I brought my 2016 Mustang GT in to have a Roush super charger installed back in December 2022. Over all the experience seemed to go well I was quoted 5 days and it was done in 5 days give or take. However, eight months later out of nowhere my A/C stopped working. I took my car in to a dealer to have the A/C repaired and come to find out when the Super charger was installed the mounting bolts for the intercooler had been installed incorrectly. The placement of the bolt had worn a hole in the A/C condenser and caused all the freon to leak out. After a very expensive repair bill, I called JBA to request they stand behind their work and cover the damages. I provided pictures and statements from the ford mechanic, and was told it would have to be passed up to higher management. I was told they would give me a call back. I patiently waited for a return phone call that never came. I reached back out to remind them of the situation and again was told it would have to be addressed by upper management. After several unanswered emails and not returned phone calls, it is now December and I seriously doubt there will be any real resolution. Bottom line JBA has a quality control problem when you have mechanics that can't even follow the provided instructions for a super charger install. In my opinion even worse is their severe customer service problem when they cannot even return a phone call addressing a very clear error on their part. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

*edit* As you can see from their reply, they can't even acknowledge their own faults and be accountable. Continuing to cover up Austin's obvious lack of professionalism only makes you look worse. Can't get any more black and white than a text message proving it. What a joke haha.* I went to JBA for a 15 inch wheel conversion kit on my 2015 Hellcat which got successfully installed with a few hiccups along the way. This was expected being that they had never done this kit before. I had to take it upon myself to research and find parts that would work with this kit which I didn't mind too much but I had zero help on that end. One of the mechanics after installing admitted to accidentally putting a hole in the boot when installing the kit. The result of this slung grease all over the place. When I approached Austin Bittle about it he initially began to blame the after-market kit itself for this issue specifically. When a mechanic creates an issue, even if accidental which I understand, you would think the reaction would be to fix the issue they caused to begin with. The second issues started arising is when Austin's lack of professionalism and his immaturity as an employee became apparent. His attitude toward the situation was quite off-putting and it was a verbal battle just to get my car back into the shop to fix the issue that THEY caused. After getting my car into the shop and replacing the boot that they tore without discussing any sort of payment amount whatsoever, I show up and he has a bill for around $1300. They did have to disconnect the brake line but never elaborated at all about potential cost or anything of that sort. Austin assumes a lot. He began to describe how many hours it took in labor cost etc. after offering to cover the labor in a text message. His communication skills are obviously lacking. After trying to come to a conclusion on the bill he asked me, with an attitude, "So I am going to ask you one question....do you want us to work on your car ever again?", in a threatening tone which I found quite humorous like I need them or something. He does not know how to handle himself professionally. I even had to go get the serial number of my CV axle and take a picture myself, something a customer should not have to be doing. All in all, if you go here avoid Austin. Nothing bad to say about the mechanics themselves. They work hard and do a good job. Its the leadership that is the deficit. read more

Among the many reasons and why as an employee I'm sharing this review is while I was driving my wife's SUV to work a couple days ago, my right rear tire managed to pick up a bolt as I drove by new CHP construction near our shop. Frustrated and thinking what to do next I realized I have an excellent opportunity to experience first hand the JBA Meltdown tires experience. This review is long overdue. I made the hard decision of having a professional shop diagnose and rebuild my 409 Pontiac since I am someone that tries to do 95% of my own work. One of my biggest concerns was I needed to find a shop with an engine builder that would listen to me with an open mind since I do (with my master mechanic father and knowledgeable friends) my own work. That's exactly what I found with JBA. After building my engine with my father multiple times, JBA listened to what we have done, disassembled my engine with inspecting the parts, found a machining issue which was resolved and assembled it with only replacing the parts that needed replacing. The result was a 409 Pontiac with stock Pontiac cylinder heads produced a maximum of 362 Horsepower with 413 Ft./Lbs. of torque! Most important: The engine has 500 miles on it and I am enjoying it with my family! The main specialist I worked with was Scott, who was great! Scott would listen to me, hear me out and would call back when he said he would. Also, worked with Paul and Austin, which was a great experience. John built a wonderful engine. One of the best parts of this whole experience was my dad and I got to watch my engine run on the dyno with John! Plus, John is a fellow Pontiac enthusiast, is humble and down to earth. If you have never watched an engine, especially your engine run on a dyno, I recommend it when you get a chance! Quite an experience. Thieves, and knowledgeable. I took my fox to them for a misfire. they bypassed a few things and it still was running rough. they tried to sell me a 2600 dollar rewire. I ended up paying 1200 dollars for a misdiagnosis when another shop found it was just 2 wires swapped. Then when i fought it, they fought back! i didn't respond in time to inquiries from my credit card so i lost. I will NEVER go BACK. BEWARE! read more

JBA did an excellent job installing a 6.2L LS3 V8 CARB Certified engine into my 1984 Landcruiser. As with all custom installations, a few details needed to be worked out during the subsequent test drive phase of the project. They were very responsive addressing the few minor adjustments necessary. Their lead mechanic on the project even offered to accompany me to the referee at the California Air Resource Board (CARB). After a few adjustments, we passed California smog certification on the 2nd visit. The CARB referee was very impressed with the quality of the installation, as I am. This shop is staffed by a number of very qualified mechanics and car modification experts. They know what they are doing and are ready to help! read more

I didn't get any work done here, but the customer service was awful! Spoke to me as if I knew nothing about cars. They tried quoting me $840 for labor on a few component, saying it's a 6-7 hour job total. I asked how they figure that because from experience I know all of the components could be done in about 3-4 hours ! They continued arguing saying its much more complicated and takes more time, so I took my business elsewhere. I went to KAR automotive, where The customer service is much better and know his stangs! So good that I actually stayed the whole time just to talk while the installation was being done. The job took about 4 hours altogether without even using a lift only jack stands and that's with breaks in between! I spent only $300 for EXCELLENT service while these people tried changing almost triple what I paid! read more

Took my mustang in for an alignment. The cost was 50% more than quoted and they didn't call me before doing the work to say that it was going to cost more. I didn't say anything at the time because it took them at their word the work was needed. When I picked up the car the tech warned me that because I was using camber bolts on the front struts the alignment would probably not last very long. He went on to recommend an alternative to the camber bolts that would cost even more money. Well he was right that the alignment was likely to change, because shortly thereafter I discovered that the camber bolts and other strut bolts were loose. They were barely snugged beyond finger tight. I'm left wondering in if he accidentally left the bolts loose or if it was a scam to get me to come back for more work. Either way, I won't be going back to JBA. ------- Follow up to comments from JBA. The bolts were loose, both the upper aftermarket eccentric bolts and the lower factory bolts. I used the same type of eccentric bolts on my previous suspension setup on this car and he bolts did not loosen even after thousands of miles. My only guess is that the tech snugged the bolts enough to check the alignment, but then forgot to fully torque them before returning the car to me--a careless mistake that is totally unacceptable! read more
