There is such joy in pouring batter onto a waffle machine, turning it right side down, waiting three minutes, flipping it back over, and then peeling off the carby goodness! The coffee was watery and tasteless, and there was just not much else to choose from. There is a Waffle House in the parking lot, but the allure of free breakfast is a tough one to decline. The rooms are old and the paint peeling. The smell of mildew is throughout. There are few options here, and the fact that the staff is so attentive makes me think that I would choose them again in the future, if, like this time, the Holiday Inn Express down the road is full.
