On consecutive days we ordered the Grand PApa and Bianca which is Matthews white pie. Both were excellent. Dough is very good and the other ingredients are top notch. Not an in depth review, but definitely a pizza place we'll frequent and I recommend you do as well. Young ladies that answer the phones are friendly and very helpful on the pick up. This is surely a "world-class" place. It's not just a pizza place, it's a small restaurant. There's a rather extensive menu with lots of Italian specialties! Many sit-down tables were all dolled up in red and white, and looking clean and inviting. The whole space screams clean, neat, and well managed. Matthew was in the kitchen doing his thing. Not to worry! Lamotta's is still essentially here it is now Matthew's. We rolled up on a Saturday night after 7pm and noticed the name change on the sign. The tiny place was packed which is not typical. This place does a lot of takeout business. The wait staff is the same (great service!) and the food is still yummy. Pricing for pizza can get steep when you add lots of toppings but we get multiple meals from one large delicious pie so it's worth it. My only complaint is this: as a dine in customer it has the feel of a fast food restaurant rather than the ambiance we prefer from a nice Italian restaurant. Not much can be done about that in this venue ( there are only about 6 tables! Hopefully they can expand into a larger space to round out the dinner experience. For now we'll keep coming back for consistently good food and service. Give them a try! read more

Expired drinks first one had black mold the second was flat . I looked up the code and it expired over a year ago .First time there waited 45 minutes and was given the wrong pizza . We made the mistake of choosing to eat in the restaurant. Food was delicious when it finally was served. Not all food was delivered together. First pizza was not made correctly, no sauce due to tomato allergy = pizza made with no cheese! It took over an hour for chicken tenders kids meal and pasta dish to make it the table. Excellent service food and nice seating and parking. Hidden gem in Cape Coral! We will certainly return for the pizza and excellent pasta! Don't forget Bruschetta appetizer! Not touristy- more of a local spot where it is nice that there are not a lot of out of town crowds. Don't be fooled by the strip mall and humble surroundings. When a good garlicky pasta or creamy alfredo is the only thing that you are craving, then this is the place to go. Fountain drinks would be nicer than the canned soft drinks but that is not a disaster. I am looking forward to the next time we order to try something else like piccata or chicken parm. My normal pizza joint was closed yesterday, so decided to try this spot. The pizza I ordered was delivered on time, and seems to have been what I ordered. Nothing special, middle of the road pizza. I did notice something off with it however, and stopped after one slice. Ended up a bit later with a pretty good case of food poisoning. The restaurant might want to review its food handling processes. I'll certainly never order from them again, and I would urge you not to either. I generally don't give reviews to restaurants but when they make me sick, I feel it is in the public service to let everyone know. read more

We ordered delivery from LaMotta's for the first time today. We got a Hawaiian pizza and the Romano Puttanesca with chicken. The pizza was pretty good and a great size too for a "small" It is easily as big as a medium pizza from Domino's so you get a lot of bang for your buck. The pasta was a big portion as well and it looked delicious but it had way too many anchovies. Like A LOT!!!! to the point that it was overpowering the rest of the ingredients. I couldn't finish it. The chicken was tender and it tasted awesome.the salad was fresh and the garlic roll was BOMB. It would've been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the huge amount of anchovies. Not writing them off tho. I think this place has potential for sure. Will order from them again just not their puttanesca. Wife got an orange cream soda that had no expiration date and had mold under the cap. Ordered a pizza with mushrooms on the side. Told girl to either sauté them or cook in pizza oven on a steel plate. After 40 minutes I asked waitress does he need me to come back there and cook my own pizza? 15 minutes later the pizza came out with mushrooms all over it. 55 minutes for the wrong pizza. She said he said it would be 20 minutes to make another we said no cancel paid for our sodas tipped her and left. Half the menu was blacked out. Note there were only two other tables with total six people in there. I give this place maybe 4 months till they close the door. Will never make it off season. Ordered take out by 8pm and very sad. Like sit under the stairs sad and question life. So many good reviews and was so sad when I got my order. Pizza was okay and the garlic knots was dry shoe leather. Burnt garlic on and not eve soft and chewy, least the pizza was very chew and plain even though I had pepperoni. I've added LaMotta's to my list of favorite restaurants because of its consistency. It consistently provides great food and customer service. Food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is always on point (no matter if you're dining in or ordering out). If you order for pickup and they say your food will be ready at a certain time, it actually is ready at that time. I haven't had a bad meal or experience there, yet. I've been a customer since their days in Fort Myers. My favorite meal there is the Eggplant Parmigiana, but everything is good. Thank you LaMotta's! I'm truly a happy customer. read more

Tried a meatball sub and fettuccini Alfredo. Meatball sub was amazing. Meatballs were flavorful and tender really delicious. Bread was out of this world! Crusty and crispy and soft all at the same time. Fantastic flavor. Garlic knots were so good too. Fettuccini Alfredo fell very short for me. Pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was basically a cream sauce. No saltiness from the parm. Idk maybe this is how it really is in Italy and I'm just warped from eating American Alfredo. But based on the taste alone, had I been blindfolded, I would never have been able to identify this as Alfredo of any kind. Maybe they forgot the cheese during cooking? Either way the food quality was so good I'm down to try their other stuff. read more

LaMotta's has moved from Fort Myers to Cape Coral and is under new management. They follow a lot of the previous award winning recipes, serving great homemade dishes and Pizzas. We went yesterday for the first time since the restaurant move and found that their Bianca Pizza (white pie) was exactly the same taste and quality as the previous owners. We came down from Venice Fl. just to check the new owners out. We definitely will be back and highly recommend LaMotta's Pizza. Two stars (except for the overstressed waitress) a few Saturday nights ago. A ten top next to us thought it was super cool to sing Italian songs to the muzak AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS, killing any chance of others enjoying our meal or conversations. Not one or two songs, but for an hour. Management did nothing, even with complaints. Pizza, 'Sicilian', was a large, hard loaf of bread, minimal sauce and toppings. The flat pizzas had crazy applications of toppings, one piece covered in onion slices/soggy green peppers, another piece next to it with nothing but cheese. I really was disappointed due to a number of great reviews from others but our night was a disaster on all levels. Except that poor waitress, bless her. read more

LaMotta's is the best. Their pizza is fantastic. The best I've ever had. The owner does not know how to do things small. The Calzones and Stromboli's are large enough to feed two. I haven't had pizza this good since I was young in a place called Figaro's on 49th St in Hialeah back in the 70s. I ordered the large and could barely eat 2 slices they were so big.
