We ordered doors thru Costco from Top Notch. We started this process in January. We were replacing 3 openers and 3 doors and 2 man doors. The man doors were done in a timely fashion also the openers. The doors themselves were a different story. They just installed the last door a week ago. The doors were custom ordered and came in damaged twice. We had to wait for them to remake and then finally they arrived and were to be installed. This was June. Top Notch came and only installed 2 doors? We had to wait again for the third door. Finally the third door came and was installed but it didnt match the other doors. Again we had to wait to get another panel made. This has been the absolute worst experience! Top Notch has made no effort to try to compensate us for the total inconvenience of this 9 month journey. This was to be done in 10 weeks at most! I had to consistently call for updates and to try to get any information on what was happening. The customer service is sub par at most. We definitely would NOT recommend this business! The install team was fine and did the job each time. But the ordering and customer service was not even close to being acceptable. Lastly we were to receive a 15% Costco card for this order and got a 10%. I have called to enquire but to no avail. read more

Full disclosure, we bought an opener from Home Depot, and this was the company that was contracted to install it. That said, I had a very different experience from the recent reviews. These two gentlemen (I really wish I was better at remembering names) showed up on time, and they immediately noticed that my garage springs were stretched out. They also noted that this might have been the reason that our previous opener failed so quickly. I appreciated the insight and left them to take care of the opener without my hovering. Everything was done in just over a half hour as promised, and when they called me out for the inspection, they also informed me that they had tightened the springs on our door to prevent future damage. This is something that I appreciate. They went the extra mile and didn't even charge us extra. I will be using this company in the future, and I feel like they deserve this recommendation. read more

Called Overhead Garage first and got some fairly high prices. Called Top Notch right after and was pleasantly surprised to hear their rates. Much more reasonable. The sales rep I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and gave me many different options to choose from. I felt like he wasn't trying to pressure me into buying the most expensive door or anything I didn't need. The installer came out to my home and was very quick and efficient in his work. I was overall pleased with the both the service performed and the amount that I paid for it! Will definitely be calling them back in the future and referring them to friends and family. read more

As the previous customer mentioned, if I could give "0" I would!!! When I scheduled for the technician to come to my home I was informed that they would call a hour before coming. My appt. was at 4pm, the technician called at 3 pm stating he was at my home. I informed him the agreement which he said that he would do another job and return at 4:15. I left my meeting and arrived at 4:00. At 4:30 I had to contact the technician who said that he wouldn't be here for 30 more minutes (I wouldn't have had to leave work early). The technician was here all of 10 minutes, stated that they couldn't reach warranty company. While I attempted to call on their behalf he left. He left with the broken garage door opened and never notified me that he was leaving!! I do want to add that I was nervous about him entering my home to start. Very disheveled, without an I.D. or business card. Horrible company!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE - Theft or Negligence? Either Way - No Compensation or Replacement Unless you keep receipt for everything 10+ years stored in your garage, outfit it with a full surveillance system, or plan on dedicating your time to hovering and watching every single, solitary move of the tech dispatched to your home - you may want to reconsider using Top Notch Garage Door as your garage repair service provider. The tech needed to move 3 items to gain access to the area to do work with my mother's car still parked in the garage: a black-lidded trash can, the green ladder, and the black recycling receptacle. I am including pictures to show that now there are only 2 items remaining: the black-lidded trash can and the black recycling receptacle. The ladder was positioned in such a way that it served to be the "STOP" marker when my mom backs into her garage. When calling to give a description of the ladder, it was very convenient to find that "all" of the ladders used by Top Notch are green (hmm). It was originally hoped/believed that this was just a mistake the tech (J. Hollinger) taking the ladder. While it can't be certainly stated if it was willful or negligent that the ladder disappeared from my mother's garage; neither J. Hollinger, Kyle, or "Roscoe" (?) were willing to make any accommodation - after previously advising that it was "possible" to provide a replacement from their own fleet/inventory. Whether the item was accidentally or willfully taken, or left for a 3rd party to gain access thru their negligence, Top Notch is anything but. They will give you a "Sorry, it's your problem," kind of response and then tell you to have a "blessed day." Of all things for a senior-aged, sharp-minded person to allege, I'm certain a missing ladder would not be the "go-to" item when having garage work completed. The HOA will be notified to encourage all residents in the community to NEVER patronize this business. read more

i called these people to have them come out and give me a estimate for a repair. I told him over the phone what the issue was in detail. The guy showed up to my home and within 30 seconds said I needed a new door. I told him that I wanted a repair.He said the door could not be repaired. I said really. ( I have another home with the same issue that I had repaired.) He tried to pressure me into getting a new door then said (You might be able to find parts in the garbage can to repair it. When I told him I had a repair at another home just like this one he said well "We don't do it we just replace. He also said that the sericve free paid for his gas and he needed the money! Lesson learned do not use a company that can't afford to come look at an issue and charge a service fee! read more

Top Notch showed up early before the scheduled appointment. I had door springs installed, my garage door is operating nice and smooth now. Then it is time for a new garage door I will be calling them back. The only drawback is they charge an extra 4 1/2 % on credit card charges. read more

Top Notch is NOT top notch. They put in the wrong door. I have to call and have the parts replaced every 3 -4 months. Top Notch refuses to put the correct door on and make good on it. It costs us $150 every time to replace the parts. We have two different companies tell us we will continually have to replace the parts or replace the whole door. read more

Times have changed : Four years ago I used Top Notch Doors to install a new door. The price was great the service was great. No complaints. BUT NOW Times have changed : Thursday AM i called TND to tell them that the 3 Rollers had come off the track and was hanging down about 18 inches, they informed me the warranty was only good for one year. I understood and ask them to come out any way, I was afraid the door would fall , I am 80 years old and unable to get it back in track myself. They said a repairman would be out that day between 4 and 6 PM. at 6:30 I called the company, they had put another customer in front of me and he would be out as soon as he could. ....I waited and at 9:06 Robert ,the repair man came. He told me there would be a $29.00 service charge. I agreed , I then asked for an estimate, he went to the truck and went thru his paper work. about 10 min later he came back saying the charge for labor no parts needed would be $ 375.00. This was a shock to me. He wanted the money before he would start any work. I told him I would leave my drivers license. while I went to an ATM. He would not bill me or take a credit card without adding a 3 1/2 % extra charge. I went to the ATM and returned 30 minutes. The door was finished and working fine. I asked why I was Charged $375.00 for 30 min. Labor. That is $750.00 per hour. He said he was worth it, $375.00, and that is what the company charged. I paid the man his money.....My advice to everyone, is DON'T USE TOP NOTCH DOOR. Yep times have changed. read more

Wish I could give more starts but because they only responded to my negative post at Yelp and other sites, I can't give them a great review. I must say, the door does work well and except for the repair needed, I would recommend the door and have no big complaint with the company except for response to the initial problem. read more
