The kids love how she explains math so clearly. They just get it when she teaches them. And they really get it because she's asking them questions during the session to check their understanding. Confidence and grades have soared! My 7 year old tutors with Laura because he wants to increase his math skills. I especially love that she doesn't limit what he can learn at his age. He's learned his multiplication and division tables, rounding to the 10,000's, perimeter, area and today he learned fractions. It's only been 8 weeks. We signed up for another 8 weeks. Really cool to see his mind light up! Thank you CEC and thank you Laura!!!

I looked up many tutoring centers in the area and decided on CEC. I signed her up for AST twice a week. Within two weeks she was starting to get it and even got an 85% on her math test - which before she averaged 70%. She had so much more confidence with math and the staff, especially Mr. Brian worked around her busy schedule. I can't thank CEC enough for all their help and patience with us and look forward to many more tutoring sessions for my daughter!

I decided to use the summer to catch up in hopes of better preparing her for the new school year. Our Reach tutor has done more than bring my daughter up to speed, she has helped her progress to the point of being ahead of the class. I am no longer dreading the start of school in the fall; I can't wait to see my daughter excel! As far as value is concerned, sessions are one-on-one and our tutor is focused, prepared, and well-informed. There is NO wasted time, no "busy work," and no fluff. I cannot say enough good things about our experience

When I contacted Nikki, within about 5 minutes into our conversations I felt very comfortable that I'd found the solution I was looking for for my daughter. Nikki seemed to genuinely care about my daughter's struggles. She was not pushy. And she was compassionate and understanding of the challenge I was feeling between wanting my child to succeed but facing the financial burden of being a single parent. REACH is flexible and provides options for families with the students genuine interest at heart. They are willing to work with busy families to find the right tutor that will fit both in terms of personality and scheduling. My daughter is working with Mindy S and she is AMAZING. In a very short time she got to know my daughter and what made her tick. She cares a lot about my daughter's success and treats her like she would her own child. My daughter was getting a very poor grade in HS Geometry before she started working with Mindy and when she took her first test after she started her tutoring she got 100%!!! I highly recommend REACH Professionals!!

Joe offered his help and support to me and was willing to work with my schedule. I was anxious and panicking but with his help, I was able to pass the class with an A! Joe is patient, precise, thorough, and has a talent for making even something as difficult as math fun! He showed me exactly how to use my calculator in a way that I could easily remember and even showed me some shortcuts my professor did not know! He really is an incredible tutor and I would recommend him to anyone who needs help of any sort with this subject!

Joseph is straight to the point and with his jokes, Stats actually became fun. I met up with Joe once a week and he helped me with homework, understanding concepts and just everything!!!! I ended up getting a high A in the class. Super reliable, smart and helpful guy! Joe, if you see this: YOU ARE AWESOME AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Let's start by saying I was tortured as a kid with kumon. My parents brought me here and now I…read moretorture my 13 year old with it.....the tradition has begun! This is a Japanese company where you repeat math problems over and over again until it becomes second nature. My son is pretty good at math ( he asks me for help and I refer him to my accountant sister), so he is just here to increase his skill. They also offer reading comprehension but we haven't tried that yet ( maybe during the summer, I am so mean)! This type of program is for the child that just needs more practice and not one on one tutoring. They will help them threw a problem but they do not take that much time. The child is first tested to get a starting point. This starting point is usually much easier then what they are currently doing in school ( my son started with multiplication ) but remember it is because they need to have the basics ingrained before they continue. I find it has been well worth the cost and my sons math skills have increased greatly! Lastly, 90% of the students and all my Asian friends came here as a child.....Nuff said!

I've been going here since third grade. I'm a Junior in High School now…read more When I first joined Kumon in third grade, I despised it. I hated how every Monday and Thursday, I was forced to be crammed into some remote room doing math worksheets when instead I could be playing video games or watching T.V. However, this place has really grew on me in the past 10 years or so. I've only been in the math program, so I can't speak for the effectiveness from the reading program; however from what I've seen it looks fine. So here's how Kumon works: When you first join, your child will get a diagnostic test. Your child will be placed in a level that is WAY below his level. For example when I was in third grade and doing Multiplication in school, I was doing addition in Kumon. I thought to myself, "WOW! This place is so stupid and a waste! Why am I doing addition?" This is on purpose. Your child starts at a lower skill level not because the program is trying to make them learn; it is teaching them to do problems efficiently and correctly. Your child will start off slow; however you will see the benefits of this later on. Kumon works in levels: These levels are labeled by letters. I'm currently on Letter J, which is advanced algebra and basic Pre-Calculus. Here's the thing. Don't send your child to Kumon if they are struggling in school or need help with specific concepts, get them an individual tutor for that. Kumon builds the foundation for basic study habits and skills; I was sent to Kumon as a child and now see the effects of me going there kicking in. I can now mentally solve problems much faster than my peers, and I work faster and more efficient in ALL of my school subjects. At first when you join Kumon you will be discouraged; you will not see immediate results. It will take maybe 1 or 2 years for you to actually see progress. I recommend that you send your child here maybe starting off in third grade or so; and pulling them out around the beginning of high school. Although It's expensive, if you can afford it, it is definitely worth it. I personally recommend only sending your child here if you know you can commit them to it for a long period. Also, make sure your child does their worksheets. I would not be where I am today if my parents constantly reminded me to do my Kumon. tldr: Kumon will not benefit at first, but you will later see massive results. Message me if you have any specific questions. Oh and yes, before you ask, I'm Asian, and so are 75% of the kids here.
