Hire at your own risk. We hired this painting company to come finish a new construction house paint…read morejob. It was total exterior paint job because there was stucco repairs and partial interior paint as only were there was a few plaster repairs and all new doors and door frames to be painted. Two weeks later we added to paint the roof and paint about 100 custom cut trim sticks for a decorative treatment. From the beginning they started painting over or damaging by scraping metal trims dripping paint everywhere as they never ever use drop cloth. and when moved to the interior they barely caulked any of the door frames or trim they didn't sand any doors or door frames slapped on paint with brushes as if they never painted before. Bringing all this to the attention of Jean Claude the owner he never corrected any issue when pointed out. He tried to correct the doors but did the exact same thing again!!! After a while the work was becoming destructive and damaging to the point where every door and trim in the house will have to be sanded down. All tongue and groove exterior accent wood will have to be sanded down as they have no idea how to stain wood and ruined about 1000 ft.² of wood. Trim sticks were painted correctly but then one of the workers went over it with a roller ruining them. All doors were sprayed but then a worker went over them with a roller. We have thousands of dollars worth of damages and re do work and he was here for two months which should've been a two week job maximum. We gave him every opportunity to fix and only more destruction taking place even walls damaged windowsills damaged. Roof was finally painted two months into the job weather was not a factor. In the beginning painters were there every day then it became sporadic and towards the end weeks will go by without them working. I'm well known in the area and have a reputation for delivering a beautiful product. hiring this company was the biggest mistake ever made in 30 years of home renovation/ construction. Much much more damage and poor workmanship here that could possibly ever be described.

HERE IS A LESSON ON CHOOSING THE LOWER BIDS…read more I went with Marvelous Painting because of the good Google Reviews and price. Marvin submitted an estimate/contract which ended up being the 2nd lowest bid. I reviewed the contract and found it was not specific enough, so I made multiple changes and additions to include but not limited too; Metal and Wood Doors and Metal Garage Door. Sand and properly prepare all metal and wood surfaces. remove oxidation and loose and/or flaking coating.... See photo of contract Services also Include clean job site daily of any debris and or material etc. See Photos Marvin and I both executed the revised contract. I also texted Marvin with my schedule and told him I needed to be there for the entire process to monitor the progress. It started out well until I found issues with their work product. It started with the pressure cleaning. His young assistant Lorenzo pulled the pressure cleaning hose across my landscape lights, breaking off the plastic blade that sticks in the ground leaving 3 broken lights. See Photo. While caulking the windows and doors, Lorenzo stepped in caulking that he dropped on the floor and walked all over my travertine tile, leaving caulk footprints everywhere on the deck. See Photo My Garage Door is made of metal. He agreed to sand and remove rust from the door. Instead, on Friday I found that he just painted over the rust without removing and priming the rust as per the contract. When I confronted Marvin with this issue, he became defensive and hostile. He repeatedly said he had been painting for over 25 years and then began reciting the things he did in addition to what the contract required. As if one issue countered the other. He did paint 2 of the window frames which was not in the contract if I gave him a good Google review, but that does not negate that he just painted over rust on my garage door and refuses to sand it and repaint that area. The rust will come back. The conversation continued to be hostile until I just walked away. Then the drama proceeded. Marvins's new assistant Bobby went over to him and hugged him and patted him on the back whispering. Let's just get the job done and be paid. I have a flat screen TV mounted on the back wall of my house with a shelf containing the TV box and sound system components. At the time of the estimate, I pointed out to Marvin that I did not want to disconnect these components. Marvin said he would cover them with plastic and paint around them. Instead, I found the components hanging by their wires off the shelf. See Photos. Continuing including photos; And Photos don't LIE There was green paint on my travertine tile, they painted over the brass hinges on my side door, they left a splash of white paint on my front street, there was caulking on my travertine deck, they did not cut in the green paint on my front door and finally while conducting the final inspection with Marvin and his assistant Bobby I showed them paint droppings on a brass door handle and asked him to please remove the paint. Bobby had a bottle of solvent in his hand. Marvin refused saying it was preexisting.
