My daughter starting coming here on Saturday afternoon in May and it has now turned in to a every Saturday and some Fridays and Sundays too loo. She loved the atmosphere the awesome staff and the regular skaters that were willing to teach them some tricks. The food at the bar is delicious for quick foods. There is nothing else you can do for fun and exercise for $8 or so dollars. Definitely recommend. Also the lessons are around $5 and are awesome as well. Did a birthday party today. Had very good service but didn't appreciate paying over $200 and we could only have 50 minutes for our birthday party. We felt it was overpriced and very rushed. Our server was polite but we were never asked what we wanted to drink. We were given a pitcher of coke and had to ask for water. It felt like they were cutting corners to be as cheap as possible. Though this was not on the server but on the business. I will be looking for a more accommodating place next year. We should have at least had 2 to 2 1/2 hours minimum. Reply to business response: We were very rushed. Host kept coming and telling us how many minutes were remaining. 50 minutes at a skating rink with kids is too short of a time span for a birthday party. The place is also run down. We will not even come back for a session. I read all of the fine print prior to the party but the word soda was mentioned not "Coke". The kids wanted to skate for a bit and then do the party stuff, however they had to wait to skate and do the party stuff first due to the very short time frame. Most places allow at least 2 hours. My daughter spent a lot of money on a double Birthday party in March only to be treated poorly the very next visit with my 15 year old grandson who had only skated 4 times in his whole life after he was accused of purposely causing others to fall. My daughter was upset about these accusations and voiced that to the staff and officer on duty. Fast forward to 5/31/25 my daughter takes all 3 of my grandchildren ages 7-15 for a fun day of skating and while paying a young employee walks away to inform another employee "They're back" at least that is what it seemed like. My daughter received unpleasant looks from the officer on duty, he watched over her as he stood 4ft behind her for what seemed like the entire 3 hours. Close enough for her to hear him speaking about her and commenting on my 12 year old daughter's shorts. With her being so slender and tall I suppose he deemed them inappropriate. The staff was also said to have been whispering about them as well. The kids enjoyed their time regardless of the negative vibes coming from both the police officer and staff. I will never allow my child to go here again. He was treated very unfairly Saturday night. The owner made a remark to my child that was inappropriate and insensitive due to a recent family tragedy . Leaving a child in her facility and expecting them to be safe and respected would be a huge mistake and that should be a serious concern for a parent. My daughter had her 11th Birthday Party out here on September 3rd. The establishment was clean, everyone was friendly and the host did a great job with everyone. Everything promised (food included) they did and we didn't have to ask, she was on it every step of the way. They do allow you to bring a cake in but cupcakes, ice cream, popcorn and pizza were supplied as well. The picture posted was a cake I brought in. Because of Covid I was kind of weary but it wasn't packed and the reserved area was to the right of the Rink where not a lot of traffic was able to get through, they also had it separated from the rest of the area. My 7 year old daughter loves to skate, just like I did at that age, but of course now it's so out of favor so the skate rinks are all kind of dated/time capsules. That being said.... The music was good, the staff interactive. The laces in the skates need to be replaced, it took us forever to lace our skates. The bathroom was disgusting- staff, please pay more attention to that. No soap or paper towels. Makes me really grossed out that we were all touching the same handrail around the rink. My rating is more of a 3.5 star - but if they could improve the laces and bathrooms, it has potential. read more

Monday is Christian music night which is actually pretty cool and it only costs $3 other open skates can range from $5-$9 and these prices include rental. Don't show up right when it starts its a mad house trying to get in right when they open, but be prepared there is nothing to hang on to which could intimidate many newcomers but if you are looking to have a good time head over to skate land of Augusta. 11 Years ago I found my husband at Skateland of Augusta. We had a lot of White Parties there for our Anniversary/Birthday's. I love the D.J's there, Yes it is called Old School Adult night. Meaning playing Old school music, but that wouldn't be fair because you have the younger crowd coming in. So, that's why they started having people write down the songs you want to hear, which is not fair either lf you have the majority of young people, what about the Old crew that was there for years, well that's not fair, I think it should be a mixture of all types of music, if you don't want to skate on the song, sit down, until you hear what you like.As Adults, you should know you can't please everyone. You talk about the music, how many times do you have to tell the same Adults to not stand on the floor talking or just standing there, or sitting on the floor with your skates hanging on the floor so someone that is skating can trip, or in the fast lane, skating slooow, if you want to dance, you don't have to do it on the floor in front of the DJs , your suppose to dance in the middle of the floor, Oh, what about your pants hanging off your butt men, or women coming in like they l, no I am not going there, There is a sign with the dress coded. I had so much fun taking my family here to skate! My kids had never been before. The fee to get in includes skate rentals. You can pay an extra fee for the assistance bar for kids who don't know how to skate. Also, parents skate free Saturday mornings! The skating rink itself is older and a little run down but we didn't care at all. I really liked how there's seating all around the rink. I've never seen that before. The Youth Department decided to go skating on Monday night during the Christian music night. My Youth Pastor was told the price was $6 to include a hot dog, drink, and skates but was never told the Youth Ministry had to arrive at the same time in order to receive the drink and hot dog for $6. When I went to retrieve my ticket for my hot dog and drink, I was told I could not receive the drink and hot dog because my group didn't enter Skateland "together" to receive this deal. I was puzzled because this was not the first time my Youth Department attending Skateland on a Monday night for the same price, same deal, and never entered at the same time. In fact, the last time we came to this business was 4 month prior to this day. I asked to speak to a Manager, and of course, the manager was the same RUDE lady that I spoke to earlier. She was extremely unprofessional. She walked from around the counter and begin to raise her voice at me (which I told her she was not going to speak to me in that tone of voice) and she argued with me stating that my Youth Pastor was informed that my group had to be at the location together in order to receive the $6 price for a hot dog and drink. After explaining to her again that we was never told this and in fact the last visit we didn't enter the business at the same time and still received the deal, she went on to tell me how many years she worked at this business (6+ years) and no one would have allowed this to happen. It was obvious to me that she wasn't willing to make "it right" me being a paying customer, a returning customer with great influence in the community (being a Pastor & Educator). Instead, she was focused on proving a point that I had to "follow the rules" which I never tried to break, just simply wasn't informed of the rule. Needless to say, I didn't receive a drink or hot dog which or could buy but refused to do so because of the principle and level of DISRESPECT I endured on November 7, 2022. I ended the conversation by stating I would never return to this business, I would never recommend this business to anyone, and I would write a review on my experience. And to the owner, I would suggest you be very careful who you select to Manage your business. Being a business owner myself, who you allow to represent your company can have a negative and lasting affect on your clientele. Because I am a Woman of Integrity and I will never allow no one to pull me out of character, I walked away knowing that I am happy to take my business elsewhere. I will end by saying, I have never had a bad experience in before. My daughters have skated here for years, I've known several of the younger staff members that have worked there, and even know one of the current staff members that work there now. First thing I noticed was rules posted in the entrance. This rink could use some updating, but provided seating all around the rink for parents and skaters. They also had several food option from what I could see (I did not try any).I was there for a birthday party. They seem to have a system that works to allow them to be able to accommodate lots of parties per day. The attendant that was assigned to our party did not have a party personality but wasn't rude. You get 50 minutes at the table. The table is already set up With tableware, drinks, balloons, and the cupcakes. As soon as the kids sit down they're given their hotdogs, chips and ice cream. After that they sing happy birthday and then open gifts. They allow them to skate before the party and until 6pm. They had skates for all ages, including my 1 year old, as well as wheelie assist for beginner skaters (for 5.00 fee). The music could have been better. So my 14 year old daughter and 18 year old son went to Skateland for a friends birthday party on the night of June 12th. My daughter had previously injured her right ankle. She paid for her admission, and when she got her skates she told the guy behind the counter that she couldn't actually wear them because of her injured ankle, he responded "I dont f@#$ing care." Not once was anything said that anyone under the age of 18 were required to wear skates to remain in the establishment. Let me say this, we have attended this establishment several times before with our 7 children...we have NEVER had issues before, even when some of our kids continued to skate and others stopped. Therefore we didnt think there would be any issues with our daughter going and especially to attend a birthday party. After being there for 2 1/2 hours she was approached by an employee and a Police Officer. They demanded her to put on her skates. They stood there watching as my daughter cried in obvious pain while trying to put the skate on. She was told that they didnt care about her injured foot or that she was in pain. She was then instructed to keep them on until we picked her up or she would be kicked out of the facility. My daughter is 14 years old. She has an injured foot, and she was there for a birthday party. Do these people have no compassion? Do these people not give a crap about their customers that choose to have parties there and then harass their guests? The answer....apparently not. Needless to say, I was beyond angry. When the pain became too much for my daughter, her and my son decided to go outside to wait on us to arrive. She left limping, upset, and her pain was so great that she could not put her shoe back on. When I approached the manager about this, I was given no understanding, no offer of reimbursement, nothing except an "I'm sorry" and a dont care attitude. Personally, I will never return or allow my children to ever go there again. I will not allow any place to belittle my children or threaten them with being kicked out. The simple fact was, she was there for her friends birthday. She was not causing a disturbance. She bought food and drink while there. It was known from the start she would not be skating. The same police officer and employee saw her as soon as she was there at opening not wearing her skates and sitting down. Nothing was said then. I dont understand why it took 2 1/2 hours to finally approach her about this. And I will mention as well, the young lady that was also there for the same birthday party that was forced to leave PHYSICALLY by the cop because she was accused of being rude and disrespectful and also did not have her skates on. This young lady was in the process of leaving the facility and was only saying goodbye to her friends before leaving. Even the mother of the birthday girl stepped up to say the cop was out of line. This is unacceptable. You would think for an establishment that has been closed for months, would be a little more gracious to their customers that have returned and keep them in business. They no longer have my business or my support, and I encourage everyone reading this to NOT take your children there. Who knows, you might be next. God forbid your child injures themselves there and are unable to continue skating. This place shows no mercy and you may find yourself spitting mad on the concrete steps like my children were forced to do. Great job Skateland. read more

Brought our children here for the first time and it is just ok. The music was kid friendly and that was a plus. The pricing was $6.50 if you wanted a hot and drink with your skate rental or $5.50 with no hotdog and drink. If your child can not skate they have those training holder things that you have to pay for ($5 for two hours) which I frowned upon because I have more than one kid so it was a bit pricey for my family. There is no wall for the kiddos to hold on to to help keep balance so it forces you to purchase the trainer holders. I feel those should be free. There was also no one to keep the rink flowing. Kids where skating all crazy and falling on purpose which was causing others to fall. However it got the job done and the kids got to skate. The staff was not very people friendly (no smiles, seemed not happy to be there) they did spend a lot of time conversing with one another and smiling to each other but just not with customers. The manager and the employee were very rude to me. The employee ask me was I the parent I said no but Im with him. She go and says to me that's not what I ask you then my mama said thats his Auntie first and farmost and Auntie is a parent but back to the story. The was like unskating parents with emphasis like I was dumb or something she was talking to me any kind of way so i ask to speak to the manager told me that that's just how she is. Nasty place. If I can rate them zero stars I would. I chose this place for my child's birthday party. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They have some rules set in place that are ridiculous. Before you walk in, you have to give them all the gifts, party decorations and cake. It was very hard for me to hand over the cake when I other things I was carrying in, they just take it out of your hands without realizing it and almost dropping stuff. I had to put a few decorations on the cake and was told I wasn't allowed to per management. The party person they assign to us that day, I felt was rushing us to sing HPD right away. The cupcakes that are provided with he package are horrible...they are dry and stale. Nobody can sit in your assigned seating area only the children. While the kids were skating 2 parents sat in the seating area and were told to move. The bathrooms had urine in the bathroom stalls when we arrived and when we left they still had urine all over the floor. I did bring it to their attention and they failed to do anything about it. We were there for a few hours. The management staff is nasty and have no care or tact in how they speak to customers. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I attended a friends birthday party and this was the most disorganized and horrible experience EVER. The grandparents and family friends that showed up for the 9 year olds birthday were charged to enter even though they had NO desire to skate. Some of the family wanted to hand her gift before they got on the road. They were not allowed to do so and she could not go out and say good bye because of the no re entry fee. The grandparents and family that did pay to come in were not allowed to attend the party because of a limit of people allowed in the area. If this was mentioned beforehand, they would not have purchased the party package. It would have been much cheaper. The parents could not enjoy the party because they kept having to deal with the issues the skating rink management was causing. I will never attend this rink again and neither will any of the other 30 attendees. DO NOT HOLD PARTIES HERE. AVOID THIS SKATING RINK. STAFF WAS UNORGANIZED AND RUDE. read more
