Very unhappy with how this business keeps charging me two months after I let them know we would end our time here. The first time I was understanding, They said there was a problem in their system that charged everyone and they had to refund tons of people. Now a second time is just unbelievable. This is not good business. I also want to say that I feel this place is way too overpriced for not being open on the weeekends and earlier than 2pm during the summer. You really only have the option to bring your kid here between 3pm-7pm. That doesn't give parents enough flexibility. The only good thing I can say is the tutors were always very nice and helpful towards my daughter. But would I recommend this place to other parents? Probably not. read more

My child goes to an advanced pace school. He was struggling a bit with math. I also had my niece and nephew for the summer. I enrolled all three of them and I have nothing but positive feedback my son started the school year and he is thriving. he is finishing his reviews within a minute and these are about 25 to 30 problems front and back of the sheet he's getting it down. He feels so much more confident in School because he knows the curriculum now I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who has a child that needs to close the gap or just help with homework. I bring my son right after school with his textbook and he gets his homework done and has extra time to review and work on what he needs help in. Everyone has been very helpful from the moment I enrolled him to today's date. I know a lot of people might look at the contract or prize and not want to enroll, but they're very flexible. We have been going here for a few months and my 14 year old daughter LOVES tutoring! Go figure! They have helped her tremendously in Algebra. Kevin is really nice and he is flexible with scheduling and I soooo appreciate it as my schedule is crazy sometimes and sometimes I need to get her in to get some practice prior to a test. It's a bit pricey for my budget, but it is so worth it to see my daughter happy and relieved that she understands the work. The tutors from what she tells me are all very knowledgeable and her grades have gone up and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend it here! read more

I'm a parent / client. From the beginning Whitney was very helpful both managing expectations & organizing (child's processing in) the Mathnasium office. From a learning standpoint, our 10yo Gavin aptitude has increased quite a bit., we enjoy the repetition, fun, patients & quaffed teachers; best describes Mathnasium. This review by no means reflects the director, Alan or the many tutors in Mathnasium. They were great and my daughter got her math grade up significantly. The review I am writing refers to the contract policy they have. When I signed up, it was for a six month term. It ending conveniently for me, the last month of school. What I find deceiving is in the fine print. If you don't remember to explicitly tell them your child won't be needing tutoring (in the summer when there is no school), they will continue billing your bank account past the contract term. I get it. It is totally my fault for not remembering the fine print. I wish that I was that organized in November to set a reminder to cancel on time. The only reason I found out was that the bank cancelled my card for unusual activity. How crazy is the world that I pay thanks to Bank of America? Bizarro. Mathnasium surely reminds you of the billing when the card is declined. Come to find out that mine is not the only complaint about this business practice. It's really disheartening that they know this is a problem, yet decide to keep this as their policy. Well Mathnasium, you got an extra $800 this summer that I was not planning to pay. But in the long run, you lost two more years worth of tutoring my daughter. Do that math. read more

At the time of my first review, I wrote about how much my daughter grew during a single summer at Mathnasium. She ended up staying for an entire year. Her growth was phenomenal. Our daughter went from scoring a 1 on her SBAC at then end of 3rd grade (the remote learning 2020-2021 school year), to scoring a 3 on her SBAC at the end of 4th grade. She later tested into an Accelerated Math class for 5th grade and is starting that now. She has so much more confidence in Math and overcame the learning gap caused by a year of remote learning during the Covid school year. While we believe her 4th grade teacher also deserves some credit (she was amazing), Mathnasium was also an essential piece of the puzzle in getting her back on track. read more

Mathnasium has been a great tool for our son when needing extra instruction while learning a math lesson to really master the skill, and also provides the opportunity to work ahead. They are familiar with the different schools and their curriculums as well as prep for various testing, including the SAT & ACT. They keep track of your child's progress and have helped increase test grades. The instructors are very knowledgeable and engaged and explain the skill while letting the student do the work. Mathanasium of Red Rock is seriously the way to go! All of my siblings including myself from ages 6-15 are at Mathanasium. In the beginning of tenth grade my grade in math was an F, now after only being enrolled in Mathanasium for 2 months, I have an A (96%). We love coming here, not only is it just learning math, they make it fun. All the instructors are so helpful, and they are there for you. They are willing to help you and make sure you understand what you are learning. It's not like those basic homework helpers who just make sure you have your homework done and you're on your way. They make sure you understand the topic and you understand what is going on in math. They make you and your child feel so welcome. I totally recommend coming here for all ages, definitely a place you want to spend your time at. read more

My son was behind in math and needed help, so we went to Mathnasium. I was impressed at the level of caring demonstrated by the staff, especially by Kevin, the site director. Kevin partnered with our family and came up with a plan to get our son up to speed. After our son showed marked improvement, we told Kevin that we would be taking him out. Kevin had the foresight to use our remaining time at the center to have our son work on material that was relevant to next school year's curriculum, which will undoubtedly put him in a good position come August. My oldest son started at the beginning of 3rd grade. He was at a low second grade math ability. This was shown buy the test he took at Mathnasium and by the school test he took at the end of second grade. In less than one year time they took him to a 6th grade ability. And on the last nwea map test ye got a 91st percentile of score. They have done an amazing job. If you sign up with this company and you go there regularly and follow their curriculum you will see huge gains. read more
