I have had my brows and liner tattooed about 5 times in the last 25 years. I recently moved to Tucson and called around to find a new artist. At my 11/8/14 appointment, I arrived with my brows drawn in so Michelle could see the color and shape I desired. I also had a little color left from the previous tattoo to help her. After one week, I noticed my brows did not take at all. I contacted Michelle and she said "I will take care of you" which I took to mean there would be no charge. But after another call, my assumption was corrected because she charged $50 for a touch-up. I called to confirm my appointment the day before since it was a 50 minute drive for me. I arrived 10 minutes early, and a gal greeted me and said "I will call Michelle and tell her you are here." That seemed odd. A half hour later (20 minutes late for my appt) Michelle arrived with a weak Hi (no apology). I had one brow drawn in with my desired shade, leaving the other brow naked. For some strange reason, Michelle wiped my drawing away. She proceeded to tell me that I was not clear, and tried to sound like she remembered what we discussed. If that were true, why did she not remember my name and had to ask me. She told me to re-draw what I wanted, but it was very difficult to see in her lighting and mirror. Michelle told me I drew it in darker than when I came in. I told her let's go darker because I did not want to come back and pay another $50. While working on me, she scolded me for several minutes. To appease her, I didn't argue, I just wanted to get out of there. Plus she came up with some flimsy excuse why she was late ("it was raining and you know how people drive in the rain"). Um, I drove 50 minutes and was not late. So, here it is exactly a month since that touch-up... not only are my brows too light, but my liner needs a touch-up. I have this touch-up booked with another artist. Blush lost me and 3 of my friends who are looking for a tattoo artist. I honestly believe the reason Michelle's technique does not work is she uses the "hand tap" instrument. Michelle has a lot of growing to do as an artist and business person. read more

I bought a Groupon for eyeliner ($75) in June 2015. When I called for an appointment, I was told I couldn't get in until July 18, after the Groupon expired. I set an appointment for 2:00 with some girl and I could hear Michele in the background asking questions; she obviously remembered me from a previous appointment. I put the appointment in my Google calendar as I was talking to her so I'm certain it was the right date. Had to be a Saturday. Yesterday, not having heard a confirmation from them, I called and left a message. A standard recording came on with no business name spoken--obviously never set up--so I left a message asking that they call to verify the appointment. I never heard back and really wasn't sure if the number was correct or if anyone was answering the phone, as my previous experience had been similarly flaky. I liked Michele and figured it was business as usual. Her office is about an hour away from my house, so I left an hour before my appointment, hoping I actually had an appointment but not sure. I got to the address listed above--2604 N. Stone--which really isn't anywhere, and looked her up again on my phone and found the address at 5151 N. Oracle. It would've been nice if the appointment setter had mentioned the address but that would be too professional. Silly me for expecting the number on the web to be correct. 5151 N. Oracle is a small, seedy office building with several offices facing the street, mostly unmarked, and an inside building, some marked, some not, some with blinds closed or falling down. A massage parlor. Not great. Outside is a sign listing the offices in the building. No Blush. My previous appointment had been at Michele's home, so I really didn't know what to do. I called and left another message that I couldn't find them and was heading home. Decided to try one last time and go into the office building and wander around the halls looking for her business. Finally, I turned a corner and found a hand-lettered sign pointing to an office and went in. Inside was one woman lying in a chair and another one talking to Michele, who looked at me questioningly after a few minutes. I introduced myself, even though I'd been to her twice, but she didn't acknowledge that, and told her I was there for my 2:00 appointment. Obviously I wasn't on her calendar. She said she didn't have me on the books (asked me if I'd gotten a confirmation) (which I never got in my two previous appointments either) but would look in to see what had happened. She and the woman continued talking in front of me for another 10 minutes, ignoring me, then they went in a separate room for another 15 minutes or so to talk some more. I went outside to take a call, and when I went back into the office they were still out of sight talking. I got no apology. No explanation. She never came out of the room to acknowledge me. Apparently Michele never even looked in the books. She certainly never got back to me. I left in disgust. The woman in the chair was still there, in the same position. At this point, I am out the cost of the voucher--$75--and disgusted with the whole operation. I have contacted Groupon to complain. I spent two hours out of my Saturday driving to get to my appointment. I spent another 30 minutes waiting to find out when she had me on her schedule. Waste of my time. I could've lived with that if Michele had been courteous and professional, but that was just the icing on the cake. This is not the way to run a business. I don't know what happened to Michele, but this is not the personable, friendly woman who treated her clients courteously and professionally. This was a fiasco. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Buyer beware. read more

This was my second visit to Blush, and Michelle impressed me again; I had upper and lower lid eyeliner done a year ago (still looks great), and today I treated myself to having my eyebrows done. She consulted with me over my preferences on color and shape, and checked with me throughout the process to make sure I was satisfied aesthetically. It's a very nice service that she offers a free touch-up within a month or so in case a detail needs to be added or corrected. I also wanted to comment on the non-electronic technique she uses-I love that the high-pitched buzz is missing, and it seems less painful than typical tattoo needles. I was concerned on my first visit that the effects wouldn't last as long with this technique, but I can attest that my eyeliner has looked perfect for over a year now with no touch ups. I'm so happy to have found Michelle -- she's a true artist and professional! read more

I had a good experience with Blush. First I had very mild, natural looking permanent make up on eye-brows, eye-liner and lips. Mishele is excellent with colors, it was very natural blend in powdery make up done. She takes her time to listen and was very precise with the shape I wanted. And she told me, that pigment won't last much, cuz it's so light natural looking type of make-up. My eye-brows faded for 8 months, eye-liners for 1 year, lips stayed longer. I was ok with this, and I spent too much time outdoor swimming and suntanning. Last time I had more pigmented lip liner make up. It still stays fine, didn't fade, cuz I asked Mishele for more pigment. My lips look nice for almost three years. Thank you, Mishele! Mishele does her job by hand with needles and it was more painful, than a machine made make up. Naming cream was helpful :) and peeling process was more intense with hand made tattooed make up. But resulted make up was very satisfying. read more

The location has changed and most of the websites are wrong but once Michele called me back to make the appointment,she made sure to tell me that the new address is 5151 N. Oracle Road ste. 119B. She was very good at tattooing my eyebrows and I look forward to seeing her again for touch ups. She was very nice and down to earth and had a real eye for art. I got a great price on Groupon so although I will have to pay $50 to touch them up in 6 months,I really don't mind at all. I went to Blush to have my 3rd upper eyeliner refresh in about a 5 year period. The previous applications were done by other artists. Michelle re-did my upper lids and seemed to have a sixth sense about permanent make up. Since my first visit, I have had my brows done - They are so natural looking. I'm sure it is the soft tap process and her mastery of it. The hair strokes method she does is the key to natural looking brows. I've seen some really bad applications since I have a tendency to research these things pretty thoroughly/obsessively beforehand. Then I had my lips done about a year later. I never thought I would, but her confidence won me over. I am completely pleased with the results. Full disclosure lips hurt, but are so worth it. Then about 6 months later, I had her remove the crooked underliner done by a previous artist. Afterward, she re-did the underliner and I am so happy with the results. I didn't realize how tired the crooked liner made me look. Side note: at this appointment I saw the reconstructive work she did on a man who had lost his eyebrows in some sort of accident. Don't be fooled into thinking Michelle is just a cosmetic artist. It was clear to see she gave that man his dignity back. Yes I cried, don't judge, you would have too. She is a busy artist. Sometimes it can be difficult to get an appointment as quickly as you may want, but since it is permanent! Quality is worth the wait!!!!! I've sent family and friends to her. I absolutely love Michele and her work!! I got permanent eyeliner and eyebrows done by her about 5 years ago. Her work as a permanent makeup artist is precise and painless. I have had so many compliments on her work over the years. I am very light skinned and blonde so I was worried that I would look too "made up". I taught PE outside and the look she created for me was perfect and completely natural. I recently went to have my lips done, on July 18th, to be precise. I was the "other person" in the office that Kathleen K refers to him in her slanderous review below. She arrived in a huff and looked at Michele and myself with venom as we were talking about how the lip procedure would go. Michele addressed her right away and said that she didn't have her down in the books but if she could wait a bit then she could look it up and see what happened. Michele took me back into the procedure room and put numbing cream on my lips and continued to go over how it would work and how we would decide on a color etc.. We then walked back into the waiting room where I would stay and allow the cream to completely numb my lips and the Kathleen K lady was gone. We were in the room 10 min max. Anyway, Michele took the other client who was in the chair waiting for her numbing to process and I stayed in the waiting room for 45 minutes. Nobody ever walked back in. Anyway, my lips got good and numb just as Michele finished with her other client and gave me the top quality treatment that I have grown to expect from her. My lips turned out perfectly and my touch up done within a month will be free, as usual. Of course if someone waits many months down the road, a small fee would have to be charged to do more work. I have never had that happen because it is obvious at about a month what areas have pushed out the ink (natural) and Michele happily touches that up. Another thing that doesn't sound right from the Kathleen K story is that I know from previous business that a Groupon is only good with new clients and she mentioned that Michele knew her from previous work....not making sense, Kathleen. Also, I actually like the facility where Blush is located and plenty of reputable businesses are in that business park. If you are interested in a true professional, see Michele for permanent makeup. This was my first visit with Michele, and my eyeliner looks INCREDIBLE! It's very natural looking, and I have to confess I love the compliments. Michele had me put on eyeliner to get the exact look I want, took it off for me, and started the procedure. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and applied the numbing cream as often as needed. I was able to look in the mirror at certain times to make sure the shape was exactly as I wanted. Michele also used a hand method which created much comfortability, and I believe more control. She talked to me throughout the entire procedure so there was not a dull moment. I know she has had many years experience and it shows! I have recommended everyone to Michele and I cannot wait to get more services done by her! read more

The service was friendly and initial results were fine. My problem? The color is applied manually with a disposable applicator, which means the process is very slow and is totally dependent on your makeup artist's ability to prick tiny holes in your skin without getting tired. My color faded and pretty much disappeared after 6 months. I have had the same procedure done with a tattoo machine, and that produces much more consistent and longer lasting results. Color applied with a machine will easily last up to 10 years. If you don't mind going in for a touch-up every half year, this is a viable option. I'm just not convinced it's worth the cost. read more

This is the second time I have had my eyebrows done. The first time was two years ago in Hawaii. I have to say I am very, very please with the job performed by Michele, owner & artist of Blush. Michele adhered to sterile procedure & insured I experienced no discomfort before & during the procedure. She also approached color matching with extreme care. Unlike the first time which was done mechanically, Michele applied the permanent make up manually. It does take a little longer than with the mechanical applicator, but in my case the results were superb! The pigment used in this procedure is NOT the same used by tattoo artists in tattoo parlors. It's an entirely different ink, where as in tattoo parlors, the ink will eventually lose its definition and tends to discolor with a bluish hue. Those of us with really old tattoos know this well. The pigment used by board certified permanent make-up professionals is quite different. Although it may fade over time pending body chemistry & sun exposure (my original application from HI lasted two years), it is the correct way to have permanent make-up applied & the best way to achieve a very natural look. Aside from doing fantastic work, Michele is also very kind & considerate. I would highly recommend Blush for permanent make-up! read more
