Only downside is the gym equipment is kinda old, but hey - weights are weights. The pool is usually pretty empty. They offer classes for kids too, which we use for our son. He loves his teacher Miss Liz, and he has quickly learned how to float and find the pool wall in case of emergency. We hope he can continue to learn there!

It's not a bunch of machines with "how to" labels on them... it's free weights, squat racks, some benches, some machines upstairs... it definitely has a grit vibe... so if that's what you're looking for it may be a great fit for you! The restrooms and showers and extremely spacious and include things like hard dryers and basics needed to get ready to go out or to work after a workout. The instructors are all amazing and friendly. They are encouraging and push you through the works outs. I attend the hot yoga classes such as burn and pulse. Sometimes, they will offer special, longer classes like stretching which I appreciate and try to attend. The yoga classes (LO classes) are all heated. They last 45 minutes and have classes throughout the week in the mornings and evenings. They provide props, sanitizer wipes and spray, and lavender towels after workouts for use.

Neither were even dealing with or playing with the other kids. TV wasn't working. Outside of childcare, the internet was out. So I couldn't purchase a drink or snack, some of the equipment didn't work, and there was no music in the gym. I gave the gym a redeeming star though for having a relatively clean atmosphere with the cardio and lifting area separated by a wall. This stuff I expect at the North Chs gym. Not a "Select" crunch location.

They do an amazing job at motivating and teaching correct form. Every workout is different and challenging. I am never bored and always feel like I get a great workout! The end result is worth it.
