I recently purchased a new home and had been warned that the gate mechanism was faulty. For a few days I had. Even using the old gate and it was working fine, until one day I locked myself and my car into the property having to manually push the gate open. Eric was my first call, he answered the phone immediately and asked for photos. His first hope was that the gate could be repaired with simply part swapping. Once he saw the photo he very sweetly said, this is a very old system, I know we can fix it but it will take a while to find parts etc. I appreciated that he wanted to save me money, and I insisted we do a new system. This was a Thursday on a holiday weekend and on Sunday he came out and installed an entirely new unit, programmed all of my remotes, gave me an app that can open and close my gate remotely, and did it all with a smile. Top notch service. Eric was so professional and prompt! I was having trouble with my garage not closing or opening with the remote and it was so inconvenient. I know first world problems, but when you're leaving for work at 5am the last thing you want to do is run around your condo in the rain to close the garage! Anyway. He tried to show us all the options available to us. But we were so impressed already with him, we told him we didn't want it fixed. We wanted a new garage door. QUICK- So, after we decided which door we wanted and Eric looked at our (couldn't be messier) garage, he asked us if we would like a light and a socket in the garage as we would need it for the motor anyways. We said yes and so he recommended one of his electricians. We told him we wanted to get this done fairly quickly. So, he spoke to him on the phone during our meeting on Monday and told Eric he could do the motor and the light on Tuesday (I mean the next day!!). With that Eric was able to order the door the motor and have our garage door done yesterday!!! IT's BEAUTIFUL! He also showed us how to program the garage to open from our phones. I contacted Master Garage due to the many positive Yelp reviews, Eric was at our house in less than 2 hours, and he had the entire job done about an hour later. In addition to replacing the broken spring, he lubricated the moving parts and helped us solve an issue with our garage remotes. Eric lives up to his company's name. He is a true master. When we couldn't get our automatic garage door to close this morning (Friday the 13th no less!) , we had visions of a long weekend with reduce home security and a brand new car exposed in a neighborhood with rising crime. To our great relief Eric answered the phone and offered to fix it within hours. He called several times to keep me aware of his ETA and arrived as promised. I was once again concerned when I couldn't recreate the door dysfunction. It didn't stall as it had before. He knew exactly what to do and simply walked over to the unit and recreated the problem himself. He diagnosed exactly what was wrong with the sensor system and offered two fixes, one inexpensive and temporary and one that was somewhat more costly (though still reasonable) and would provide long-lasting protection against similar issues. We chose the second. Within an hour he had totally rewired the sensor system and solved the problem. He demonstrated that the garage door now opened and closed as it should, but would stop immediately when an obstacle was placed in the door's path. He could not have been more pleasant and professional, and will be our first choice for any future garage door problems. I can't believe it. I met a honest business man. I'm 68 years old and have been around the block. I had a problem with my 300 foot fence that was bent. The fence divides my property with my neighbor. He has 20 foot trees on his side of the fence. I have shrubs. I wanted to straighten or replace my 33 year old fence. Eric came by and gave me a price. I swallowed hard and figured I had to do it. Eric pulled on the fence and then said. Your fence is bent but strong. Why don't you save the money and let the shrubs grow above the fence? No one will see the bent fence and wait till you have to fix it. Wow, a honest business man. I looked him straight in the eyes and said, why didn't I think of that? He gave me a solution that was good for me and not so good for him. He told me he also fixes garage openers and gate motors. I will be using Master Garage for life!
