Foaming washes, black peel masks, etc. I hadn't even bothered to read the label of things I was putting on my face and still curious is to why I was breaking out like a 14 year old teenager. Krista and I had the chance to sit down in a FREE consultation and discuss everything about me and my skin. She discussed things like certain foods in my diet, my own skin care routine, hydration, and dangerous chemicals in certain products. Anytime I had a question, she had a well thought out answer. And if she didn't know, she'd research and find the answer for both of us. After the consultation I set up an appointment with her to do a skin treatment. She has created a very beautiful, most importantly, clean atmosphere to go about treatments. It's really in the name. Face It, girl's got aesthetic. She makes sure you're comfortable throughout the treatment by being personable and checking in on you and your comfort level. I agree the salon in general is not the "let me get you water, how are you doing" type of place, but if you ask for anything they'll do it. For example, I was feeling cold and Alyssa gave me her own shawl to cover me, which I really appreciated. Maybe some of the stylists are good, but the management isn't great? Often that's to blame - like they don't give their stylists a budget to really take care of their clients, have blankets and water on hand, etc. In any case, the RESULT was GREAT with Alyssa, I've seen her twice now. Her lashes last a really long time - I was shocked. I used to live in San Francisco and saw a stylist who I thought did a great job, but her lashes would fall out after two weeks, and then I would have this inconsistent look where all of a sudden I went from very few lashes to a full set. The lashes Alyssa did still had some remaining at the end of a whole month on vacation, so I was overjoyed. It's not like the full set stayed, but enough remaining that I wasn't embarrassed and still happy with my look. And now that I'm back, an apt every 2-3 weeks means I'll have consistent lashes that don't significantly change every 2 weeks, so I'm happy. :) Alyssa is definitely going to be my regular stylist, the long lasting lashes are so worth it!
