I called Robert Vera Allstate insurance and gave them my details and particulars for an actual quote. That company came back with a quote for $2,400, which is triple the original quote sent to me. Why? The letter they sent with a false nonsense quote in order to entice me to call the company. They had no intention of honoring or even coming close to that original quote. It was all a scam to get me to call. I will never do business with a dishonest company. I will be making a complaint to the BBB and Suffolk County Consumer Affairs. If you do business you have to do business correctly, honestly and ethically. Lastly, I have a basic history, no previous insurance claims etc or anything that would result in a much higher quote. This company simply sent out a dishonest solicitation letter with a nonsense quote they had no intention of honoring.
