My son and I booked head spa services expecting a relaxing experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short. My son is just over 6 feet tall, and the bed was too small for him--he had to brace his feet against the wall the entire time. Partway through, the water halo on his bed stopped working, and instead of addressing the issue, they simply didn't use it for the remainder of his service. The ambiance had potential, but one bright white bulb in the otherwise soft lighting setup was positioned directly in my line of sight, making it difficult to relax. The massage portion was also underwhelming--it felt more like a quick application and wipe-down of products rather than an actual massage, and there was so much product used that I was goopy and sticky afterward. About halfway through, both of us started experiencing back pain from the uncomfortable beds, and it lingered enough that we needed to take pain medication afterward. To make matters worse, my hair was never properly washed and still felt greasy when I left--I had to go home and shower immediately. My son wasn't cleaned off at the end either and left with greasy product still on his upper body. I was also supposed to receive a blow-dry, which was never offered. Considering we spent over $200, this was far from the relaxing, quality experience we expected. I would not recommend this service. At. All.

She always gives me exactly what I want and doesn't skimp on product and she works very fast. Her prices are also very reasonable. I agree the salon in general is not the "let me get you water, how are you doing" type of place, but if you ask for anything they'll do it. For example, I was feeling cold and Alyssa gave me her own shawl to cover me, which I really appreciated. Maybe some of the stylists are good, but the management isn't great? Often that's to blame - like they don't give their stylists a budget to really take care of their clients, have blankets and water on hand, etc. In any case, the RESULT was GREAT with Alyssa, I've seen her twice now. Her lashes last a really long time - I was shocked. I used to live in San Francisco and saw a stylist who I thought did a great job, but her lashes would fall out after two weeks, and then I would have this inconsistent look where all of a sudden I went from very few lashes to a full set. The lashes Alyssa did still had some remaining at the end of a whole month on vacation, so I was overjoyed. It's not like the full set stayed, but enough remaining that I wasn't embarrassed and still happy with my look. And now that I'm back, an apt every 2-3 weeks means I'll have consistent lashes that don't significantly change every 2 weeks, so I'm happy. :) Alyssa is definitely going to be my regular stylist, the long lasting lashes are so worth it!
