I was told I had to join in order to reserve the court. The courts were horrible and there was a clinic for young children going on so the noise was outrageous. It was a painful experience to play there. The desk was too busy on my way out and I forgot to end my membership. I had it on automatic pay. I called eventually and was told I had to write and email in order to cancel. I did so, and now I receive another monthly charge. I know I was stupid in signing up in the first place. Just know that this is not a place to play tennis and that there is a hard sales pitch to join.

It is stocked at times, so be sure to bring a fishing pole for the kids. They have large fields, playgrounds, tennis courts and more. Fast forward to me attending summer camp every year with Venus and Fred until I was in high school. I attended Roy C. Ketcham High, and we had our Varsity Tennis practices there on the outside courts. As far as I know, they still conduct practices there because RCK is too cheap to build their own courts. So in that spirit, I thought I'd jot down my view of Cross Court Tennis. I spend a fair bit of time there - 2-3x/week, typically. I play in their leagues, I receive instruction from their pros, I practice. Any place you spend that much time at, you can certainly find things to nitpick and criticize. But this is the deal -- CC bills itself as the best tennis facility in the Hudson Valley, and I have to agree. I've been to pretty much every club on both sides of the river, and this is just clear as day. Lou and Ron have been singular in their focus for tennis players -- and while some members might moan, "why don't they have any gym equipment?" or somesuch other complaint about their lack of fitness diversity -- there are real, tangible benefits to CC being ONLY a tennis club. It is a tennis atmosphere. If you love the sport, I doubt you'll find better competition, better courts, or better options within a 50 mile radius. Maybe 100. My guess is that you won't find a club that matches its value for dollar spent unless you live someplace where you can play outdoors year-round. And oh yeah: I recently got my 7 year-old started on lessons. I gotta say, just seeing the kid smile constantly on a tennis court -- speaks volumes to the way CC runs its business, and where their priorities lie.

Came for the RCTA Sunset Summer Concert Series, decided to Yelp it because I couldn't find any…read morephotos of the stage or space beyond the clay tennis courts- so this is for the performance area. Location is just north of the clay courts on the grassy hill with some trees for cover and shade on the hill. Most people bring blankets because chairs are really only stable near the sidewalk or at the parking area at the top of the hill. Getting here is tricky if your map doesn't give good walking directions: GPS: 40.79786° N, 73.97636° W Arriving on foot- enter at 100th St, walk down and around a few curvy paths to find the bridge and underpass for the highway and then walk to the water and south from there to the courts. It's also possible to arrive by car in a small parking lot- but parking is limited and shared with tennis players so you'd want to arrive very early. The sound is projected into the hill; so it doesn't really travel too far beyond the picnic area and sometimes the sound team needs a little extra help, but the musicians are passionate and the scenery is lovely, so enjoy the free summer sounds and views!

I was frustrated as the coaches teach to the lowest level. Sometimes couldn't get a rally going with fellow players. Didn't work up a sweat. I sent email after email to Adam and Helen (whonis now gone) left phone messages asking if I could switch to a different group. Get a credit and do private instead. Maybe send my kids to a program and withdraw from the one that was getting me nowhere. Any compromise would have been welcome. But, no reply. Ever. It's also nearly impossible to do a makeup, they offer the opportunity last minute with few options. I

It has been going on for several weeks already, terrible service, disrespect for customers and their questions. We submitted an application for a child for a certain level, a certain day of the week and time, we chose from the list offered by the club. After the classes began, we realized that the child was put on a lower level without informing us, without conducting an evaluation. Explaining this by the fact that there is simply no place for our child. In response to my request for a refund, the management wrote back saying that this is not possible in accordance with the club's policy.
