I've been going to Mathew 25 ministries for the past 10 years and they continue to grow while keeping their mission the same. It is the best place to volunteer sporadically and they have a lot of open availability. This year I wanted to do something for my birthday, giving back to the community and I was able to organize an event for my friends to get together and do. It was amazing. We hung candy on Christmas trees for A-Kid-Again. And they were nice enough to throw in a tour of the grounds as well, which made it even more special. read more

Fantastic non-profit organisation. Very impressed by the number of service opportunities available for all ages. Apparently the public school system hete requires students to complete service hours so there are many upper elementary through high school students who help with projects, along with families, retirees and in our case, we joined up with a company work group of volunteers. Appreciated the registration and ID badge process which insures volunteer safety too. Recently received a very nice thank you post card as well. Next time I'm the area, I will volunteer again! read more

What a humbling experience!! We worked hard and every minute was so worth it. It is encouraging to see how much is donated to such a good cause. My work team came here for a team building and for 2.5 hours we put all our differences aside and worked for True common goal. It was fun and exhausting LOL. You can bring your family and volunteer together. I hope to bring my kids soon and help our again!! For those wanting to plan something they will allow you to bring your own food and eat in their cafe. read more

I love everything Matthew 25 Ministries stands for and their cause. My Mr. and I ran the Hunger run (5k) a few years back. Just recently my work volunteered to help out on whatever they need us to do. We stacked 12 Pallets of disinfectant wipes that accidentally spilled/fell over. It was hard work but rewarding at the end. Before the labor, they took us for a tour at their facility and gave us a brief history of what they do. I was blown away by how much relief they have helped those in need and families. Everyday there is a truck going out to different statesor pallets going to different countries. Donations are given from all over. They've supplied from Hurricane Katrina, Ukraine, and just a couple of days ago to Goshen. This place is not fancy but very organized and grateful for all donations. The staff is super friendly and work really hard. We helped for a couple of hours. I left feeling good and felt like we made a tiny difference. Also some things I thought about....my problems are nothing compared to the other people suffering in this world. Makes you not want to take things for granted and be grateful for what you have. What a great organization! When I make my donations, I will bring them here and volunteer again! read more

This non-profit set up was amazing. They could put any warehouse or shop to same in the work being done - what it is, how it's organized, and the fact it's done by volunteer groups. We showed up knowing nothing about the charity. We took an informative tour during our volunteer window and learned a lot. In a nutshell, they source and deliver emergency aid essentials to areas both local (US) and global - for disasters like tornadoes, floods, etc. Our job was to QA and pair shirts and pants. The clothing was donated - some very heavily used - by uniform companies. However, if you had no clothes, anything would be welcome. For 2 hours our group of 20 ranging in age from 8 - 60 unpacked boxes of pants and shirts while others paired and reboxed. This was only one of many different tasks being done during the 11 AM - 1 PM shift. If you're looking for a group volunteer project, I highly recommend coming here. It was incredibly organized, informative and meaningful. An excellent cause to donate both time and money. read more

They provide a great service to those in need. Thoroughly enjoyed volunteering here. Need to know: There are no bags of any sort allowed in with the volunteers. No purses, no book bags, none of that. There is an officer that details there. There are cameras literally everywhere. A waiver has to be completed before volunteering. Folks that I've encountered there have been friendly. I love this place! Matthew 25 has a big heart for ministry. They are always looking for donations and supplies. Instead of checking out Goodwill or dropping things off to other companies, I try my best to give all my donations to this ministry. They are located in Blue Ash right off the Reed Hartman exit on 275. They do you have drop off bins that you can place things in after hours. However, if you go during their business hours, usually someone will greet you right at the door and help you unload your car. You are able to drive up right to the facility. They also give receipts for your taxes without any questions. This ministry also holds a large 5K to fight against hunger. This is usually at the end of October or beginning of November. It is so neat to see all of the people come out to support this place! This ministry does a lot of work overseas, but it also is an organization that benefits our local community. I would highly recommend! During business hours, you are welcome to go inside and look at all of their displays, as it maps out their heart and ministry. I just volunteered at Matthew 25 Ministries for the first time with a work group and we had a great time! This is a fantastic organization that helps people with disaster relief all around the globe. They are currently working on sending goods and medical help to Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico for victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. As a volunteer, they really make sure that you are helping in meaningful ways! We helped by sorting bulk donations, making gift bags, and writing well wishes in cards for people that need them. I would call it "organized chaos" because there is quite a lot of items coming in and the warehouse itself is a little overwhelming, but the leaders were very helpful and gave good direction. If you're looking to donate, Matthew 25 Ministries takes clothes, shoes, personal care, school supplies, cleaning supplies, baby items, and many more! They don't take electronics or glass items because they will break in shipping. Donation is very easy. You just drive up and someone will come help you unload and write you a receipt if you need it. The only reason I'm docking a star is that I'm concerned that the workers are not as safe as they could be in the warehouse area. I've worked in manufacturing, and I think they should be wearing safety glasses and cut resistant gloves when digging in the miscellaneous bins for sorting because you never know if you'll run into sharps. I also think that they are a little nonchalant when working around fork lifts and I'm concerned that since no one is wearing steel toe boots that someone could get hurt. I just finished volunteering for 4 days at Matthews 25: Ministries on what is now my 6th mission trip out of state. What Matthews 25: Ministries does is an amazing thing. They help countless people across the world by giving them clothes and other necessities to improve their way of life. The reason I am only giving 2 out of 5 stars is because of some of the people that work within the organization come off very rude when they spoke to me. Now not all of then are rude, some are very nice and friendly, but the few that were stood out to me. For example, I knocked over a chair by accident and I was told to not break the chairs, after apologizing she left a snickering remark that she wanted me to hear. And not only that but the same women later told me not to sit on what were sturdy metal bars, and when I apologized again, she left another remark about how shes had to tell us specifically about not sitting on them, when this was the first time. In other words, what should've been basic conversations turned into unnecessary comments. read more

I truly believe in this organization. They go to the sites that are devastated and hand helpful items and food to the victims. And I bet there is no rich CEO running this place. The help have always been helpful and sweet. read more

This is a wonderful charity. The people who take your donations are so sweet and helpful. If you cannot get everything out of your car, they are more than willing to help. Also, it couldn't be easier to donate. You just drive right up and out they come to get your stuff. Another great thing they do is take all your old script bottles, labels and all. Just drop them off and they remove all the labels, fix them up and then they send them out to be reused. Another great way to save time and still contribute to recycling. Such a great service! This is an excellent charity and they really help so many people. So start donating today! read more

Matthew 25 Ministries is a really cool nonprofit organization that basically collects all sorts of supplies to send to places all over the world for disaster relief. You can drop off donations and know they are going to a good place. This is a great place for groups, families, and individuals to volunteer. The first time you go, you will also get a neat tour about the work that M25M does, including some pretty hardcore recreated disaster scenes! Really kid friendly and there are a wide variety of tasks you might be assigned to- sorting clothes, sorting hygiene supplies, putting together kits.. Glad M25M is part of the Cincinnati community and has such a wide reach across the world! read more

I have no idea why anyone is giving less than 5 stars. I just wrapped up my first volunteering trip today and it was perfectly in line with what I expected. If you've never volunteered here before, you show up, you check in with a medium sized line of people and then they explain to you along with everyone else what you're doing. Today I sorted clothing...pretty simple but needs to be done. There seems to be a mixture of people here ranging from a few various organizations (a group of guys that work together, a choir, and a group of students were who I saw today) but a lot of the "walk ins" are students who need community service hours. If you feel like you don't want to touch clothing or don't want to bend and move so much, I'm sure they can accommodate you and let you do some of the other jobs that needed to be done like moving the sorted pallets of clothing to other sections or something else. If you're looking to volunteer, even for just an hour and really make a difference in someone's life, just go and give it a try. read more

My daughter and I have collected several times for different disasters around the country! The people at Matthew 25 are so helpful. The first time was for the Flooding in South Carolina. we collected two van loads of water, detergent, soap, shampoo, garbage bags,deodorant ect.... They unloaded and took care of everything! Then loaded it on trucks and took it to the disaster area. Since then we have been back for the floods in Missouri and Illinois, tornado's in Texas and Alabama. They do so much to help others and if you want to do community service they make it easy for you to do so! Thanks for being there! read more

I've volunteered at many Christian donation centers in my life and I would have to say this is one of the least enjoyable experiences of all. I worked for four straight days and from the moment we walked into the door, till the moment we walked out, we were disrespectfully ordered to work different working stations. While working, we were constantly being rudely ridiculed on how "poorly" we were working. For a Christian donation center I would expect to be treated with much more respect and kindness. read more
