As far as escape rooms go, this experience was average for me, nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary. Employees were nice and informative. The theme room we played in was not properly reset as one of the locks was unlocked and was just open without having to solve anything to get into it. Second, some of the items that are numbered inside are rubbed nearly off and hard to read, making it harder to play and not as enjoyable. A proper update to the room would make it much more enjoyable. read more

We came here as a group of 5. There is a Groupon out there which makes the ticket about $28 per person. We did the bank heist. They have 4 rooms right now. I have a few annoyances. 1) they put you in a room with a bunch of other people to equal 10. The people we were with were pushing us out of the way and not working with us and it really ticked me off. 2) they were running about 15 minutes past our time. Our time was 4:30, we started around 4:45-4:50. 3) I didn't see a bathroom anywhere in the waiting area. I think if you get a private group, this event would be a five star and if they could start on time. I'll give it another chance as a private group. read more

This was my first escape room experience and I had a blast! I went with a group of work friends and because of the room size a couple joined us. Before we were 'locked' in the room we were given a brief of the locks and clues we would encounter, for a little pregame practice. Also the front desk woman explained how hints were available on the given tablet. Next it was time to play! We chose the hardest room: "Outbreak", which freaked me out a bit with us being so close to the CDC headquarters, but moving on. The employee dressed the part of a scientist and made the introduction of the room enjoyable. After our time ended, our same 'scientist' came and explained what we missed or even overlooked. It seemed so easy after that. We then moved back into the lobby and chose or loser quotes. After checking in on our social networks, we were given discounts for next time! The host seemed bothered by us, we were 2 minutes late and the first words from her mouth was "time will be deducted" poor experience overall. A friend wanted to come here and I was apprehensive at first because I didn't know how good I would be at mastering the game. Once we got started, I had so much fun it really didn't matter to me if we completed the entire puzzle and escaped the room within the hour (we didn't). I had so much fun I came back with my husband and we did not complete the room that time either (it was different from the first one) but I can't wait to come back! I found myself completely engulfed in the game and completely distracted from real life. I would definitely recommend it for a group of two or more. We were told groups of four or more generally finish faster, but I liked going with just one other person because I felt that each of us was challenged more. However, after reading into their several different rooms, I knew my family and I would have so much fun if we visited. We did have to book and pay online ahead of time, agreeing to no refunds, but that was no problem for us. First time doing escape room here in Augusta and we really enjoyed it! We went for a birthday of a colleague of mine. The place is really clean and hosts are very accommodating and nice. We brought our 4 year old daughter and was glad that kids under 5 are free. The set up is good. They even have snaps of pictures and videos of the experience that they will show you in the end. My wife and I went here on a date and we had a good time. We've been to upwards of 30 escape rooms in multiple continents so I may be being a little more critical than the average Escape Roomer. Positives: This was the only escape room I've been to where they give you an iPad upon entering the room and loaded in the iPad is five clues. You use them how you want, when you run out, no one will help you so budget them. The design and decor of the room was really cool and it went well with the theme. Negatives: They book up to ten people per room so my wife and I were paired with four other people and the room is definitely not big enough for ten people. My wife and I could have done it ourselves with ease. I honestly think the other people slowed us down because the room just isn't big enough to warrant 10 people. We chose the room with the lower pass rate of 21% and it felt too easy. The hints loaded into the iPad are garbage and basically tell you what you already know. We couldn't get the combo to something and when we asked the iPad for a hint, the hint was basically something to the effect of, "You need to enter four numbers to unlock it." Well no crap guys, thanks for nothing. If you go here you'll have a good time because there's just something about trying to escape that has your body unleashing dopamine like teenagers unleash hormones, but there's much better ones out there. read more

My first time trying the escape games was at the Augusta location and my experience has always been amazing. I've been three different times and I have nothing but great things to say. The staff is very helpful and super nice. Customer service is never an issue. The rooms were always in good condition and our games always started on time. I mentor children between the ages of 9-12 and they absolutely loved this as an event. It helped them with team building, communication and leadership. This was my first time doing an escape room type of thing, and it was SO FUN! I went with a few of my girlfriends, and luckily, we were the only ones scheduled for that room. The lady at the front, I can't remember her name (Katherine, maybe?), but she was super nice, helpful, and she was pretty funny, too. You get one hour to complete the room, and get yourselves out. We didn't make it out, but we were close. I won't spoil it for anyone, so I won't go too far into detail, but we did the Bank Heist/Robbery room, and it was kind of hard! They explain everything to you in the beginning before you go back to the room, and they give you a few objects to help you with your escape. There is also a button in each of the rooms so you can be let out if you need to use the restroom, make a phone call, need a break for a few, etc. You get things like a flashlight, a pad for writing, and a tablet to help you along the way with keeping the time and scanning hints if you need them. Overall, a great experience, and I'm totally excited to go back! You may want to bring/wear a jacket, though because it's pretty chilly in there, at least in the front room. read more

Super fun! I came with family in a fairly large group and we were able to successfully go through the challenge. We did "Lost in Time" and enjoyed the concept and set design. There was a substantial amount of puzzles to solve that made it feel like there was always something for everyone to do. There are 4 rooms and max 10 spots in a room. $28/person (discounts available). CLEANLINESS: 5/5 Very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were kept clean. Rooms and its objects felt clean and maintained. SERVICE: 4/5 The staff seemed very knowledgeable and trained. A clear and concise brief was given at the beginning outlining the general Do's and Don'ts. The staff member dressed and played in character which added to the experience. A couple downsides: 1. A couple times we waived our hands and asked for help like they told us to whenever we needed help. We waived on two occasions but no response. 2. No debrief. We were given a simple "you did great," but nothing more. Asking around, debrief does not sound typical but it would have been nice if there was one given. Would help the group understand what helped, what worked well, what didnt work well, what we failed to do, etc. With regards to team work and group dynamics. COST: 5/5 Normal cost is $28/person. There are coupons on Groupon that can be used and you get to register online with others or individually if you choose the appropriate time slot. When you arrive, you sign the waiver, here the room speeches, and then let the games begin! While in the waiting room, they have games, locks, brain teasers, and clues for you to solve and use until it's time to go in your room. Gen it's time, you're put inside the room with a tablet and you begin looking for the clues to get through the room and beat the time clock. For Christmas, my family did the bank heist escape room virtually over Zoom. Beforehand I was skeptical of how enjoyable it would be remotely because of the logistics of dealing with Zoom and having multiple video streams inside the room to go between. However, they really figured out how to make it as "normal" as possible and within a few minute, I was engrossed in the experience enough to forget I was using zoom! To give a little more detail, in order to allow you to see BOTH a view of the room overall AND the player's view within the room, they display the room as "screen share" and the player's view as a normal camera. This allows you to pin the player's view side-by-side with the room view and gives you amazing perspective of where the player is and what they are doing! Such an ingenious idea on their part! They also use the "screen share" potion of the screen to show close-up static images of clues you need while looking at a puzzle or lock through the player's view. Speaking of our player, Stewie was THE BEST! From the start, he played the part of a bank robber so well and was joking and engaging with us in such an enjoyable way. Kudos to Stewie - he really made the experience for us! Overall, although it still definitely felt different than doing an escape room in person, it was much more seamless and enjoyable to do so virtually than I ever expected. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and usually places in GA are closed. My Dad and I decided to try our skills in the escape room, and thankfully it was open! We picked "Lost in Time," which is the easiest of the options. I had gone through an escape room in Toronto and loved it; I thought it would be a fun activity for us to try together. We bought a Groupon (12% off) and I made an appointment online for 2pm. Please note even with a Groupon I still had to pay the GA tax upon booking. We showed up and both signed a waiver. The employee reviewed the rules while we waited for our turn. Since there was only two of us, we were placed with another family of five whom we didn't know. The game was very fun and we ended up getting out thanks to some helpful tips from the staff. This was a fun activity that keeps your mind thinking and your body active. First time experiencing an escape room and I did so with my boyfriend and another couple. My initial thoughts were that it would just be us in a room trying to get out but come to find out it is you with a group of people. There must've been 10 of us trapped in a series of two rooms that were quite small with maybe about 6 to 10 locks or puzzles we had to figure out. It was good fun and the host of our games was to be expected, a little goofy and quirky, but he had fun with us. I like that afterwards if you won the game you held up a Posterboard of your choice that they laid out and they take a group photo for you with your phones if you wanted. Of course if you lose the room, your unique photo posters are of a negative descriptor. LOL. I think I shall return again but this time try another puzzle and see if they don't do smaller groups.
