I initially thought I needed new rotors, but Sam took the time to show me that the real issue was worn brake pads. Two other mechanics had told me the pads were fine, so I appreciated that he walked me through it and showed me exactly what he was seeing. He also helped diagnose an issue with my parking sensors, which had completely stopped working. Sam was able to track it down to a single faulty sensor that was throwing off the entire system, which likely saved me a significant amount compared to going to a dealership. While the car was there, he also replaced a fog lamp bulb that had burned out. Overall, Sam was straightforward, knowledgeable, and fair. Went to Sams shop today due to a light on my dash requiring brake fluid service and also do a free brake inspection. Got a quote on the brake fluid exchange in a pretty quick response. Was able to drop off the car the same day and pick it up. They were also nice to add on a full synthetic oil change in their schedule. Its nice to have an independent shop be open Saturday's because of working weekdays. They were able to give me a call and give me recommendations on what should be fixed. And they were able to show me the parts after changing them. Only took about two to three hours. The shop is conveniently near the trolley or buses so you can go into town or Santee for some shopping. Staff are Very nice and approachable. I think the value for what they did for me was great. I brought in my own parts and this shop installed them at my request AND finished the job faster than quoted. I had a tight schedule to work with since I had to pick up my kids in the afternoon. I have been looking for a solid realiabe mechanic for the past year. Recently I ended up with a crack in my exhaust manifold so I went on YELP looking for a mechanic. Sam was the 1st to response back and said bring it in tomorrow, Saturday and will take a look. So glad I did.. Amazing experience twice in one week. Had to drive to AZ and a couple days before the check engine light came on and diagnosed free of charge, discovered it was a purge valve, had it there in 15-20 minutes and fixed! He got me in immediately and was there probably an hour or just over for the whole process. Then the day before I was leaving my engine temp was fluctuating so took it back to Sam. Ended up my Water Pump was leaking from the seal and going out. He was able to get a hard to find water pump, thermostat, and belt that same day and had me ready for the road trip the following day. On the way out of town he asked me to stop in just for a quick check for any leaks before the long drive. Just got back and everything held up great! No issues at all! Great job Sam!!! Replaced my brakes and rotors on short notice and got it done quick and easy, and the price was the lowest around.

After calling multiple auto shops asking for a diagnosis check quote, Sami was the only one that said he would check the problem for free (everyone else $140). My car was overheating. I pulled up, him and his team popped the hood up and got to work immediately. Most places would have put my car aside then would inform me the problem 3 hrs later. Sam and his team took about 5 mins to diagnose and had my part ordered. They ended up finding additional issues (the root problem), they kept me informed the entire time. Sam was upfront about pricing and was fair. $288 out the door for 3 parts and 2 hrs of labor. Anywhere else would have been $400+ easy. I needed a brake fluid flush/exchange that my dealership advised me to get and they quoted me almost $200. I knew it would be cheaper elsewhere because my car was an older model and so I sent out some messages to difference car shops, and came across this already well reviewed of a place. The owner Sam was so responsive with the messages we had back and forth, and was able to set me up with an 8:30am Saturday morning slot, as I requested. He gave me a fair estimate, compared to what Hyundai was trying to charge me, for the same service. Something came up and I wasn't able to make it to my 8:30am slot, but Sam messaged me an hour later and asked if I was still going to come in today. I apologized for missing out earlier, but asked if I could still come in if it wasn't busy and he said he could take me in. I got to his shop and he checked me in, had me fill out some paperwork and got to working on my car. I was there for less than 30 minutes and lo and behold my car was ready. I paid the exactly what he said the estimate would be and he gave me my keys. Before he sent me off, he said I was missing a clip under my car and told me he added one, which I thought was really awesome of him. Side note, he asked if I was Filipino and said "Kumusta ka?" and it made me laugh, and it honestly set the mood for the rest of the day. My new 2006 Acura MDX had not been serviced for some time and needed valve cover gaskets replaced. While he was at it he replaced the spark plugs. Then he discovered the transmission fluid was filthy; but, instead of just proceeding he checked with me as there may have been such wear that there would be major slippage due to the degree of problem oil.
