I'm happy with my rug purchases! They were beautiful and fit my space perfectly!! I received a call reminding me of the age of my current mattress! Much to my surprise, it was time to purchase a new one! I asked for Tyler Martin, when I arrived! He introduced me to a great "mattress guy!" Mitch assisted me with finding the right mattress for me! Extremely poor in service. Got my order, charged for the order, scheduled the delivery and on the day of delivery just sent a partial order. No update and you are at their mercy to get an answer. Feeling cheated and disappointed. I don't understand why on earth they committed to a delivery date if they cannot fulfill it and why they don't update the customer about not able to deliver the order. The service is absolutely 1 out of 10! We have bought many pieces of furniture and any service needs are totally awful, unprofessional and unacceptable for a store of this magnitude! Come on guys let's get it together! In the past we had issues with deliveries and service. Again today service lacking. After taking time from work, the Tech no showed with no phone call after waiting 3 hours on him. We were told he was sick today. In June, my wife and I ordered a couch with an expected delivery of 6-8 weeks. By late August, having heard nothing, I called and was transferred three times before learning the fabric we chose was discontinued. Reluctantly, we selected a new fabric in early September, not our preferred choice. Six weeks later, I called again and was told delivery is now expected mid-November--over 12 weeks after reselecting fabric and more than five months since the original order. When I requested to cancel due to the excessive delays, I was told, "You can't cancel; you signed a paper." Avoid this company and all its locations. I online ordered 2 sets of Dining chairs at Mathis Home located 3434 W. Reno in Oklahoma City. I have not received any clear communication from Mathis Brothers as to when to expect my dining chairs. Originally they had an expected delivery date of ~June 26th but a few weeks after I ordered the chairs the expected delivery date disappeared. I have contacted Mathis Brothers a few times and I keep getting vague, what seem to be automated messages saying, "my order has been submitted to the manufacturer and we are just awaiting to receive the chairs" or when I check my online account through there website it just reads, "In process". This has been aggravating because originally when I ordered the product from the Mathis Brothers Home website it was listed as an Online order but it didn't specify that the product was a special order product until I had already made the purchase. In the fine print on the invoice receipt it states that it could take 12weeks. However, my question is if there is a back on this product and If there is, why is that not being communicated and especially when there was an original expected date for June that date disappears with no adjustment to the expected date of arrival. I have already paid in full at Mathis Home online for this product and the least, I should get is an honest, accurate, up to date expected arrival date for the product that I purchased. read more

*We bought a couch from Mathis Brothers and we're part of their member club too. *Couches were 2 grand and are falling apart. Couches us usually are supposed to lay about 10+ years or even more. *We called them to let them know but they told us the manufacturer was out of business and there wasn't much they can do. *Sent out an employee who made a hole in the bottom of our couches. What he was looking for? I don't know ‍ *We haven't had these couches more than a year and they're really bad quality. I can understand why the company went out of business but to get even store credit for these couches is a pain. *WARNING before you buy a mattress from this store. This review covers the result of what happened after my last review on March 2, 2026. After months and months of hassle with these people and the last LaZboy reclining sofa and loveseat being another nightmare, Mathis came and picked the sofa up to repair it (I repeat again, it was less than 3 months old and shouldn't need to be repaired.) We repeatedly asked Mathis for a refund to put an end to this nightmare but what do they care; they've got tons and tons of complaints against them so what's one more. According to the repair order; all three seat cushions were replaced and the six sections of the three backs were re-stuffed so at least it does look better than before. LaZboy must use the cheapest foam for their seat cushions because we couldn't tell a bit of difference when we got it back so it still has that sink in when we sit down and gets a little worse by the day. This is a nightmare that never ends. Our biggest mistake was not reading all the complaints on this website and on the BBB; they say it all. Our membership will not be renewed nor will be shop at Mathis ever again. read more

I went to the store talked to salesman ordered a product special order. They told me it was three weeks to deliver which it did take three weeks to deliver. When it was delivered, it was damaged and not good. I was told he was gonna take up to two or three days to repair or it could take up another week. It went 2 1/2 more weeks and the customer service guy says oh no it's supposed to be two months we can't give you any refund or help you out at anyway other than deliver your product bad customer service.! and trying to get a hold of the sales person and customer service. If I could give them negative stars I would. I paid in full $6,600 for a bed and frame in February of this year. By April a had a tech standing in my bedroom looking at it telling me it was under warranty ( witched I hoped sense i paid extra for the warranty) and that he would order the new one and have it in 3 or 4 weeks and well now its August and still nothing. Now they are telling me. Its not under warranty and I have to pay to have it fixed. I paid over $6,000 for a bed to break in less then 2 months. Yeah a waste of money for sure. The last two responses from your company to BBB denied anything but a misunderstanding. I trust you are able to check with Sylvia, your Mattress Service Manager, Jade, the manager of your Ashley Home store and your messages that were left at Mathis Home on five occasions from your mattress service and us. To date the $799.99 that was double charged for the protection plan, the $139.00 charged and predated to our Ashley Home purchase for the Rewards program we were already a member of and the $ 462 charged for the Elite Delivery that clearly states included on our contract, have not been repaid. Your salesman and manager clearly stated that these were included. Your Mattress Manager and the Ashley Home Manager both said that they credited the $799.99 back in June. We ordered a bedroom furniture on 5/30/25, headboard was not the correct one. Cannot get a manager to answer the phone or return a phone call to explain why they delivered the wrong headboard and when they will deliver the correct piece of furniture. We did not order the furniture protection for the items bought but was charger for it. Con into the financing the furniture that we did not want but only way to get the pricing and the charger an additional $139.00 for Mathis rewards. Depending on how things turn out I'll upgrade the review. We purchased a power reclining Bernhardt Germaine sofa from the "as is" clearance center. We tried it out on the floor with the sales person and everything was fine, the delivery person tried after delivery; however, the first time I sat on it the right side recliner did not work. Immediately called and reported the problem. Mr King, the sales manager returned our call, told us to come in and choose another sofa. He was kind, professionaland provided excellent customer service. On 13 Dec 25, we chose the same sofa from the show room floor, it too was "as is", we discussed with Mr King the reason it was as is was because of the color, the new model was a different shade. Mr King explained we would be getting the show room floor model, BUT, THE ONLY thing wrong was the color. However, the sofa they tried to deliver was horribly damaged with scratches and it looked like someone had rubbed it with sandpiper, we refused delivery and are waiting on a call from Mathis Bro. There is no way they would have had the sofa they tried to deliver, with all that damage, on the showroom floor. read more

We actually went to the Ashley store on Memorial Rd in the beginning.... Was somewhat satisfied, till our furniture got there ..... There was an indent in the arm of the couch, then the next one that was brought out it had a huge gap between the top pillows, which is the back of the couch, then the last couch that came out had not only a indent in the same arm, but the gap too.... I called Mathis Bros as soon as I got done with the delivery guys... Then the man I talked to had suggested we come in and check out what you did have in the distribution center, only had 2, both were not in great shape..... Both of them had the exact same thing wrong with them.... So then we decided to go in the store and look around, didn't find anything till we came across the Ashley's you have on W. Reno..... The lady named Ana Afaghpour was helping us.... We finally settled with the one set that my husband selected ... And she was able to get everything done to where didnt have any extra money coming out...... She went above and BEYOND to get us what we needed.... You need more sales people like her..... BUYER BEWARE! Bought a living room set, some couches from Ashley and a recliner from the Mathis Outlet. DO NOT PURCHASE any add on warranties because they will find a reason not to honor them! I have never been done wrong by any furniture store ever but they filled the bill on this one. The fabric on my 1500.00 Lazy Boy recliner is very low quality, after 6 months on the foot stool and part of the seat cushion it has rubbed through and they claim it is pet damage, they couldn't be more wrong! They will not do absolutely anything about it. I knew not to buy the extra warranties but I did so I deserve this I have concluded! Purchased a secretary desk and lateral file cabinet on May 6, 2023. Received furniture on June 29, 2023. The drawers on the file cabinet did not operate correctly. The MB driver advised they would report the issue when they returned to the store and a new lateral file would be brought out to replace the broken one. I waited 2 weeks and did not hear anything. Then I called MB customer service. I was told that my order was a 'custom' order so a return/ exchange was not possible. 'Custom' to MB means anything that is not on the floor or in the warehouse. The desk and lateral file are made by Hooker. They are only 'custom' to Mathis Brothers! My only option is to have a Service Tech fix the non-working drawers. On July 20, 2023, MB sent a Service Tech to my home to fix the drawers. He was unable to fix it and said he would order parts and come back out with another Tech to do the repair. Called MB Customer Service on August 15, 2023, the rep said she would check on the estimated parts arrival and call me back. Received no call. Called MB Customer Service on August 21, 2023 and once again the rep said she would call with the estimated parts arrival date. This time she did call back on August 22 and advised that the parts are scheduled to arrive on September 7, 2023. Additionally, she scheduled the in home repair for September 8, 2023. I've rated MB with 1 Star because of their poor communication with the customer. I actually needed the furniture I ordered. If I would have known that it would take 7.5 weeks to receive the furniture plus 3 weeks to have a Service Tech assess the damage plus 7.5 weeks for the parts to be received for a total of 4.5 months, I probably could have found something at Edmond Furniture Gallery off the floor or actually ordered 'custom' furniture from Haggards! I'm not saying I won't shop MB because of the convenience, but I am saying if I don't find what I'm looking for, I will spend a little more time looking at my other options here in OKC and Edmond. read more

This was by far the worst service I've received. First we were not told when our bed went on back order after we purchased it. The chest showed up ONLY (defective). So we were sleeping on the floor for weeks until the bed came in. Then when we finally get our bed it was the wrong bed. Then we received the right bed and this bed had missing hardware so now sleeping on floor again. Also the delivery guy made a discourteous comment and poor manners while using our family restroom. While all this going on we had to call customer service instead of them calling us. We spoke with the customer service and dealt with Roberto and Jeremy while the manager was out and they were the ONLY two making an effort to make up for lack of communication and bad service. I appreciate Jeremy doing what he can on his side but still wanted to talk to the manager. I had to call Logan the manager multiple times for her to get back to me, she was not empathetic to our situation. She was telling me to understand her part as a business manager that she couldn't accommodate us for our inconvenience. We are spending quality money and we expect quality items and service and it has been nothing but a nightmare. read more

**Update below original review** Extremely disappointed. My purchase arrived broken, not as shown on the floor in the store. They did agree to come replace the broken portion, which happened, but after the first night, we realized that there was no way this would work for us. Company "required" us to sleep on the horrible product for 30 days with a verbal statement of how the manager would want us to be happy and would work with us if the product didn't work. We continued to dislike the product for 30 days and called. We were told that we would be contacted within 24-48 hrs. This did not happen. I can't help but believe that this is the whole game...sell bad products, then avoid contact with the customer when they complain and hope they go away. By the way, this is also on the Mathis Brothers main store/main company since that is where the manager apparently works. I do not ever plan to shop here again. Not holding my breath that this will ever be worked out, I am assuming this was a lesson learned and total loss for us. *Update* I am updating this review from a 1 star review to a 3 star review. We did hear from the manager, Robert. I would say, once Robert and I started corresponding (phone and text) he was able to help out enough that my wife and I now have a bed that is comfortable, and we even used our gift cards (part of the sale deal when making our original purchase) to get a headboard/footboard which was delivered and setup at our house. Overall, here are some highlights and lowlights of our experience with Mathis. Highlights: Once the manager (Robert) became involved, he was able to make common sense "exceptions to policy" where appropriate to help us resolve our situation. I felt he went out of his way to assist us. He gets 5 stars. The delivery "system" seems to work better than most. I liked the frequent communication (at time of scheduling, then just before arrival, then they check in with you after delivery asking how everything went). Lowlights: I take 50% of the blame here, but I let myself get sold into an item we had not come to the store to purchase. We came for a normal mattress and originally bought a "split king." One of our big issues, was the split king we received (which is basically just two XL twin mattresses) did not appear like the one in the store, there was a large gap inbetween the mattresses as opposed to the almost seemless one in the store. We knew after the first night that it wasn't going to work. Lessons learned...split kings are not for us (and I would almost never recommend them), and if you are being "sold something" you didn't come to buy, wait a night or two before making the decision. Delivery minor items: Great scheduling, but...when it is raining outside, prepare the drivers that they will need to remove shoes once inside the house. Our first delivery had a broken part...that was bad, but they quickly scheduled a replacement, so that was good. Our last delivery (headboard/footboard) the drivers put it together wrong (running board upside down) and left some bolts out of the assembly (easily fixed myself, but if you don't have tools...take a good look at everything before they go!). Communication: I honestly thing the reception folks need better training/empowerment to pass along issues to the manager earlier. We would have had a much better overall experience (and probably been on our new bed a month longer) if they were trained to understand that our situation was likely an exception to policy AND if they were empowered to pass this on to the manager earlier. Also, once the 30 days were up, there were communication issues initially which delayed the manager in contacting us and ultimately led to my first 1 star review. I now feel like I would cautiously shop with Mathis again. If I had issues though, I would physically go to the store and track down the manager for resolution of my problems! read more

New sales person sucked! Didn't know product, didn't know computer system, took FOREVER to check out and then information was wrong. Delivery of $4200 order got canceled and manager of store said it would be next day. Then wouldn't provide any kind of time frame for delivery. Absolutely clueless with customer service or how to handle issues with what they caused. So, apparently they expect us to sit home all day because they can't give us any idea if we are first or 50th on the delivery schedule. Would cancel but can't get it faster from competitor or we would have! Absolutely the worst experience and will not plan to do business here in the future. We called four times to get delivery information but it did arrive within the window they specified. However, no one told us we had items on backorder so yet again...another terrible disappointment. Called manager and although he was handling the entire messed up delivery situation, he stated, "I wasn't involved in that part." So, we are still waiting for some vital pieces to put our beds together that could be one week or maybe two since they are getting transferred from Tulsa. Had we known what we do now, we would have walked out and did business next door at Bob Mills where we could have chosen in stock items and not had to wait or have the headache of this horrible experience. In addition, new sales people do deserve a break but our entire ticket was looked over by a 7 year veteran / manager of Mathis Brothers (so he claimed) and the ticket was still utterly messed up. When we did our last purchase Mathis Home recommended getting their membership. It was our understanding that renewing it would be at our choice. The rules on their own website state "Primary Members will not receive a renewal notice, unless enrolled in the Auto Renew Program, and then a renewal notice will be provided only email. " We did not get an email, looking back it was not in our junk inbox or anywhere. We received a text at 10:30pm Saturday night during Memorial Day weekend while we were on travel. The text from our credit card company said their was a $139 charge to our account. Having been a year we had know idea about this charge. Our credit card company recommended canceling the card because we did not recognize the charge. This was a big inconvenience since we were on travel and this is our primary credit card. Advise Mathis stick to their own rules and give customers an appropriate notice. read more

My fiance and I decided to spend our day off looking at Ottomans just to get an idea of what we're looking for. We ended up having a truly awful experience and don't ever plan on returning. Not because the product selection was bad, but because of the staff. You couldn't walk 5 feet in that store or look slightly in a different direction without being hounded by a salesperson. They were quite condescending and rude at times, I was wearing a scarf from Seattle. And a salesman even yelled at me and said "oh Seattle! Been there once, rainy hated it!" I'm no expert, but I'd say insulting where I'm from is a bad way to make a sale, especially when I'm already annoyed at being approached every 90 seconds. Good luck just browsing. I purchased a recliner for my mom on 12/13|24 for a Christmas gift. She didn't like it so I called today about an exchange. The lady said we don't exchange nor refund after 7 days. I have been a customer for ovet 20 years but that has ceased. Customer satisfaction especially during Christmas should be the top priority. Unfortunately, money is the driving force now. We walked in to Mathis Brothers this morning, looking for a couch that was in stock and one we could have delivered ASAP, as Bob Mills has lied to us about delivering a couch we purchased for the last five weeks. We told our sales associate, Donna (highly recommend), that we wanted a couch that was IN STOCK. Donna told us what they had and took us around the showroom. Purchased a table and after getting it home i noticed a stain blemishes and a raised are on the top of the table. Because i picked ip the table i didn't want to go through the trouble to return it. But when i tried to use the leaf it would not completely close and line up. So i decided to return it. I paid the $99 for Mathis Brothers to pick up and bring another table. I received the return window of 11-2, they showed up 30 minutes early so i could not get home and my son received the table. The table had one insufficient blemish but also had what looked like a long hair from a paint brush under the finish. This was the a deal breaker. Called again and went through the same process. And scheduled another table exchange. When they return they brought the original table back to me. And it still had food on top that i was unable to clean because they came early. Now on table number 4 and it has damage to the leaf. Avoid at all cost, they will pass off used tables as new. read more

Finally got a wonderful woman on the Mathis side of the store who reviewed my account and had no clue why my furniture was not delivered to my home, then had it delivered next day. I love my furniture choice I just can never vouch for Ashley or Mathis due to the horrible experience. I gave the company 2 stars for the woman who finally resolved the issue. We reached out to see about their return policy and was told we would have to contact a third-party vendor even though we ordered through the Mathis website. Be very aware when you purchase something on their website whether they will stand behind it locally or if you will have to reach out to another country to see about getting a refund. Finally we were advised the chair was in the warehouse (no call from them..ME FOLLOWING U[), only to be told we would OWE MORE MONEY. We have a quote and paid accordingly. One manager did waive the balance (should never have been a balance) but now others refuse. Call after call goes unanswered. Sure!!! Let's just ADD A BALANCE to a quote that was previously PAID IN FULL. At one point we were advised someone had CANCELLED THE ORDER. No worries for them. STAY AWAY. TERRIBLE. NOT FRIENDLY.
