These guys have been maintaining, winterizing, and repairing my boat for probably 20 years. I've…read morebeen happy with their work but always thought it was a little pricey. This past spring, after a two week wait they had me bring it in on March 31 for a stuck release button on the throttle handle. Weeks went by. They never let me know anything but I knew they were busy so I didn't hound them. After a month or so I called and they said they didn't know when they could get to it. I called about once a week to see if anything was happening but was always told by the office lady that there was no news (they never called me first). Finally, after about four months, I called and asked her to have one of the brothers to call me. Tim called and basically said he didn't know how to work on Volvos and for me to come get it and take it somewhere else. Please note that this is the same boat that I have paid them thousands of dollars to maintain and repair for the last decade or two. I let them keep it all this time because I was sure they would get to it any day. They've always been good to me, but this time I feel totally disrespected and cannot recommend their business.

Top Knotch Boat Repair and Alice were extremely responsive and very helpful in getting me quote and scheduling a cleaning appointment for me. Do not take your boat engine to this guy! He swindled me out of $4735 over the course of 7 months…read more He claimed to have replaced a piston all the rings, rebuilt the carburetors, New gears and shafts in the lower unit. He did absolutely nothing to my engine. He would send me pictures of someone else's stuff saying it was mine. For example he sent me a picture of a cylinder that was scarred that had a hump top piston in it. After I got my engine back and disassembled it mine had a flat top piston.
