He then notified me they have loaners to use while repairs are being done. I had a a difficult time to come pick up the loaner due to kid's schedules. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with this shop. To put it bluntly, they operate like con artists. I have a car warranty that is supposed to cover everything, yet somehow, I still ended up with a bill exceeding $800--above and beyond my deductible. Why? Because they overcharge for repairs, and when my warranty company refused to cover their inflated costs, I was left footing the bill. But that's not even the worst part. My truck's power steering went out, which wasn't covered by the warranty so I asked them for a quote. They told me the repair would cost over $2,000. That number seemed ridiculously high, so I decided to get a second opinion. I took my truck to a far more reputable repair shop in Canton, and guess what? The actual cost to fix the problem was only $238. That's right--what they claimed was a $2,000 repair was done elsewhere for less than 10% of their quote. This place is nothing short of a scam. They prey on unsuspecting customers, inflating prices and hoping people won't question their estimates. If you value honesty, fair pricing, and reputable service, stay far away from this dealership. I wouldn't trust them to fix a bicycle, let alone a vehicle. read more

Mastertech turned our nightmare into a dream! We broke down suddenly on our cross-country trip. AAA towed us to Mastertech in Massillon and the men there were professional and very reassuring. They gave us a free loaner so we could fulfill our motel reservation and then they contacted us an hour after we had checked in with a diagnosis of the breakdown - a sensor failure. The replacement part was available and by noon the next day we were back on the road! We live 500 miles away, but I wish we lived closer so we could use them more often. read more

One star is too high! Do NOT take your vehicle here! My brother who has MS and is on disability, took his car for new breaks. the day after he picks it up (and $1100. dollars later) his car locks up and he can't drive it. He has it towed back and they have to undo his parking breaks and tell him they won't work anymore , and now tell him his starter needs replaced and some other things. He leaves the car and 3 days later they say it's fixed and now he owes another $1900. These prices are so much higher than any other garage in the area, and when I called and explained my brother's situation they did nothing. When my brother asked for the old parts, they told him they couldn't give them to him because they had to send them back to the factory ( they were not under any warranty) . So sad when you cant trust people anymore but PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE!! read more

Let me say , the work they did replacing my fuel pump was a fantastic job completed. Fixed my issues. No other auto techs wanted to work on it due to its age .. Mastertech did. After talking to Jake about my issues, and, he gave me a thorough explanation of my visit. Will consider taking my vehicles back to Mastertech for servicing in the future. Thanks Jake, open & honest. I first went to mastertech when I needed tie rod ends. I typically do all my own work, but considering an alignment is required after tie rod installation, i called around for pricing. Mastertech charged the same to provide parts and do the whole job as it would have cost me to purchase and install them myself and have it aligned. Since then I have been back to them for tires, other suspension work, and a timing belt I lacked the time to tackle myself. I used to call around to compare pricing, but as they came in significantly less expensive than their competitors every time, I no longer bother. They're also very good about informimg you of any other issues to keep an eye on - not to upsell you or try to convince you to have unnecessary work done, but to be aware of any forseeable future issues. They've earned the title of "my trusted mechanic" and I can not recommend them enough. read more

They don't even deserve the one star.... con artist... conned my mom out of $44970.91 and didn't fix not one issue of concern that was discussed from the very beginning.Car isn't even drivable... only live 2mi. from shop.... car stalled out 12 times before we made it home. Do not use SNAP thru them bc whatever your approved for they will make up unnecessary repairs needed just to take full advantage of the whole amount you were approved for. Not professional, Not honest ... Not worth going to unless you like to throw away money. asked for transmission work and they told us it wasn't necessary after running diagnostics... assured us that the car would run fine and be drivable if we pay the $4500 only to turn around on the same day they told us to come get the car and say that I was right and that the car does need transmission work. And that they couldn't fix it unless we bought a brand new transmission! My mom also had to get two loaner cars from them because the first jeep renegade they loaned her stopped in the middle of Lincoln way across from Get-n-Go the same day they gave it to her.The second loaner vehicle was a Nissan Altima with a big dent in the passenger door and inside was disgustiby with sticky fluids all over the back seat and the front part where you shift gears .... had to sanitize the car just to drive it... had to drive with brights on at night because regular headlights were no good! I will be pursuing legal action and reaching out to local news investigation personnel to expose the corruption to prevent anyone from being scammed by these con- artist! read more

I brought my vehicle to this garage in January because my vehicle was not shifting right. I was told to replace the transmission. I paid $8k for a used transmission with a 3 year warranty. Since I have picked my car up in February my car will not shift right. I have brought it back to this shop several times over the course of these past several months. This car is still not fixed! The last time I took my vehicle there in August, I was told NOTHING is wrong with the transmission it is running fine to pick up the car. I have my vehicle TOWED from the garage to a Mercedes dealership only to find out there is STILL a LARGE transmission leak because things we not properly sealed or replaced. I have went back and forth with them to just have them fix what is wrong with the car. NO help from them. At this point they are ignoring my calls and the dealership calls trying to get a simple invoice number for parts. Today I called to request an invoice number and was told nothing was in the system. Needless to say we go on Monday to meet with an attorney to proceed with legal ramifications. It is sad I paid $8k to have my car fixed. Only to have an ADDITIONAL $5000 in damages from a poorly replaced transmission. And again I have been reaching out and communicating with management to avoid anything further with negative results. As a business, Mastertech is not even replying to basic requests from the dealership to make the repair. All away around this company has poor business practice. read more

Don't go there. I took my daughter's car there for a simple front end alignment. They asked, "Do we have permission to do an inspection first?" I thought go ahead, why not. But what they don't tell you is that the "inspection" costs $60. So anyway, they called me with a list of things they claim is wrong with the car. As someone who spent years as an auto mechanic, what they are telling me and how they are saying it sounds very suspicious. Oddly enough, one of the things they tell me the car needs is new front brake rotors and pads. This is odd because I had just replaced those myself earlier that week--those parts are only 4 days old! I tell them to do nothing--don't even align it, and I go pick up the car. Another thing they told me needed replaced is both lower front control arms just so they can do the alignment--for $700. Once I get the car home I inspect those...and find nothing wrong with them--the car only has around 70,000 miles. It would be very, very unusual for those parts on that car to go bad in that amount of miles. In fact, I have a car the same as my daughter's. It has 226,000 miles and the lower control arms are still good. My mother has the very same type of car also and hers is a 2009, older than my daughter's, and the control arms on that car are still fine also. Now, that does not necessarily mean my daughter's car would not have a problem, but it was reason enough for me to want to look at them first. And, as mentioned, they did not need replaced. So I took the car somewhere else to have the wheel alignment done. And I say, "Check out those control arms and see if you think anything is wrong with them." Nope, nothing wrong, and they go ahead and do the alignment. There were other things on the list Mastertech claim needed done also...yeah sure, I really believe them. Oh, and by the way, Mastertech wanted $389 to replace the front brake rotors and pads (which didn't need replaced anyway since they were BRAND NEW 4 days before). I asked the place I ended up having the car aligned at what they would charge for the same job--$210. So not only was Mastertech wanting to replace something that was brand new and did not need replaced, they also want a premium price to do it. So anyway, I asked a person at another auto repair facility the price they would charge for each of items Mastertech wanted to repair (I was curious because I usually do these repairs myself so the prices seemed outrageous, but I thought, well, maybe labor costs more than I think). Nope, Mastertech was extremely overpriced on everything. So my warning would be if you go to Mastertech and they claim something is wrong with your vehicle that you did not take it there for, first take it somewhere else to make sure it is really a problem instead of Mastertech just looking for ways to take money out of your pocket, and if it really is a problem, get another price somewhere else to make sure you are not paying too much. And in the end, as I mentioned, I used to be an auto mechanic--and have been repairing and rebuilding cars for decades--and nothing on the list of items Mastertech told me was wrong with the car was really wrong--I mean really, they claimed I needed new front brake rotors and pads when those were BRAND NEW--so you can't put much faith in anything else they say, eh? Hey, Mastertech guys, I used to buy totaled cars, fix them up, and drive them. I know what is bad and what isn't on cars. I have rebuilt cars from junk. I have rebuilt engines. I have laid on my back under cars taking out and putting in transmissions. I have put in shocks, struts, replaced springs, control arms, steering racks, and everything else under, in, or on a car. I have taken cars off their frames, put new frames under them and put them all back together. I know stuff. Don't try to scam me. Do not go to this place. I went in for a simple wheel alignment and they came up with $2800 worth of items they said needed repaired...that really did not need repaired, and they charged me $60 just to do that estimate--which would have been fine had they told me they were going to charge me that...which they did not do. The funniest thing of the whole matter was when they were telling me on the phone about all the problems they said the car had, I said, "Well, I used to be an auto mechanic. I will look at those things and repair them myself if they need done," was how their demeanor changed. Then I said not to touch the car, I was coming to pick it up. Then they said, "Well, we will call you back once we have this written up, and you can come pick up the car." No, I went to pick it up immediately. I do not need to wait to pick up my own car. And thinking back to when I dropped off the car, the appointment was for 9am. I remember them asking if I would need the car by the end of the day. What? How long does it take to do a wheel alignment? Maybe they were already planning those repairs? Don't go there. read more

I would NOT recommend this garage. Over Priced and NOT GOOD WORK. They broke a part on my car and try to blame it other garage that worked on it 3 months early . Car run perfect NO CODES NO MISS SHIFTED GREAT. before taking it in there. Took car in for Power steering pump and oil leak.. As soon as we left with the vehicle. It was stalling and not running right or shifting. They wanted MORE money to fix the problem for a part they broke and caused it to run poorly. read more

These guys are amazing. Not only is the work good. But I've seen give customers breaks in Situations where a more expensive version of a part had to be used. I brought it there when I had a tire valve issue so a non appointment and they were able to take care of it soon enough for me to have for work that same day. Mark shoots you straight. I have used these guys several times for truck and car repairs. I have even drove in the lot and had them check my brakes when they were making an awful grinding noise and they got me right in to make sure I drove a safe car. I brought my car in for issues starting. I spent $400 for them to replace the main fuel line, because they said that was the issue and that it would start after replacing the line, and when I picked my car up it STILL had the exact same issues as when I dropped it off. They never called me to say they inspected my car, so when I called them asking what's going on with my car, they said they couldn't find my key and were clueless before admitting they lost my key, then I had to call a second time to ask why they still hadn't fixed my car two days later. Then when I called to inform the guy that the issue wasn't fixed he got extremely aggressive with me Over the phone and refused to do anything to fix the problem. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more
