VERY disappointed. Pizza crust was bland and hard as a rock and the sauce was very bitter. The salad was just okay. The eggplant fries were mushy. This was the first time we ordered from this place and, unfortunately, the last. We'll be ordering from our usual pizza place next Friday. read more

The pizza (a large NY style was good) BUT everything else was terrible. The garlic knots were too strong. Instead of butter and garlic salt, they had a bitter garlic powder flavoring on them. The chicken press sandwich was disgusting. The chicken was rubbery. I actually spit it out into the trash. The gator bites were extremely chewy. My son spit these out into the trash also. The Italian sandwich was ok, but the bread was not fresh. One and done! read more

The bread was really hard , almost like a crouton ( although the seasoning on it wasn't too bad )the pasta was really bland and greasy , I was stoked because everyone who worked there seemed like awesome people and I'm sure they are but honestly , if Olive Garden has more flavor there's an issue . LOVE, love, love this family-run restaurant!! The Godfather app was tantalizing! The muscles marinara very good! The caprese tower was a bit different than we're used to but not one piece was left on the plate! Kids had a meat-lover pizza & could barely put a dent in it. I had the baked ravioli. Red sauce & I have a love-hate relationship, but happy to say it not only tasted yummy, it did not bother my stomach!! The ravioli were fresh & light. Mrs LaMotta waited on us & not one mistake was made; such a wonderful lady! The food is Sicilian style. Be prepared for a bit of a different variation of some usual favorites (ground beef in penne a la vodka). The desert menu consists of mainly various flavored ice-cream balls. Just a tad disappointed. The food was decent. Place is clean. There's a man in there (I'm guessing part owner maybe) that is horribly mean to his waitresses. There's a new waitress in there who was sweet as could be he spoke down to her the entire time we were in there. Then was a jackass to a second waitress. Will never go back because of him. I just tried LaMottas. I asked for a slice to go. Waited a few minutes and when it came out I opened the box and it was a slice with sausage. I stated I asked for a slice not sausage, they redid my order. When I got it I left and parked near the place to eat it. First it was swimming in oil. Lifted it up and it just wilted not able to fold it with a snap. Took a few bites and had to pull tomato skin out of my mouth. The sauce really had no flavor with any spices. There was no oregano or grated cheese flavor at all. When I ate the crust it was hard like a breadstick. Overall I will not be back. read more

Had a friendly, helpful waitress named Ginger but unfortunately she could not make up for the ineptness of the Cook, the Owner and his wife !! Was a medium busy day/ time so we expected a wait -- not a 2 hour wait for our food When we approached the old man at the front register to see where our meals were here is his response: We can't do anything about it. If you don't like it, you can LEAVE.... so all 7 of us got up and walked out !! I've ordered from Carmelo take out many times with no issues. Tonight was the first time we decided to eat in, let me tell you the waitress older Italian lady was so fantastic. But the kitchen is differently lacking in timing and making sure the dine in customers are taken care of. I took my mom, wife and two young children to eat in, we had a table for 6:30 and the pizza and calzone came out in a timely fashion. My daughter ordered angel hair pasta with oil and that was it. My mother ordered the tour of Sicily, both of their meals came out after we've already had our meals so my mom and daughter didn't eat there meals. By the time they were finished we took them to go. The waitress was upset that we weren't happy she did a great job we tipped her 25% it wasn't her fault but it sure seemed like the pizza chef was on point take out was booming but my mom and daughter couldn't get some pre cooked pasta. I've worked in the restaurant business that angel hair pastas my daughter ordered cooks in 2 minutes and most pasta is pre cooked and re heated in boiling-water. Pasta should be the easy part, how does a calzone come out before pasta idk but the food is amazing, need to figure out the kinks. read more

When family comes to town and you want a home cooked meal without the hassle of cooking in your own kitchen, rely on LaMotta's for a delicious Italian food. We went with a large group of family and friends who visited for Christmas and LaMotta's was the perfect choice. We've eaten here several times before and I'm glad we brought the crew. Everyone left very satisfied. They fed our gluten free and vegetarian members well. Perfect salad, garlic bread and calamari to start. We ordered plain pizza, meat lovers and white pizza - everyone was happy, which is not easy considering we're all originally from NYC. We ordered several plates of food which went well with the house Chianti. The eggplant parmigiana was as good as it gets. Dinner last night was nothing like it was at the old Lamotta's in Fort Myers. Calamari was good but the dinners were soso. The Romano Puttanesca description on the menu says it has marinara sauce, there was none, just a plate full of oil. Maybe the pizza is good, many deliveries were going out the door. read more

They had a place in Ft Myers that we visited a few years ago. It was good so I wanted to go back. They've moved over to Cape Coral so it was a longer drive and a bit hard to find but it was well worth it. This was the best meal I had all week. Portions were big and fairly priced. Went today to new Cape Coral location opens at 11 am 11:05 I walked in owner looked up at me and said I quote "what do you want" I said I was there for lunch he said they were not ready to open yet we're having gas problems come back later. Believe it or not this is the very same excuse I was getting at there Ft myers location. I would play casino at spinners and walk next door to get pizza and was often told of gas problems this is kind of odd. I have had enough of this rude guy if you don't want to open at 11 stop advertising that opening time. read more

TERRIBLE AND RUDE SERVICE!!!! There was almost nobody in the restaurant and we were told to seat ourselves. It then took minutes to even get menus. Several more minutes to even "try" to order. My daughter and I were going to order a couple of different things to try since it was our first time there. The lunch special is two slices of pizza and a drink. I asked if we could have one cheese and one pepperoni. Before I could even explain or complete the rest of our order which would've also consisted of their $15 daily sandwich special, a half dozen garlic knots, AND another $15 daily sandwich special to go (for my boyfriend); I was interrupted and told we couldn't do get two kinds of pizza because they lose money that way because it's considered sharing. If this is how first time guests are treated--it's no surprise they are closed two days a week and empty during lunch rush when they are open. Greed gets you no where as this would've easily been a $50+ purchase and a loyal customer. McDonald's has better service. Good luck and thanks for nothing!! read more
