She really cares for each and every one of the her enrolled students and ensures that everyone is being their academic best. Furthermore, all the tutors that I have worked with at A Plus are very kind and are always willing to teach/answer questions. They make sure that their lessons are not only educational, but also fun and engaging. All in all, whenever I needed help with my challenging courses, from AP Chemistry to Precalculus, I always turned towards A Plus and was always satisfied with the result. With the far less expensive tuition at A Plus, combined with its A1 educational resources, it doesn't get better than this. You won't regret enrolling here. Thank you A Plus and Mrs. Quynh Giao for all the amazing academic wonders you have done for me and your students!

Much like the rest of the exceptional staff at LePort, they are consistently kind, calm, gentle, and loving--yet perfectly stern when necessary to maintain a safe, respectful environment for toddlers. In fact, every time I try to take my child home, he lingers around because he wants to stay longer to keep having fun with his teachers and friends! Ms. Patton goes above and beyond to make the afternoon experience special. She takes the extra steps to decorate their designated areas with beautiful crafts the children have made. Her creativity shines through in the activities she plans; she goes way beyond standard crayon coloring by introducing engaging sensory bins and incorporating practical life skills like cutting with scissors. I am always surprised and delighted by the unique projects my child brings home. I especially treasure the art pieces created with handprints and footprints. As a parent, those are the exact milestones I always want to document but never quite find the time to do myself, so receiving them is incredibly meaningful. We are so grateful to Ms. Patton and Ms. Butler for providing such a rich, joyful, and nurturing extension to the school day.

They also upload lots of pictures and videos throughout the day which makes it that much better to see the little ones! My only complaint is the price which is fairly expensive but I guess you can't put a price on quality care of your child and knowing they are in safe hands.

I remember this one tutor, Thao, super strict, installed fear into every kid, and always had a raspy yelling voice. I remember having to do a family tree in summer school there and being afraid that she would humiliate me if I did it wrong. Another time I was going to leave and right outside my class there was some kid, maybe in 8th grade, having to do a bunch of push ups as a man was yelling at him for not doing his homework. The same man just looked me and said "have a nice day :)" I don't know about other classrooms, but my class we had a tally mark system where if a kid do something bad, a tally mark would be written next to their name on the whiteboard. And I think if you got like ten tally marks you would be punished with smithing called a "burnout" which was basically having kids do a bunch of strenuous exercises like pushups, sit ups, and running laps around the school. I do admit I did have some fun there, like during the summer every Friday or so we'd go to Mile Square Park and do activities there. One time we got to dye tshirts. And yeah I did learn some math. But I really don't think that all of that work was worth it because it was a super toxic environment.

I am a previous student from Dojo who enrolled in the summer SAT program (four days a week for nine…read moreweeks). Going into the program, I had already had previous experience with the SAT through the PSAT offered at my high school. I took the PSAT my freshman and sophomore year (I am a junior now), and scored 1070 and 1110 respectively. The course offered a pretty solid curriculum that allowed me to prepare for the August 2017 SAT where I scored in the top two percent of all test takers. However it is important to note that the PSAT is not an accurate representation of my SAT average before dojo, and that I am a decent scholar who just slacks off a lot. The program prepares the students through lessons (which teachers context and testing strategies) and practice tests/quizzes daily. As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect," and there was a lot of practice and review. I've also come to realize that the program has so far helped me retain knowledge that I would've forgotten during the summer (which helps with my load of APs this year), reteach me Algebra 2 and Geometry, and get introduced to concepts I am applying in my AP Lang class (it is basically tutoring during the summer and can be applied in classes and not just the SAT.) The program is divided between two teachers (Math and English). The math teacher, Mr. Loi (who is now studying at Princeton and no longer teaching) was an excellent tutor who helped me a lot. Although the math section was great, I have to say that the English part was lacking. Me and my peers found that what was taught in English was very redundant, not taught very well, and hard to apply to the tests. This also accounts for the essay where the practice was useless and served little purpose (I scored relatively low on the essay portion in compared to my Math and English sections). I learned most of my English strategies from Khan Academy to supplement what was missing at Dojo. I do believe that Dojo is worth it as the administration cares a lot for the students and our success. The administration is very active, talking to us several times a week and providing college counseling. In comparison to other institutions (Elite, UC Campus, etc.) where my friends went, I observed that people tend to improve and learn more at Dojo. Overall, I am very thankful for Dojo and owe my success to them.
