It doesn't get any better than this! At the time of booking, I had not done any review readings nor was I provided a recommendation for Masterpiece Limousine. In fact, I don't remember how I came about their number. But I am glad I did. First and foremost, the driver (Chris) was impeccable. Well dressed, extremely professional and well dressed. Unlike other drivers I have had in the past using other companies. The service requested was a general tourist like drive around San Diego for 11 hours. Although born and raised in San Diego, having a well informed driver with precision driving skills made the trip very pleasurable. At one point, Chris took us through the Hotel Del for a personal tour. The sort of tour one may have to pay for. We made plenty of stops, trolling around the city. Once we were done trolling, I simply made a call to Chris and within 5 minutes we were back in the car. Finding a place to park a 10 pax limo in Hillcrest and Old Town is no small feat. Further, Chris had made our reservations for breakfast and dinner. Both locations were extremely favorable and well worth the trip. While I'm normally obsessive over planning everything, somehow getting transportation to our wedding slipped my mind until about 2 weeks before the actual date. Oops. The company recommended by our coordinator was booked except for a 10 person limo which was a bit excessive for our needs. We stumbled upon Masterpiece on Yelp and decided to contact them. They were easy to contact 24 hours a day, were quick to respond to emails and super personable. Sarah, our driver, showed up early to pick us up in an immaculate SUV. So it has been a few years and Big Ed's staff has been consistent each and every time. Lately I have been using them for airport shuttles. His crew is always 15min early & I get text and phone calls saying they are waiting for me curbside prior to me even landing! We only use Eddie when we need a car service. Eddie is prompt to respond to emails and phone calls. Masterpiece limo has impeccable service. We just used them from a return trip from Napa for the weekend. The driver was dressed professionally and offered us bottles of water and was mindful of the music choice and volume as he drove us home. Head and shoulders above the rest. I needed a limo for a bachelorette party a week out. After calling handfuls of companies who a) laughed when I told them how soon I needed the limo b) quoted me astromonical prices or c) never called back, I called Eddie, who walked me through the whole process, gave me a fair price, and assured me that he'd take care of everything, not to worry. He encourages you to provide him with the addresses for stops in advance, so you don't have to spend all night talking to the limo driver. Our chauffeur, Sergio (?) was very cordial and responsive. If I had to have any complaints, it was the lack of complimentary champagne (thought that was standard) and that I tried to book online, but never heard back until I called (not that big of a deal...) However, the overall service and fact that there are NO surcharges (tax, tip) outside of the quoted price means that this Masterpiece lives up to its name. read more

We had the BEST time celebrating my friends daughter for her birthday. The Limo was on time, clean and the driver was excellent. The ride was very smooth and the driver took us on a beautiful scenic route because we had extra time to spare. April helped with making the reservation, and she made it very easy and was super efficient. This review is in reply to Charles H's review on Masterpiece Limousine I am actually the groom of the wedding and although what Charles listed was true, Eddie the owner was actually very accommodating in this matter. Once the dust settled and all of the facts were presented to both parties, Eddie was able to make a determination that the driver was at fault and Eddie accepted full responsibility for the mistake. He was very respectful to my wife and they were able to come to an understanding as to what happened and how he will ensure this will not happen again. I respect that as a business owner he reached out to us after his investigation of the matter was resolved and made sure Lisa and I were happy with his gesture of apology. I will keep that info undisclosed but we are happy with the results. Aside from the initial issue that was stated I can say that Masterpiece Limousine was very prompt in shuttling patrons, family, and guests back from the Island Club on Naval Air Station North Island back to our Hotel at Inn at the Park after the wedding was over. Without issue. The bus that was provided was clean, it was comfortable and all the guest driving back to the hotel felt safe and enjoyed the ride. I was actually on the bus returning back to the hotel to ensure my elderly grandmother got home okay, I had no complaints from the service at that point. I am giving them 3 stars because they did great on 50% of the work and Eddie the owner was able to talk to us and was respectful, understanding, and very apologetic to a mistake that was out of his control but has fallen on him since he is the owner. So the magic question. Would I use them again and would I recommend them to you all. I would say Yes, Why. Because I am a man of taking peoples word and owning up to mistakes. If I had not heard directly from the owner we would probably have much more nasty things to say but since he was able to tell us sorry and that he will personally ensure things like this do not happen again we are happy. Flawless service. Arrived early, the driver was friendly and professional and even made extra stops for us to buy more Champagne during the evening. We got dropped off in Downtown San Diego and the driver informed me that he was only told that it was a one way transfer. Let me just say that Eddie from Masterpiece is awesome! Last Sunday morning another limo company called to say that their limo broke down and so they couldn't take us on our planned Temecula wine tour. I called another company and they were booked. I called a 2nd company and they were booked too, but they referred me to Eddie from Masterpiece. Eddie said that he only had one limo available but it's air conditioning was not functional. He was up front in saying that it would be pretty hot in the car and he didn't want us to be uncomfortable. So what did Eddie do...he (personally) arranged for another limo company to take care of us. With only a couple hours notice he managed to arrange the "world's longest limo" to take our group of 12 to Temecula. He also personally arranged for the other company's most experienced driver to take us. Eddie went way, way beyond what one would expect considering the current economic climate. He easily could have taken the business himself in his remaining (broken A/C) limo but instead he referred us to a competitor. We hired this company for our wedding transportation needs. Eddie and April were really easy to talk to. Although, we did have a little issue with communicating via email, but it was more of a computer error on their end than anything else. April even called me right away when she noticed the glitch they were having when trying to email me, she reassured me that everything was all set for our wedding. Well, Eddy out did himself again. We had Masterpiece pick us up for a to and from San Diego Airport. Our driver Albert Elias was awesome going to the airport and on time as usual. Our return driver was not quite the same with a few miscues like trying to drop us off at the shuttle stop versus the Alaska Airlines drop area. Well, today, I received a call directly from Eddy. His driver had already told him about our misadventures. Turns out that a driver had called in sick and our driver was not trained yet to be a driver. After, Eddy had heard from his driver, he waited until after the Christmas Holiday was over before calling us. He was totally unsatisfied with our trip from the airport and offered to comp the entire round trip which I found totally unacceptable based on the service that we had received from our first driver, Albert. So, I refused the total comp and told him that I would agree to comping the return from the airport. But, for Eddy to have perceived any lack of total satisfaction, he took the high road and phoned me to compensate for the problem with the return from the airport. I have used Eddy many times and was not overly surprised by his call and his care about outstanding service to every client. GOOD JOB EDDY. As someone who has lived in San Diego on and off through the years being driven through the city and it's beautiful costal views was such a beautiful and special experience. Our day started early afternoon and we were greeted by our driver David. The limousine was very regal and spacious. It made you feel like a mini celebrity for the day. David drove us to all the costal sights and all the must see locations. Some of the memebers in my group had never been to some of the locations David took us to so it was a nice surprise to all of us! I just wanted to say how great these guys are, even though I didn't actually use their services! I asked for an estimate from Antonio for a 4 hour limo and a "escape car" limo for my wedding. I'd given him my Visa number before I'd decided to go with them or not. Later I'd decided to go with another company for the two limos, it was a tough call on that too. Unfortunately they accidentally canceled only the 4 hour limo. So on my Visa bill this week, I saw that they'd billed me for the "escape car" limo that I didn't use. I of course expected the worst because of the confusion. However when I called them, they immediately reversed the charges without any issues or bad feeling at all! I reserved a one way transfer for my daughter and her bridal party back at the end of May. The original driver was here promptly (and even a bit early). He waited for my daughter and party 25 minutes beyond the arranged departure time and regrettably had no choice but to leave due to another scheduled pick up. The hairdresser finally finished and we were scrambling to get everyone in different vehicles to head to the ceremony. My phone rang just in time with a call from the owner saying to stay put and he already had another driver minutes away! Not only did he send someone to get the bridal party there on time, he sent a party bus with no additional charges. This is truly an outstanding show of customer care and compassion on such an important (and naturally stressful) day. Any other driver would probably just have waited in the lines but Isaac knew some tricks. And Eddie accommodated some last minute changes on my part without hesitation. I have rented limos in the past for myself - prom, graduation, wedding, parties - but this is by far the absolute best experience I ever had.
