I needed to get my Jeep engine rebuilt because of a known issue with 05 and 06 Jeep Wranglers with the 4.0L. I was referred here by Shawn over at 4 Wheel Parts and was not disappointed. They rebuilt my engine top to bottom and recommended a few other components should be replaced and a couple of added parts for protection. The best part I did have a few other issues none of their doing and they bent over backwards to try to help the best they could and genuinely did everything in their power to figure things out. I will highly recommend them because they truly care about their customers and their best interests. I would give them six stars or more if I could. Often times we have very simple needs and are predisposed to have a good experience doing business with someone. Sometimes this is not the case, and we challenge them. When I brought in a long-block for a complete rebuild, I did exactly that by asking for performance upgrades that required several aftermarket internal parts. For those of you familiar with engines, you know that this can sometimes be begging for trouble. This engine had nothing but trouble from the get go. Why the positive review you ask? Allow me to explain. EVERY manufacturing business faces challenges with defective parts or unforeseen build problems. It is when they happen that you find out what kind of people you are dealing with. Even though Master Cylinder Head Service was only the supplier of these parts, Nick still proactively made things right. I have been a business man for over two decades, and in my book, this is the mark of an honest and fair company. I would definitely recommend. A+ guys... Just wanted everyone to know that the engine I had MCHS rebuild BLEW UP within a month of use! Incredible! (See pics) As I stated above, my car was unusable due to other problems caused by MCHS. Because of all the time that went by before I was able to actually drive my car regularly, their verbal warranty had expired. Nick told BAR that the warranty was for 3 months; not the 6 months I heard. (My fault for not getting it in writing.). It cost me another $2,000 to have the engine - top and bottom - rebuilt by D&R Auto Repair. I would not recommend MCHS. read more

Raymond and Nick are good people. I recently had a complete rebuild of the top and bottom of my 1974 302 V8 from my old Econoline van. After the rebuild I should have replaced all the external parts, rebuilt the carb, etc. Instead, I slapped everything back on and hit the road. After 12,000 I had burnt my valves, and it ran poorly. After replacing everything outside the engine, we determined that one of many vacuum leaks must have been the cause. Exactly what it was is hard to say. Even though it wasn't the fault of Raymond or Nick, they rebuilt the top half again, with new valves, and did this FREE of charge, parts and labor. That's what I call standing behind your work! The shop rebuilt my engine and value seals leak, lifters adjustment too loose, wrong temperature sensor installed. All in all the engine runs poorly. I called the the shop and told them about my problems and they told me that even though the car only had 500 miles since the rebuild the time limit had expired and they were not responsible. read more

this place is a joke, let's start here. I dropped off my motor took them 7 months to rebuild it, I brought them my motor in Jan 2017. every month I would call them and they would tell me the same thing "it will be ready in 3 weeks" so they finally have it built by July, so I tow them my mustang to drop it in and get it running. so after waiting about 5 months I call them Jan 2018 to see where they at, they haven't started it yet once again they tell me it will be ready in 3 weeks, so I call them in March 2018, once again haven't started on it. they tell me they need $580 to rewire my car because the wiring is in the incorrect spot for my altinator, so I pay them. then around April 2018 they sent me a video of my car starting so I'm assuming my car is good to go. I tell them that I'm gonna have it towed to have disk brakes put on. so they tell me that they can do it, and to give them $1150 for parts so I do that. now jump ahead to Aug 2018, my wife goes to their shop and asks them what's going on with the conversion of my brakes, they tell her that they have the parts but they got the wrong parts. so she asks them can I see the parts. so nick "the owners son" goes in the shop and comes back out and says "oh my dad must have already sent them back" my wife tells me what happened so I decided to show up with a tow truck to take my car back. I towed it to my house started looking around under the hood and saw that they never rewired my motor like I paid for. so not only do they have my $1150 for my conversion kit but they also have my $580. so I called my bank "usaa" and reported what they did to me, my bank reimbursed me my money and took it back from master cylinder head. then Nick had the nerve to call my wife and start screaming and yelling at her. this shop is a ponzi scheme which is highly illegal. they will take your money to use it on other projects. do not give these people business. I went to Raymond and Nick on a recommendation for a full rebuild and machine work on my long block 427 for my 65 C10. I cannot express how happy I am with them! A yelp review doesn't do it justice. First of all, from the beginning, the communication from Nick regarding progress of the work and what was needed was excellent. They stripped, tore down, cleaned, machined and bored out, painted and rebuilt my long block. When I got the motor back exactly how I wanted it, it was quick, and extremely well put together! I put the basics back on the motor (intake manifold, water pump, carb, alternator, etc, etc) and put the motor back in the truck. This motor rocks! The job was so precise. No leaks/issues anywhere.... and it runs like a dream. Raymond and his son Nick do such an amazing job and are trustworthy! So much so that I chose to use them for additional work and I recommend all my friends to go there. Use them, you will not be disappointed! read more

This shop owner assaulted me. I am a shop and took a eninge in to get rebulit. I have been here before but this time was different. I was told by the son that works there that the engine would be done on Tuesday. I told him that I had a customer that was leaving town on Friday and we needed to have this done by Tuesday at the latest so I had time to put it in and everything. On Monday I called to find out what the status was and he told me that it wouldn't be ready till Wednesday morning. I was upset but said ok I understand. On Wednesday I called to make sure it was done and he said it wouldn't be ready till Thursday at 10am. So I call around 9am and it's not going to be ready till noon. So this time I show up at noon. Still not ready. So I ask when it's going to be ready and now the dad who is the owner says not for a couple of hours. At this point I'm pissed. So I said well what can you do to help me out since you have not kept your end of the deal. The dad gets pissed and tells me to get out of his shop. Tells me that he will have it ready on his time. He doesn't care about my business nor my customers. He yelled at me for about 15 mins till his son stepped in and said he would have it done in 45mins. I wouldn't trust the work and wouldn't trust that they will get it done on time. I will never bring anything here again. I would recommend that you take your machine work and money elsewhere. read more

Honest mechanics! So great to find Raymond and his son Nick. I had an oil leak and thought it was just the drain plug. Three other companies had told me it was the drain plug when I had the oil changed. Raymond put my car up on the lift and got me under it to show me the problem. No hassles about insurance won't allow you in the garage area like large dealerships. Raymond proved to me where the leaks were coming from and that there was nothing at all wrong with the drain plug. I had to have my water pump and timing chain cover gasket replaced. I had Raymond go ahead and replace the timing chain too. Before starting the work Raymond explain the quote for the work and all parts required in great detail.
