Well, I hate to be the one guy on Yelp who has had a poor experience with these guys, but here goes: We were headed to Temecula for a 5 hour wine tour on Saturday. There were 4 couples of 40 somethings looking to have a great time tasting wine and hanging out sans kids. The Top Cat/Masterpiece team were responsive pre-trip even inquiring prior to pick up day to confirm time and itinerary. The expense was $500 for 5 hours. When Phil arrived all was as it should be (e.g. clean limo, glasses and even bottled water). The trip up to Temecula began at 3pm and we pulled into Wilson Creek at 4:15. The guy at the parking area told us we weren't welcome due to a lack of a reservation. Nonplussed, we ran inside to micturate and to pick up a couple of bottles of sparkling wine, then off to Southcoast we go. Same story here, except the Securitas person at the front was instantly more confrontational. When I asked to speak to someone in charge he introduced me to tasting room manager who explained that they DO NOT allow limos or the people in them into their establishment after 1pm. This is a well publicized fact on their website and is universal based on an agreement of the Temecula Valley Wine Growers Association. At this point I turned to our driver Phil and asked him why he wasn't aware of this universal policy, and why no one informed us of this possibility. I became even more frustrated when Phil horned in on the conversation that I was having with the manager to demand why this had never been an issue in the past, and that his limo company was a member of some organization or other. This totally put this manager in a defensive posture and she really held the line after that. I was unhappy at this turn of events and let Phil know (much to everyone I was traveling with chagrin). Well the plan after wasting over an hour with still no wine tasting turned out to involve dropping us off at the bottom of the hill at Miramonte winery in order to avoid a possible repeat. All went well this time, and we enjoyed our time there. The rest of the evening went off okay from at Top Cat/Masterpiece standpoint. I have to give Phil credit because he didn't get too upset at my name calling and remained professional. He did seem genuinely surprised at the negative turn of events, and tried to get us to have a good time, but I simply cannot forgive the fact that they had no idea that there were restrictions on limousines on the weekends. A friend booked the entire thing himself and we each paid him for the limo, I feel that some sort of compensation is due us, but none was offered as of today. I booked very last minute for an event at the Del Mar race track, Eddie provided my party with a very nice late model party limousine bus, the bus was clean smelled fresh a/c system was I cold (if you ever taking a party bus You know a/c systems is a must but most don't work that good)awesome sound system I was very happy with the quality and pride of ownership he takes in his company will defenetly recommend to all great job !!!! read more

Never used them. Some neighbors did rent their stretch hummer tonight. The driver decided to bump some loud rap music in my small gated community. We walked over to ask him to turn it down some as we could hear every word through the walls. He didn't seem to care and said, "Yea thanks." after we asked him to turn it down. He didn't turn it down. We then called the number on the back of the limo to complain to the company, and the person on the phone didn't seem to care either. Just asked us, "How did you get this number?" Well, we got it off the back of your loud ass limo. We called back again, and their dispatch said they had called the driver to turn it down. Shortly thereafter, the music subsided to an acceptable level. Not a good first impression of this service. read more

I had two different friends that had used these guys and had good experiences. They were both about 8 years apart, so...they were the first limo company I called in regards to a charity event. They do many charity events (I know, because one charity I used to be involved with), and you really can't ask companies to donate all the time. They are trying to run a business, not just do charity things all day. Yet when I explained the event, they were so kind and willing to help out. They quickly gave me everything I needed, and to me, that's just a very classy thing to do. Especially when this isn't some new business starting out, that would do a charity event to get their name out there. They already have their name out there. I can't begin to express the hospitality of THE man EDDIE!!! His driver had to cancel for a last minute emergency and he was kind enough to give up his day to drive us around. They responded to my calls as late as 11pm and as early as 5am, no automated voice mail - pure 100% personal customer service. The limo arrived in Tijuana with juice for my kids and took us all the way to our doorstop. The best part was we were able to cross the border with ease and all four of us were able to stretch out and just relax in the car after a long day of traveling on planes. Just like Debbie, I also created a Yelp account to write a review about Masterpiece Limo. I called Masterpiece Limo because of the good reviews I read here when I needed one. I was very impressed when I made my reservation with Antonio. He was very courteous and professional and made me feel very comfortable that everything will be well taken care of. The reservation process was very efficient and I was on the phone for only a few minutes. On the day of the event, we had a glitch though I'd like to point out that it was not anyone's fault.... it was just an unfortunate accident. Due to this glitch, I also had the opportunity to work with the owner Eddie and I am also very impressed with the customer service he's shown. He went out of his way to make sure I'm VERY satisfied with their service. The event went on as planned with minor adjustment, we were all very pleased with the limo and our driver Hugo. Yesterday we used Masterpiece Limo again for a birthday party, and this time everything went well without a glitch. Our driver Jose was very nice and did everything we asked him to do. Antonio called me the day before to confirm, and also the day after to follow up and make sure everything was fine. Eddie is a lifesaver. Long story short, I booked a trip for my employer a few weeks ago with another car service company that was supposed to pick him up at the San Diego airport and then take him to Los Cabos Mexico. My employer's flight was delayed, and the previous car service forced me to cancel because they would not wait for him for 30minutes (his delayed time). I frantically called about 15 places until I found Masterpiece Limousine. I can't even begin to express my gratitude to Eddie and his team for saving this trip. Eddie was able to get someone to accommodate a group of 3 with surfboards in less than 30min. omg...I can NOT say enough GREAT things about Eddie at Masterpiece Limo. In fact, I specifically joined Yelp just so I could come on here and gush about my wonderful experience! I only wish that I was actually able to meet Eddie and ride in one of his limos. several friends and I were attending a convention down in SD, and coincidentally my favorite band (depeche Mode) were playing during the weekend. a bunch of us got tix, and one of my friends suggested that we go old school and get a limo so we could party and not have to stress about driving or renting cars, etc. I googled Limos in San Diego, ended up on Yelp, and after reading the couple of good reviews here I called Eddie. He was very nice and very cool right from the start, and we worked out all the details and that was that. Or so i thought. the morning of the concert up here (which was 2 days before the SD one), I got word that it had been cancelled due to illness. After my devastation and sadness wore off, I called Eddie just so I could give him a heads up that it *might* happen down there too. I rang him at Midnight, expecting to just leave a voice mail, but to my surprise he actually answered. I explained what was going on and he reassured me not to worry about it and to keep him posted. Wow, I thought, this is going better than I expected! So I'm in SD a couple days later, and the morning of the show down there I got the bad news AGAIN that the show was cancelled. At the very least, I figured we'd have to pay the 50% deposit since we were cancelling the limo the day of. But you know what? Eddie didn't charge me a freaking DIME. He had others interested in the limo (it was a Friday night after all ) and said there were some bachelors that would be quite happy to get this news so don't worry about it girl, you're off the hook. WOW. what class! I hope the opportunity arises again one day to rent a limo while in San Diego, and if so you can be sure I'll be calling up Eddie again. i also want to add that his prices were very reasonable; I called up a couple other companies and they wanted to charge about $100-200 more for their service! We had a great day wine tasting in Temecula with about 15 people. The Hummer limo had a different name on the window so they might charter out some of their business. Our limo was pretty nice and spacious inside which was important with a group of tall guys. The driver was very nice and professional. There were a few glitches along the way, but they were quickly smoothed over (i.e., the winery reservations, the ipod connection). If you need questions answered, I found it best to keep calling until you get someone since they never answered my emails or voicemails. Eddie, the owner, was very accommodating and would provide you with ample information about the wineries. I would use their service again and recommend them to any of my friends. Was very selective in choosing a company since they were kids and had heard so many horror stories about companies promising the world and not coming through. Great price, great service and Hummer limo was spectacular! Driver was there early both ways and was great with the kids and kept me in the loop so I knew everything was going smoothly and they were safe.
