The initial work was delayed once. No problem, that happens. On the day of the new date, I get a call the work will be delayed another week. That's garbage. You don't wait until the last minute to tell the customer of something like this. They knew days before. I lost confidence in any date they give me. I cannot recommend them. read more

I was referred to here by my insurance company to have some pretty basic body work done. My vehicle ran just fine, I have zero dashboard lights on, and it had been over a month since the accident in which caused me to need body work. They estimated about 2 weeks for parts and labor. When I picked my vehicle up from the shop I didn't make it 3 miles down the road until my car completely shut off on me, in the middle of the street. I didn't even have power steering. I had my car towed back to the shop, and was called the next day saying my car was ready that a ground connector wasn't re connected tightly. Again, I didn't even make it home driving my vehicle until it died on me, once again in the middle of the street leaving me stranded until the tow truck arrived. The next day I received a phone call from Kevin, stating my car was once again ready to be picked up. He said it was the same issue, a ground connector. This time my car made the trip home, I parked it in my unground parking spot. The next day I went out to get into my car and my lights, and radio would come on but the car wouldn't turn over. Once again my car had to be towed by Master Collision. At this point my frustration was rising and I demanded that my car be taken to another mechanic. Which it was, my car was at this other shop for approximately 10 days until this mechanic said he couldn't figure out the problem and it'd need to be towed to a dealership. Instead of towing it to a dealership, master collision towed the vehicle back to their shop. A few days later I got a call that there was a bad wire connection and it was now fixed. I dropped my car off on June 28th and did not get my vehicle back in working condition until August 8th. I would strongly recommend avoiding this shop for any reason! read more

Someone scratched my car on the back drivers side leaving a dent on the panel, called my insurance and they recommended me master collision. They fix my car and looks like nothing happened, very nice people, very responsive on the phone, very recommended. read more

*Avoid* I was in my first accident in late June, and really didn't know the ins and outs of what happens with insurance plus I was injured. I took the car to this site as it's close to my work and home- this proved to be a mistake. Kevin is hot and cold personality wise, but mostly he is very condescending and rude. I called to have my car looked at and was given a date 10 days later. Upon arrival none of the paperwork was ready, no one knew why I was there but Kevin made it seem like it was my fault...I was very direct on the phone when I called and she seemed to grasp my needs without an issue. Eventually my car was totaled and I had to pick up my belongings. Again I was treated like I was a burden and waste of time and he ranted about the things I had in the car, about my insurance company- if you value your self-worth and your time do not bring your car here. read more

Master Collision in South Minneapolis was unprofessional, uncommunicative and misleading. I was involved in a hit and run and took my car to master collision as instructed by my insurance company. I was told by my insurance company that I would get an estimate before work was done on my car. I dropped off the car on the morning of 4/19 and was told to sign a form so that they could take a look at my vehicle. The form did not contain an estimate or an amount that I would be responsible for paying. I did not receive a phone call or any updates from them and had to call them late in the day for an update. At which point they told me that the parts were already ordered and that I would not get my car back until Friday. I did not receive an estimate from anyone until 4/21 at which point the work on the car was already done and I was responsible for paying $1000. When I called Master Collision they said that their process was that they don't do estimates and that they just work on the vehicle and since I had already signed the work authorization and the job had been done that I was responsible for paying the repairs. Had I received the estimate beforehand or if the process was clearly explained I would have not authorized the repairs. I understand that I signed the authorization form and that is my fault for not reading the form carefully; However in any other situation in which you would receive a service you are told ahead of time what the cost is so that you can make an informed decision. I did not receive that. All I received was a half-hearted apology over the phone and when I picked up my car the person that I spoke to on the phone didn't even have the courtesy to apologize face to face. He stared at his computer an pretended to do work. This process was at best confusing and was not handled in a professional manner. Pros: The work took longer than quoted but the actual bodywork was completed in a precise Manner. Vehicle was cleaned thoroughly inside and out. Con: The lack of professionalism and customer service skills displayed by the receptionist (Lisa) was enough to lose any potential futre business of mine. After receiving clarification from the insurance agent regarding deductible information that was clearly spelled out in the work order, Lisa never acknowledged her mistake. She simply stated "you are good". I would expect this type of demeanor coming from an employee at a fast food chain, but not a reputable company as this. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I had a few of my windows shot out and doors dinged by a BB gun vandal, brought it here and they were great. Not only did they do a great job on the body work (can't even tell where the damage was), but they matched my tint when they installed the new glass. In addition, they washed my car, polished my wheels, and did an extensive detail on the inside of my car! The only bad thing about the experience was that they had trouble locating a specific piece of vent glass, so they ended up ordering it straight from BMW in Germany. BMW ended up sending the wrong piece, so the repair took longer than expected. Not their fault, so, five stars. read more

Worst car experience ever. Long story short.... My car was in an accident so I took it here. When I picked my car up within a few hours my car started smoking and I had to pull over and get it towed. Turns out they forgot to put oil in my car. So I had to have it towed back to them. I never got reimbursed for the tow* They said they would pay for my rental while they looked at the car again. But that never happened either. The customer service is horrible. The manager Tim only wanted to try to talk over me. A few weeks later and I still have lights on my dashboard that will not go away. Those lights were not on originally when I first took my car into them. Overall horrible experience read more

I received an invoice thoroughly stating what was done to my car. The whole process was easy, efficient, and I am very satisfied with the repairs to my car. This is my family's go-to place for car repair. Five children of our own plus several foster kids means many dents to be repaired over the years. I can't speak highly enough of Tim, who has taken care of many extra items for us. I've never gotten a bad repair from these guys. Enterprise Rent-a-Car next door means one stop for everything.
