WOW! Today was my first experience with Mastercraft and the service was exceptional. My brake light on my Audi Q5 went on and I went to Mastercraft to replace the front brake pads. I just had my back brakes replaced at the dealership and was surprised to see this alert. I had been told my front brakes were fine. The Mastercraft team inspected my brakes and told me they were fine and that this was an electrical issue that prompted the alert. They gave me other recommendations for the future. They were AWESOME. Also, they did not charge me ANYTHING for this inspection. I have already highly recommended them to friends who live in the area and plan on using this team in the future. Brought car in for service after Kia dealership told me I needed brakes after servicing car for a recall. Mike was skeptical, stated he would call me once car being checked. Had just arrived at LBI only to discover that there was a screw in my right-rear tire. Slow leak, I have a pump, but a hassle, nonetheless. Last night I looked up places to get the tire repaired and the usual suspects appeared: Mavis, Firestone, you know the drill. Then a few 5* reviews appeared for a little place, just off the beaten path. Hopped in the car, drove over expecting to have to leave my car for a bit. They pulled the screw, plugged the hole, and fixed it in fewer than 5 minutes. Walked in to pay and they told me to be on my way and that there would be no charge. Amazing. Especially in a "summer" destination where everything costs 5x what it should. Can highly recommend Mastercraft Discount Auto and Tire. You shouldn't expect free service, but you'll definitely get great service. read more

I was on a mini vacation trip to Atlantic City to make a deposit at the casino's And my wife Honda pilot heat up and transmission burning oil that completely damaged. The cost to fix the transmission would be in the thousands. The manager Michael Raio, was so helpful in getting a junk yard place nearby, And keeping the SUV there he also assisted me in where to get a rental car and drove me to the rental Place. They have top notch mechanic's and AAA service coverage. Never been at a location with such great customer service and for me owning cars for over 40yrs and dealing with car services places. This is the best place to get your car service in South Jersey. I will always take my car to be service here. And I live up North Jersey. Trust me they will treat you like a King or Queen. read more

When my brakes started to grind, I found numerous recommendations for Ken at Mastercraft, so I decided to give them a try. So happy I came to Mastercraft in Manahawkin to get it fixed - saved me over $200 that Kia quoted me AND I'm getting better parts! They were even able to squeeze me in before closing while I waited. Small shop and waiting area, but it's comfortable and everyone is friendly. Can not more highly recommend. read more

I found the shop to be a traditional repair shop. I saw they do some commercial service which is a good sign. Ken up front is real pleasant and honest. I also have been around cars doing repairs and had studied auto repair and found the shop credible and honest. Although my car was not worth repairing I got the honest report from Ken. read more

Brought my JEEP back for a intermittent hanging up of the RF brake caliper. BACK... is the key word here... I JUST had it done in early June 2018.. 2 1/2 yrs prior... a full brake job. The hang ups were intermittent and crew Mastercraft and the GREAT manager Ken were unable to verify the hang ups, and went the extra mile to check it our overnight even.. They could not verify the cause of the hangups but replaced the entire front caliper assy UNDER WARRANTY Gratis.. for free no charge for parts or labor. I had a leak in my rear tire at the busiest time of year. It was the holidays and I had so much on my plate. Also, I was facing some long distance driving. I went to Mastercraft and tire was repaired before I sat down to check e-mails on phone. The folks at this shop are so friendly and the waiting area is lovely with many amenities that you won't find at most places. I highly recommend this local shop. They won my business! read more

Complete incompetence. Zero courtesy for customers. I had my Nissan Murano towed to Mastercraft on a Wednesday around noon. The key was stuck in the ignition, and I assumed it would be an easy fix. At around 2:30 I called Mastercraft, where Ken, the manager (and overall pleasant guy) told me he was going to look at the car "right now" and call me back. He did not. He closed up shop and I never heard from him. Strike one. The next day (Thursday) I called Mastercraft at around 9-10 in the morning. Ken told me he looked at the car, and he was estimating a bill of around 1100 dollars to replace a part that was apparently broken within the ignition. I was floored, but what could I do? I told him to go ahead and fix it. He said he would get right on it and call me back. He never did. I called Mastercraft three times throughout the day, looking for updates on the car. Twice, no one picked up. On the third call, Ken answered, and told me he needed to have a "programmer" come down to program a key for the car, and the programmer would be there on Friday. Strike two. He never said anything about a programmer, or that the car would need to stay for another day. On Friday, I again called Mastercraft several times throughout the day. Every time, Ken responded with, "It's being looked at right now!" This was a theme throughout my experience with Mastercraft. Every time I called, my car was apparently being taken car of that instant, but not once was I ever called with updates about the car. I was left in the dark about everything. Anyway, at around 2:30 on Friday, I call Mastercraft and Ken tells me that, "The programmer couldn't figure out how to program your key. He is going to come back tomorrow." This is now three days without my car, and if I had known he was having this much trouble, I would have had it towed to the Nissan dealer nearby, but Ken kept insisting he was going to fix it and that everything was fine. He tells me that the programmer will be there early in the morning on Saturday. Strike three. On Saturday, I call Mastercraft around noon, where Ken's response is "The programmer is looking at it right now, I'll call you back in an hour." Ken did not call me back. He never did. Around 3, I decided enough was enough and had my girlfriend drive me to Mastercraft so that I could talk to Ken in person. When I got there, Ken threw his hands up and admitted his programmer couldn't figure it out, and he couldn't fix the car. Strike 4. He tells me that he will have the car towed to the Nissan dealer first thing Monday morning, as everything was closing soon. We shook on that and I left. On Monday morning, I called Mastercraft at noon, and Ken told me the car was being towed and would be at the dealership shortly. Great. Once I got off of work around 3, I took an Uber to the dealership to discuss what the car needed and how long the repairs would take. When I arrived, the dealership told me that no such car was towed to them. It was only after I called Mastercraft immediately after, scathing with anger, that Ken admitted, "Sorry, the pickup is here now, I'm watching it being loaded up as we speak.'" So much for, "First thing in the morning." Strike 5. Eventually my car arrived, just as the dealership was closing, so no work could be done on it that day. On Tuesday, I called the dealership around noon. They told me they were working on it, and it would be ready by 2. After work I again took an uber to the dealership, where I was given a whopping bill of...130 dollars. That's it. The 1100 dollars Ken had quoted me was a complete farce. All the car needed was new keys. Nothing else had to be replaced or fixed. Strike 6. Mastercraft lied about the necessary repairs. I went 6 days without a car and spent a lot of money on Ubers to get back and forth to wherever I needed to go. In short, Mastercraft shows zero respect for customer time or money. They lie about what needs to be fixed. If you are having car issues, take it to one of the dealerships nearby. read more
