Travis approached us and asked, "what we were looking for?" I showed him a screenshot that I had sent my son and another salesman said it was in the back coming from inspection. Purchased left over 2015 ESV, the sale went great. The car was brought to my home in FL and my trade picked up and taken back. They paid off my car fast and got me the paperwork that i needed to get my tag work done quickly. The problem's started with my trade in title and getting them a copy of the title. Florida titles are electronic and the dealer called me and asked me to get the title for them and they will take care of the cost for me. I did that considering its not my job to do so and sent them the bill. They sent me a check back for 1/10th of the cost and said that is what they are paying. So when dealing with this company please be careful and get it in writing. read more

I dropped my car off for service around 8 AM and returned around 5 PM for pickup. I did not depart the facility with my vehicle until almost 6PM. I do not understand why it took so long to perform a coolant flush, spark plug change, cabin and air filter and I still had to wait when I arrived. The vehicle was there for nearly 10 hours. I do not see the need to drop off a vehicle if I still have to wait until the close of business to pick up my vehicle. Additionally, as soon as I pulled off the lot, I heard a clicking noise when I turned on my Air conditioner. I immediately turned around and pointed this out to the service rep. He assured me the clicking noise would go away as this was a typical 'temporary' thing that happens when you have the coolant system serviced. I asked if I would hear the noise in a week and he said no. It has only been approximately 3 days and I still hear the noise but I will definitely take the car back this Friday if the clicking does not stop. I never had any issues with clicking noise prior to having my car serviced so I definitely want this issue resolved. read more

The first time I had an appointment for 10:00 and when I got there they told me it would be at a minimum at least a two hour wait before they could work on my car. The second time I was told to have my car there at 8:30 and after 3.5 hours they hadn't started on it yet. They said it was my fault because I didn't get the right guy at the service desk. They thought I was going to leave my car so they took later customers and moved them ahead of working on my car. An appointment means absolutely nothing to them and obviously I'll never do business with them again. read more
