I had an old account on Yelp where my original review gave them five stars. Sad to say, I have had to demote them to one star, and here is why. We first went to Mathis Brothers back in February of 2012. My husband had to esophageal surgery a few months before, and the surgeon recommended that he start sleeping on a recliner for a few months to minimize the possibility of contracting aspiration pneumonia while his esophagus and stomach healed. When we walked in the door, we were approached by a salesman who turned out to be friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. On that day we also purchased a mattress and paid for them with a credit card. We were told the furniture would be delivered within two days and that someone would call the next day with a time frame. When we did not hear from the store, we called on the expected day of delivery and were told that the merchandise would not be delivered until we paid for the mattress. I told them that we indeed had paid for everything, and the rep we talked to told us we had to bring our receipt to the store and show them as proof. Needless to say, I was pretty angry. When we got to the store, we asked to speak to a manager, who happened to be standing at the reception desk. I told her what had happened, and she apologized, stating that they had computer problems the day after we made our purchase and that some of the credit card sales had gotten messed up. She promised us immediate delivery and also discounted the recliner about another 40%, which was then credited back to our Visa card. Everything was fine and dandy with the recliner for not quite six months, when the recliner broke, and we called about getting someone out there to either repair or replace the chair, since we had purchased a $70 furniture protection plan as well. Once again, the store did not meet their commitment time and we had to return to the store and speak with someone in person. When they finally came to our house, they replaced the chair with no major issues, but then THAT recliner broke less than a year after it was replaced! I should also note that this chair was sold to us with the understanding that it would hold a 250 lb. adult with no problem. My husband weighs about 215 lbs. and I am well under that. This time, we were given absolutely NO SERVICE over the phone, and so we went into the store yet again, this time on a Sunday. We were greeted with ignorance, ambivalence, and downright rudeness by three employees, with the rudeness coming from the sales manager. So we went back into the store the following Monday and asked to speak with the manager. We were given her executive assistant, who was more than helpful. The next day we had someone out to repair the recliner. Once again, the chair broke down about three days before the furniture protection plan expired. We had to make yet another trip to the store to get someone to take us seriously. They came and picked up the chair and took it back to the store, but we heard nothing from them for about a week, so hubby made another trip to the warehouse, and we got the chair back the same day. This time, the chair broke in less than a week! Since the protection plan had already expired, but the repair had been made while still valid. I emailed both the GM of the store and her assistant. I find it interesting that I got no reply from either of them until I had sent copies of all the emails and the whole story to their corporate office in Oklahoma. I did get two calls from the store after contacting corporate, and now they seem to be willing to make reparations, but my husband went to the hardware store and bought some case-hardened nuts and bolts and fixed the problem himself. I hate to say it, but after all the hassles we've had with this company, we will probably never buy another item from them again. read more

If I could put zero stars, I would! I bought 2 couches and 2 recliners. The furniture is fine. I really like it, but I will NEVER purchase anything from Mathis Brothers again and this is why. The couches were ordered as they were on the floor. The recliners were special orders from La-z-boy. The purchasing of these items was the nightmare. The different departments have no clue what the other ones are doing. I originally bought a couch and a Love seat. When they were delivered I realized I had room for 2 couches. They were delivered on a Saturday. I called that day and spoke to the sales person who handled my order. I told him I wanted to exchange the love seat and get a second couch. He told me they would deliver the second couch and pick up the love seat on the same day. I was told by the salesman they would refund the cost of the love seat, apply it to the purchase of the second couch and I would have to pay the difference. The following Tuesday they came to my house and took the love seat, but did not deliver the couch. I called again and spoke to the same sales person. He tells me he will check on it and get back to me. I waited for over two weeks and he didn't call. Before all this happened I had ordered the recliners a week after I purchased the couches, because I couldn't decide on a fabric. I ordered two, but only one recliner was ordered. Now I'm told they won't be delivered at the same time. Since I hadn't heard back from my salesman I called and to find out when I would get my couch and was transferred to accounts receivable. I was told at that time my first recliner was in and they could deliver it with my couch. I gave them my credit card information to pay the balance on the couch and the recliner. She also set up a delivery date. I thought everything would go smoothly, but I was wrong. The day of the delivery I called to get a more exact delivery time. I was told they were only delivering the recliner. So again I call Mathis Brothers. This time I'm told they weren't delivering that couch, because I hadn't paid the balance owed. After being transferred to several different people I was told the girl that took my payment applied the money for the couch to the balance still owed on the second recliner. By now, as you can imagine,I am extremely upset. I told someone there to get it straightened out and my couch better be on that delivery truck. The couch was delivered along with the first recliner as scheduled, but if I hadn't called to check on the delivery I don't know how long it would have been until the whole mess was straightened out. After all of this has taken place I got a call from Mathis Brothers wanting to know what I wanted to do with the refund of the love seat. Did I want it back on my credit card or did I want it to be applied to the balance of the second recliner that was still in production. Are you kidding me! What is the matter with you people. The refund had already been applied to the second couch. The second recliner was delivered without incident, but what a disaster the rest of it was. The furniture is priced reasonably, but all the headaches I had to go through to get it is why I will never buy from Mathis Brothers again. As a side note, my friend picked out a chair from Mathis Brothers. She paid for it and took it home all in the same day. Three months later Mathis Brothers called her to let her know her chair was in and when could she pick it up and pay for it. I was a going to be a new customer to Mathis Brothers. Unfortunately, they are practicing deception and very poor customer service at every level. DO NOT believe the Lowest Price Guarantee! They word it deceptively. Here's the real clear definition of the price guarantee. "Only if the price is from a brick and mortar store within 50 miles from (Ontario) the physical store location will they guarantee the price. Their deceptive price guarantee language does not specifically state it must be brick and mortar, however that's exactly what it should say to be clear for customers. They will not honor the price guarantee according to Natalie, even if they are drop shipping an item from a manufacturer like other online stores. They refuse to honor the price guarantee. Next issue, calling the "Expert Help # 855 phone number pop up from their online website will glean you a phone ringing more than 20 times for someone to answer, and no one does. Calling the Ontario store will also get you no answer for twenty times too. After waiting more than 20 rings, the Receptionist is condescending when asking to speak with sales. I spoke with Dawn, a supposed sales person that was too lazy to verify if an item I wanted to purchase, that showed online as "in stock" was actually in stock, because it was being drop shipped from the manuf. and physically in stock at the store. She was too lazy to do it. She gave me an attitude! I was asking to much according to her because her manager said if it shows in stock, it is and she didn't need to check it! However, when I asked for a manager, I was transferred to Natalie. She had great difficulty being a good listener. No soft skills whatsoever! Natalie, said the item was actually "out of stock" even though it showed "in stock" online and it would not be in stock until 5 days from the day I wanted to purchase it. (This is why you must verify if an item is really in stock because so many merchants lie online to make you purchase and then send you a back order notice after the sale.) This causes your credit card to be locked up for the price of an item authorized but not available to ship. Be careful with Mathis Brothers, in fact I don't recommend you buy from them as they practice deceptive advertising, poor Customer Service and fail at transparency. They're severely deficient within their business practices. What a disappointment! No wonder they have to spend so much on advertising! They're loosing business due to their poor business practices . I tried to ignore the bad reviews on yelp and other sites and go for my own experience. I now know to trust the bad reviews. Mathis Brothers has earned it! read more

one mistake after another leads to me having to take a 4th day off work just to receive a bedroom set! Saturday my wife and i picked out a bedroom set for monday delivery. this is perfect because we have our sleep number bed setup scheduled for tuesday night. the smart bed needs to be setup because we were told mathis brothers delivery will not move it. we get a call saying it will have to be delivered tuesday because monday is full. ok i understand it happens. so i take tuesday off work. monday night we get a call saying they screwed up they will not be able to deliver until wednesday. this is a big problem as sleep number wouldnt be able to come out for another 2 weeks. i met with the sales manager josh who came up with a solution to pick up the head board and footboard ourselves and assemble, then receive the rest of the furniture wednesday. so i left work early tuesday waited over an hour for them to load my work truck. went to assemble and the provided bolts are the wrong size. luckily i had just enough time to go buy the proper bolts from a nearby home depot. (also the crown piece for the head board is warped and bolt holes do not line up so that is currently on the floor next to the bed) still in good spirits the warranty department will take care of it. i took another day off of work wednesday to receive the delivery since they cant give me even a general delivery window. i called mid day to see if they had an approximate arrival time only to be told AGAIN the furniture did not make it on the truck and now will not arrive until thursday. this means another day off of work. i am being told by ontario customer service there is nothing they can do. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER. i have asked if there is a customer retention or relation department i can talk to and was told no. i have been a loyal customer to mathis brothers for years now. i am also a fire restoration contractor who constantly refers mathis brothers to customers who have an entire house they need to refurnish, nobody at mathis brothers seems to care. passed from one department to the next. everyone says the same thing. "its a different department, they dropped the ball, sorry nothing i can do" at this point i am ready to drop off the bedframe and take my business elsewhere read more

Hello everyone, My name is Stacy. I downloaded this app almost a month ago, but didn't finish my review. I wanted to share my experience when visiting Mathis Brothers. During my birthday mom and dad surprised me by taking me to look at sofas. I don't know anything about furniture and was overwhelmed when walking into this store, bring comfortable shoes it's massive, lol. We were greeted by a gentleman by the name "King". You'll know who he is when he shakes your hand! We were treated like royalty and he got to know all of our names. We were treated with respect, talked about my birthday, plans for the weekend, and his affinity for pets. I described what was important to me and he listened. During several hours we sat on almost every sofa and King discussed information regarding warranties, financing, and even accident protection services. OMG, this man did his job with enthusiasm! He was amazing and if he didn't know the answer to my 1 million questions he simply said, 'I don't know, but I can find out!" King never left our side and was very patient. We had to leave momentarily and returned by scheduling an appointment later that day. Upon arrival we selected our sofa and he didn't leave us until the end. After the cashier took our payment King sat down with us and explained in detail what our extended furniture service plan did and didn't cover. He circled the phone number and explained who to call in the event of an accident. I was leary about the benefits regarding the membership, but King thoroughly discussed how it would benefit us not only today but for an entire year. My birthday was great, but I'll always remember the level of service provided by this man. It let's me further know that Mathis Brothers treats their employees very well and they are trained correctly. This was the absolute best customer service experience I've ever had. He definitely left a mark on us and we wish every establishment had employees like him. His level of service went above and beyond and he was determined to answer all our concerns. King treated us like we were the only customers in the world. read more

Where to start. I ordered furniture in September, special order. Picked out the fabric for bed and showed the sales man exactly what bed I wanted., actually stood by the bed while picked out fabric and while he wrote up the order. Did not mind waiting 3 mos as he said there was a wait, WELL**********Last week, the bed came in.. First let me start by saying the fabric on the bed was wrong, it had 1 fabric on headboard and a different fabric on footboard and sideboards . and- the bed was written up wrong, the wrong bed was ordered.. foot board had smudges on it.. The bed was not even the bed in the showroom, not even the bed I wanted. Clearly the salesman pulled up the first thing he saw in computer and wrote up the wrong item number. Delivery guy tried lying and telling me thats how it comes and that the fabric was correct. I am sorry, pictures attached.. Sorry not my first Rodeo., I have special ordered in the past .. Also had a couch delivered with broken foot. Called customer service to tell them and I was going to refuse items and have them take back, but rep said that there was no invoice yet to correct, so keep everything and email her the pictures etc..and all would be taken care of, clearly because it was the holiday week. well a week has gone by and no answer or reply from sales manager. I have purchased over 10,000.00 worth of furniture and there customer service is horrible, I now am having to go up to the store to deal with in person, I will update post after taking with general and sales manager, . Did not think I would have to take any other action, but i will take action if not corrected or made right... Talking the the BBB as I type this.... The customer is not at fault for salesman writing up wrong order, or not writing it correctly and ordering wrong information.. This needs to be returned and corrected, either refund completely or order new bed correctly.. When a customer comes into a store to purchase something and the mistake is on the stores end, it should be corrected. So sad that we can't give this place a "0" review because Yelp won't allow it. First of all 2 weeks ago I bought the purple harmony tall pillow. Mathis has a new " covid" protocol where you can only pick up on certain day. Today I wanted the same pillow for my wife, I walked in at 11:24 where Christopher Roldan charged me for the wrong pillow. He asked me to proceed to the " pick up" location for a freaking pillow! So I said okay because 2 weeks ago when I bought the same pillow it took me less than 10 minutes. So I waited 45 minutes just to find out they charged me for the wrong one! He said no problem, I'll come back once I get back to your sales rep ! After 14 minutes he told me I had to meet Sean at the front because something was wrong! They charged me for a pillow they didn't have, they try to tell me they would compensate 10% of the price and that I wouldn't get the pillow till 4/11 when it would be available! Their sales reps are rookies who don't know crap! They charged me for the wrong item after I told them I had been there 2 weeks ago and purchased the right item and all they had to do was replicate the order! The manager told me after an hour was the he could give me a 10 percent discount ! At $159 pillow that's $16 off! Minimum wage is almost that! Why is his hourly rate different than mine? I asked him to refund me the money and give me the other pillow he had available for free and he said he couldn't because me waiting an hour wasn't worth $160 an hour without him knowing what I could be potentially be making hourly based on my job! Stay way from this place! Covid has gotten everyone so paranoid that waiting for a pillow on pick up days is worth waiting for an hour! Sean was the manager who all he could say was " sorry for your experience but your time is only worth 10%" Christopher Roldan should be train properly before he charges people for the wrong item and expect them to be waiting for the item even though they didn't have it and make excuses as to why he still charged me for the wrong item! HIGHEST COMMENDATION FOR SALESMAN, JAMES HICKS AT ONTARIO MATHES BROTHERS FURNITURE STORE # 59 ON Memorial day 2022, i was shopping for ( 4 ) couches and ( 7 ) dining room chairs and ( 1 ) side table for my home. i had shopped all the furniture stores in the Ontario area without success. I arrived at Mathis Brothers store # 59 in Ontario and met salesman, James Hicks, to help me with my furniture purchase. James Hicks welcomed me at the front door and we went right to the business of selecting ( 4 ) sofas and ( 7 ) dinning room chairs and ( 1 ) side table. We discussed the solid , fair prices and the availability of the furniture, as well as the warranties. I noticed all the salesmen and sales women were well dressed, Polite, knowledgeable and experienced about the furniture they were selling. James Hicks helped me through the entire selection process. Before we proceeded to the cashier, I began feeling weak, sweating, dizzy and my balance was poor. I told James, I am not doing well. I took my insulin this morning and failed to eat anything, my bad. I am diabetic and, I recognize these symptoms as being low blood sugar. I told James that before I check out at the cashier, I have to sit down and eat something and drink orange juice or something sweet until, I feel better. James had lunch with me at the restaurant inside Mathis Brothers and the manager fixed us two great sandwiches. I was glad to pay for our lunches. I also explained to James's manager what my situation was. I would also like to thank James for being adept and recognizing that I had a medical problem and how to fix it. I like to keep my problems on the down, low, no drama. After I felt better, we proceeded to the cashier to pay my bill in full, cash. I would like to thank, Mathis Brothers for hiring professional, knowledgeable, considerate, polite sales personnel with excellent people skills and outstanding communication skills. What an awesome experience! First the showroom is huge, well defined, easy to get around (even for someone who is in a wheelchair) and very clean. Second, the employees are very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. My mother is using a walker / wheelchair and we went to buy her a new couch. We'd just come from Ashley Furniture in Eastland (don't get me started on THAT place) and were hoping for a lot more. Boy did we get it! Paul Silverstone was our customer rep and he was perfect! He listened to what we wanted vs. what we needed and took us right to some great sofas. By the third one we had found what we wanted and were done! No haggling, no fussing, no showing us things that we didn't want or need because he might get a better commission out of us.. he was perfect! He helped my Mom, cheered us on and in the end she was so happy with her new sofa she actually giggled all the way back to San Dimas. Paul made sure that we had our free cleaning kit (we'd walked away without it and he chased us down before we left) instead of just letting it go and shrugging his shoulders; I personally will go back to Paul for each and every piece of furniture purchased in the future. Several of the other employees there were friendly and nice even though we weren't their customer. I would highly recommend this store for anything and everything you want to add to your home, apartment, trailer or whatever you live in. They have competitive pricing (Blows Ashley's prices out of the water), wonderful customer reps, fantastic American Made products .. they even have a Sidewalk Cafe with really yummy looking food and drink. All in all, this was a very positive experience for both myself and my Mom and we have Paul Silverstone to thank for that. Because of Paul, how wonderful the showroom is, the good prices and the huge variety available Mathis Brothers of Ontario CA have just secured two life-time customers. After walking out of Ashley Furniture in Montclair for their lack of service, I went to Ontario in search of a double recliner. I arrived at Mathis Brothers and my newest buddy, Derrick Johnson, showed me the full plethora of different models. Once he explained the virtues of Lazy Boy I decided on that brand, but it still took me a while to make up my mind; Derrick hung in like a champ. I made up my mind on a single instead of a double and left with his business card in my hand. (Had to pick up the grandchildren from school.) I came back the next day and changed my mind again... I found another one I liked better that Derrick had recommended. Enough is enough. Finally, I let him write up the order and got it loaded in my van and headed home, got it unloaded and set up. Sigh! A couple days later I realized there was a problem with the footrest and called Derrick who gave me the phone number and said i'd need to contact customer service. This is where the whole sales process began to break down. I bought the recliner in Ontario because I happened to be in town, but the recliner was now "living" in Palm Springs which is closer to the Indio store. I called Ontario customer (lack of) service, explained my situation and was told to contact the Indio store and then referred back again to Ontario. Forty minutes later when I was finally told I would need to pay $80 to have my defective purchase picked up and replaced, I clarified that I would be required to "pay" for returning a defective product? Amazed at that information, I responded, "That is absurd" which pretty much left that clerk speechless. She told me I could call my salesman. Needless to say, I reached Derrick who promised he'd get back to me after the Memorial Day Holiday. Short story: My replacement chair was delivered on Wednesday and there was no charge. Derrick is the one who deserves the 5 Star rating. Customer (lack of) service deserves none. Kudos to Mr. Johnson. read more

I spent 6 hours one Saturday and went to 5 different furniture stores before returning to Mathis Brothers to buy a sofa the following weekend. They had a terrific selection, with many different styles, and even though I was extremely picky I found a great sofa for a decent price. This can be a challenge for me since I'm 6' 4" and 235 lbs. It was even in stock and was delivered the next day! My experience with their sales people was fine, although they will grab you coming in the door if you let them. But that's to be expected from any sales driven industry. I declined the initial Sales Reps and spent about an hour looking around before I decided to buy. Then I found Roya, who was just the most awesome sales person I could've asked for... She was patient, helpful, and you couldn't ask for a more enjoyable person to roam around with trying to find the perfect piece. She helped me decide between multiple options and after talking I felt she could help with picking out a rug too. We went to the rug department where she and one of their specialists helped me choose a rug that went well with the sofa and was actually on sale for a great price. They hauled an ottoman over to the rug to compare at first, then hauled the rug over to the sofa to compare with the ottoman as well. It really helped to see the items together and I decided to buy all three. The finance department was also very helpful and I decided to put the rug on store credit just to spread out some of the cost. While I could tell she was new, Maria was very friendly and handled my questions about financing like a pro. While I'm not the youngest guy on the block, this is actually the first time I've ever bought a brand new sofa for myself. I had also been hunting for a well made rug (that wouldn't cost thousands of dollars) for a few years as well. So all in all I have to say my experience with Roya, Maria and Mathis Brothers as a whole was pretty great. read more

My husband and I walked into the Mathis Brothers store in Ontario about 6 months before we could actually buy our new sofas. We got a fellow named Scott Mollett, who couldn't have been nicer or more informative. We had purchased what we thought were leather sofas at Living Spaces about 3 years previously, but after a couple of years of normal use, the outside of the "leather" began to peel off. In some places it came off in very small pieces and in others in large chunks. We were very disappointed to say the least. Scott educated us about the difference between real leather and "bonded" leather, which neither Living Spaces nor the manufacturer would do anything about. We explained to Scott that we were a little gun shy about buying leather again, but he spent a lot of time walking us around the store and reassuring us about the quality and virtues of real leather. We trusted his expertise, and his integrity was obvious, so we chose some sofas that we hoped would still be available when we were ready to actually buy. Throughout the process of waiting until we were ready to buy, Scott was available to us whether we were on the phone of revisiting the store. When we finally got our sofa and love seat into our home, we found that the shade of the leather did not match our decor as we thought it would. But Scott was calm and told us that he would help us find sofas that would match, which he did. These turned out to be our dream sofas, and we probably wouldn't have found them without Scott's guidance, as there are so many choices that it is a little overwhelming. All in all, Scott was with us through the entire process, and we can't thank him enough! Being in our late 60s, we've bought plenty of furniture over the years, but this was our best experience ever! So thank you Mathis Brothers for the quality of your reasonably priced furniture, and thank you Scott for having our backs. read more

After reading all of the bad press on this site about Matthis Brothers (MB), I was leery about shopping there. What made me give them a try is the scarcity of fine furniture stores. A sales rep from a competitor told me that MB was one of the few places left that warehouses the grade of furniture I was looking for. My experience confirmed he was right. Fine furniture stores are hard to find. By "fine" I mean a grade above what you might find at Living Spaces (which is another store I would classify as a scare commodity). I called MB, asked for a manager and was frank about the bad press and my hesitations. He naturally defended his store and assured me my experience would be a positive one. He asked Stephanie Oyler to assist me. I'm thrilled to say they exceeded my expectations! I bought a 60" round Bernhardt dining set on a Saturday. The entire set was delivered in excellent condition and installed in my dining room within 48 hours. This is better than the service I've gotten from Living Spaces - which in my view has honed Customer Service to a science. If you're willing to spend a little more for quality, give these guys a try. Be generous with your review if you're satisfied. They're providing a service which I fear won't be around for very long. I don't know what happened to the furniture business but we used to have a range of stores to choose from (Levitz comes to mind) but they're gone now. One last comment - and no, they didn't pay me - I knew what set I wanted and called a number of distributors from the manufacturer's website (Bernhardt). MOST were gone out of business. And the few that were still operational had the set priced hundreds of dollars higher. MB is large enough to get a volume discount, some of which is apparently passed onto the customer. My experience and research supports that these guys are the best game in town for what they do. read more

I recently had a disappointing experience with the furniture protection plan offered by Mathis Brothers, and I feel compelled to share my frustration. While I acknowledge my responsibility for not thoroughly reviewing the terms and conditions, the misleading information provided by the salesperson is equally to blame. However, during the pick-up process, my husband was coerced into buying it, reassured that any damage over the next five years would be covered - a claim that has proven to be far from the truth. Recently, the wood top of my dining table started bubbling and chipping, prompting me to file a claim under the premium protection plan. To my dismay, Mathis Brothers denied my claim, stating that such damage is not warrantyable. Only now, after the fact, have I taken the time to carefully read the terms and conditions. It turns out that only minor cosmetic damage, like a nail polish stain, is covered. The salesperson failed to mention this crucial detail during the purchase process. My disappointment doesn't stem from the denial of my claim; it comes from the misleading tactics employed by the sales team. Promising customers that the protection plan covers any damage within five years while burying the actual limitations in fine print is deceptive and unethical. I caution potential buyers to be wary of such practices and to thoroughly scrutinize the terms and conditions before succumbing to pressure from Mathis Brothers' sales team. In conclusion, my experience with Mathis Brothers' furniture protection plan has left me disillusioned and dissatisfied. The company should prioritize transparency and honesty in their sales practices rather than relying on misleading tactics to push unnecessary protection plans onto unsuspecting customers. read more

We spent over $13,000 on a mirrored dining table from Mathis Brothers and have had nothing but issues from the beginning. We initially raised concerns about the scratches a few months after our purchase . Shortly after, the table began scratching under extremely minimal use -- and I want to be clear, this wasn't from misuse. The scratches are happening simply from wiping the surface with a soft cloth. Our claim was denied and we were told it was due to "improper cleaning," even though no care instructions were provided at the time of purchase. (This is where they dropped the ball and we felt extremely neglected). After finally receiving their cleaning guidelines, we followed them exactly -- and the table STILL scratches during normal cleaning. We have only used this table about five times for light, intimate dining. A $13,000 table should not scratch from basic cleaning. That is not normal wear and tear -- that is a product defect. What made this experience worse was how it was handled/ how I was handled and how rude I was spoken to. A store manager told us to "just buy a new one" and to "do what you have to do." We were also told the damage was "our fault" and that "something else must be going on," which was both inaccurate and honestly offensive. I couldn't believe what I was hearing..... and the end the call with "I have to end this call, I'm not going back and forth with you "...... I literally was in tears. We have furnished two homes through Mathis Brothers and have spent a significant amount with this company. This is by far the worst experience we've had. My wife and I went to Mathis Brothers to purchase a new mattress. Our Sales Representatives were Alex Mejias and Albert Montes. These gentlemen were professional, customer service oriented, and knowledgeable of the various type of mattress and ratings. We provided Alex and Albert with our preferences on the types of mattresses and how we normally sleep. They were very patient as they heard our different sleeping patterns and likings. They provided a few recommendations on the types of mattress and adjustable bed frames they felt would be suitable for our needs. They educated us on the benefits of certain mattresses and how the adjustable bases will help with zero gravity, viewing TV, and snore mode support. In addition, they recommend some pillows, bedsheets, and mattress linings that added additional support and comfort to our sleeping habits. The white glove delivery was on time and properly set up to include the adjustable power bases and Mattress. It was a good thing that Albert recommended we subscribe to the Mathis Brothers reward program. The first Mattress we selected did not provide us the comfort as our previous mattress. After 30 days, we were able to exchange this mattress. After submitting our claim under the mattress comfort guarantee program, Albert and Alex were able to order us a replacement. The replacement mattress was delivered on time and they took old the mattress with them without any hassles. We are truly grateful for the superb customer service that Alex and Albert provided us. We are pleased with our mattress selection and have been sleeping restfully every night. I would highly recommend Mathis Brothers Sleep Center to address and support your sleeping needs. I would give them a "F" rating if I could. Mathis Brothers had ordered the wrong color on my love seat. (This was ordered in March, I received the incorrect item in July). Mathis Brothers told me they would reorder the correct item. I called Jim (Sales Associate) in September to check on the status and was told he thought it was going to be delivered on Oct 4. Never heard from Jim again. I called Jim on Saturday/Sunday (Oct 24/25 approximately) and was told he would call the manufacturer on Monday (Oct 26) and he would call be back. Never heard from Jim again. I have left voicemail and sent e-mail to Jim's Sales Manager, but have never heard anything back from the Sales Manager since July. I left a voicemail with Jim on Nov 3, Jim returned my call and said that my love seat had been accidentally sent to OK. (Now I have a lot of relatives in OK that probably would have picked up the love seat for me if I had lived there...LOL). Jim said he would find out when it was suppose to be shipped to CA and let me know. I repeatedly told Jim to keep me informed. Today it has been 8 months, and I still haven't received my love seat. I left voicemail with the Sales Manager and with Jim, the Sales Associate. Jim finally returned my call and asked, "What did I tell you the last time I talked to you?" Jim said he usually keeps notes, but forget to take any the last time we spoke. Jim said he needs to call someone to find the status and would call me back tomorrow, Nov 17. I am extremely frustrated by this, and will never do business with them again due to this experience. AVOID them at all cost! if you read my review you would never walk into their store! 17 months of waiting! no item ! no refund! i will try to keep this as short as possible 1- purchased 3 couches on February 2020 2- on August 2020 we got the wrong color delivered, correct color no more available, 3- returned the item , instead of refund i was giving little discount with promise of rush order if i order something else, 4- in August 2020 placed new order with promise of rush order , no more than 8 weeks 5-in December 2020 (about 21 weeks later) got half my order 6- after hundreds of calls we learned that factory wrote 2 couches instead of 3 couches 7- got called again , instead of return i was offered gift card with promise that order would be rushed and i would get it by January , i had no choice but to say yes since i ordered special color 8- In January they said i would get in February 9- in February they said i would get it in March 10- In march they said i will for sure get it in April as its being shipped and currently on the way to the store 11- in April they said the order was not yet processed , and was asked to wait until July!!!! 12- called trying to cancel this item as i am done with them, they said they are okay with cancel the order that i did not get, but for the order i already got they are non returnable , not sure what would i do with half a room ? in process again to see what i will do and what options i have to get my money back from this bad company do not let them trick you, they are very good at that, worst company you can ever deal with , even though i spent more than 20K with them in 2019 and 2020, THEY DO NOT CARE, read more

Just want to say a couple things about the sales associate Armando Chacon - all I can say is that if others were like him, I would probably be in dept. His customer service skills, professionalism as well as overall knowledge was outstanding. He treated my wife and I like royalty from the minute we walked in the door. Keep in mind, I really do not dress like I could afford to spend over $9,000.00 but Armando treated me like I could buy the entire store. My wife and I was buying our house and at the time we went in the store we were creating a shopping list of what we wanted so Armando spent several hours with us throughout the night compiling our list of things we wanted to buy. He followed up with us for several weeks as we went through the closing process. Then a little over three weeks we walked into the store where Armando met us and we purchased a lot. During the process of course we made changes to our order based on what would look nice in our new house. He worked with his manager to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. Anytime I walk into Mathis Brothers I will not buy anything! unless he is there. Even when my wife and I were shopping he was not pushy, but whenever we had a question, he seems to all way appear; not sure how he did that; maybe he was hiding in the furniture. Again, what a awesome experience the best I ever had. I tell everybody I work with to ask for him!!! and if he is not there to call him on his cell phone.
