I also have to hand it to BJ who did the installations. We spread this project over 3 orders a couple weeks apart to take time figuring out what we needed. Each time, BJ was thorough, thoughtful, and fast. We have black windows throughout the house, which is new for us and made design selections a little trickier, but the results are outstanding. Wil and team went above and beyond to get the colors exactly right and ensure everything was measured and designed to spec for each window. There are way more decisions to make than you realize, so having someone knowledgeable to walk us through the options made all the difference. The results speak for themselves. I wish the photos did them justice! They're even better in person. We went with white 2-inch faux wood blinds (they look awesome with the black windows!), sheer black solar roller shades, and extra-large wood plantation shutters custom painted to match the window trim. My real estate agent referred me to John and within two days he made it out to my house, took measurements, and had everything ordered. Pricing was affordable. He let me pay for half up front and the other half upon completion. A few weeks later, everything came in and John came back out and got the shutter installed in about 15 minutes. I can't thank John enough, I get compliments all the time about the shutter and finally have some privacy at the entrance. He's highly knowledgeable of his craft and a true professional. Later initiated and signed separate order to purchase additional lockset for back door to ensure same cylinder keying. Received text and email messages on December 9 and December 11 that project is now on hold and that my action is required. On Dec 10 I scheduled installation dates with NG but salesman is no longer in loop and no NG project manager or specific contact person has been identified. Today called NG back again but nobody can explain why project is on hold again. Hopefully project will be completed soon and everything will progress OK. Not a warm feeling that all is well.

I should have checked the reviews on Yelp before I contacted them! You never know if someone who makes a recommendation has an ulterior motive or is just ignorant. PBOA showed up & the salesman took measurements. He wasn't very helpful when I asked questions about the limited samples he showed me. I wanted 8 gauge, 1 inch aluminum mini blinds - all he had to offer were flimsy 6 gauge. The only decent looking sample was for 2 inch faux wood (plastic/resin) blinds. They were attractive, so I placed an order - the cost was $1,100 for 3 windows! He told me there was a "limited warranty" - which usually means miles of fine print + loopholes to protect the seller. I waited 4 weeks for the blinds to arrive and 2 additional weeks before they could schedule installation. The young man who installed them did a good job, but almost immediately I could see the blinds were cheaply made and didn't function well. Light leaked in everywhere and the blinds would not close tightly or completely and they were loose - they did not fit close to the window frames. We called the company and complained. A man came out to look at them. He had zero authority to do anything other than to say he would ask his supervisor (supposedly out of town) if he could charge us an additional $600 and replace them with cheap grade aluminum mini blinds. We told him "no". We were finally able to replace the worthless blinds with premium, 8 gauge aluminum 1 inch mini blinds from blinds.com. Their representative came out to measure and remove the defective blinds and ordered the replacements, which arrived in 2 weeks. My total bill was about $600 - including installation and hauling the defective blinds away. I highly recommend blinds.com and hope Yelp readers learn from my mistake and avoid PBOA. They have zero integrity and pathetic customer service. Most importantly, they don't give refunds on inferior merchandise.
