Sadly, it's our go to place for getting our cars inspected. I can say for sure that they are consistent about two things, they are fast but man are they cranky. On one of the first sweltering days of summer I had to quickly drop my car off and make the big car switch with my husband as we had limited time. I walked in and got the big mean stare from the big mean lady behind the counter. She obviously thought I had missed that since last time I was there. I stuttered that I had an appointment for later in the day but could I please drop my car off now. Another gentleman approached the counter and big mean lady said, "She needs something." So I asked again. He said that's fine, stared at me a bit so I gave him my keys and left, not sure if anything would actually be done. They did the work, I got my inspection done and they charged me $12 bucks. I just would like to feel a little more like a customer and less of an inconvenience. read more

Master Tech is the only place I will get my car worked on. They're fast, efficient, and communicate well. The y know my name and call me when things aren't going as they predicted. They're mechanics, not talk show hosts. They work on my cars, not my mind. In the past twelve years I've not had to take a car back to fix what they made a mistake on. Only a few people meet you at the front desk and each can schedule repairs, offer opinions, and suggest ideas. There are cheaper and quicker places for oil changes and new tires, but I'm going to continue at Master Tech. read more

Gawd. Where is a good car mechanic in the Northland? We had been loyal customers to Riverside's Leibrands auto until we had a few "moments," that we just didn't feel like we were getting stellar service. So on the recommendation of TWO family members, we tried out Master Tech just down the road. We've been taking both our cars there now for a few oil changes and other small things and while they do the work, the customer service is abysmal. 100% of the time my husband has had to call them to check on the progress, even tho they say they will call us. We took my SUV in yesterday for a squeaking noise coming from the front axel and also to replace the little face that goes over the ignition, as it popped off one day. We wanted these things fixed, whether it took the day, two days, and at whatever cost it was going to be. We just wanted them done. We dropped it off and my husband plain out asked them, "Now, you guys are going to call me?" To which they said yes. The day went on and finally at 4pm my husband called them, and they told him it was done. Um yeah, were you planning on calling us? Probably not. I'm sure my car would have sat there until the end of time had we not called them. Anyway, they say they fixed the front squeaking, but they couldn't get into the small space of the ignition to get it fixed. Ooooo-k? So we go to pick it up and I ask my husband to ask them what we need to do to get the ignition face fixed, do we need to take it to the dealership or something else? He comes back out with the keys and receipt and tells me that they said it would have been a hundred or so to pull the steering column apart just to epoxy the piece back in. So they tell him they can't do it on the phone, then in person they tell him they can, but didn't anyway. WE WANTED IT FIXED!!!!! I don't care how much it cost or what it was going to take. F- - - ING FIX IT! That's what we are bringing our car in to you for!!!! They basically told him, it's just cosemetic anyway, and my husband said they had an air of "who cares as long as it starts," about it. I'm sorry but you know if it was one of their personal vehicles they'd fix it. Yes it still starts, but it looks junky as hell. But they are lazy and from what I gather, they just didn't want to do it. Completely unacceptable and now I have to take my car in somewhere else to have it done and be out a car for another whole day when they could have just done it. I'm infuriated. I just wanted it fixed and I'm not sure why they think it's up to them whether or not they fix something on one of their customers cars. Then as I'm about to back out one of the mechanics comes whipping around the corner in a bigger SUV and parks it crooked yet snugly in the space next to me, blocking me from being able to back out straight. He gets out and gives me this smug ass look. I'm glad I witnessed that tho, doesn't seem like they are very responsible when they drive their customers cars and that solidifies that I won't be back. Please find somewhere else to go for your car. We are going to try Christian Brothers next and then after that I don't know what we're going to do, there just doesn't seem to be a mechanic out there that goes above and beyond. read more

We have been taking three vehicles to Master Tech for the last few years. We have ten + year old cars and are at Master Tech on a regular basis for small repairs. Brakes, sensors, coils, AC, and recently a water pump. There is always good communication and they don't do anything without asking first. Usually done in a day, but we always make an appointment.
