Had a wonderful experience 13 years ago in Burlington Wa! Sale staff (woman, won't mention her name) had attitude right before bed, etc was to be delivered!! I asked for credit back. She stated she couldn't give it to me, to call tmw. I called the next day and then a gentleman told me David (owner) had to ok the credit!!!!??? And Bellevue store said l had to send an email to the head office!!! Right after sending the email l got a call from the same woman, attitude changed completely and told me to come in and receive the credit! I know customer service and never spoke to customers or members at the Credit Union this way!! Next day, Jim C was awesome and had heard the outburst from the woman earlier. We needed a simple full-size mattress for our house on Orcas Island. After visiting several mattress outlets we found it was very difficult and expensive to purchase a mattress and have it delivered. Most places would not deliver and some wanted up to $350 for one mattress. As a last resort we saw promotion at Mattress Depot at Alderwood Mall. Andy said he understood our problem and suggested that we purchase a mattress manufactured in Lacey that we could pick up compressed into a roll and that would fit into my SUV. I could handle the delivery and installation myself. I ordered the mattress for a fair price and got extra firm with delivery on schedule. My wife and I handled the delivery and installation and it is exactly what we wanted. Mattress Depot was very professional, helpful, and fair. We recommend them highly. read more

We came here as our first stop when looking for a new mattress. The staff here was so nice and accommodating. We didn't feel pressured at all! Then even had an awesome set up that kept our 7 year old preoccupied so that we could really check out the mattresses. We decided on one but still went to a couple other places to look. That was the worst decision ever! A one place there was a crazy amount of pressure to buy right now and the other yelled at my child for trying out a mattress. We happily went back and ordered our mattress! We also went ahead and got the adjustable frame... Best. Decision. Ever. This thing lifts our legs, backs, and massages with a light under so we don't stub our toes late at night. We opted for delivery and they set up everything exactly where we wanted and were hilarious while doing it. By far, best experience ever and will happily go back and purchase again! read more

It was time for a new mattress as our pricey Stearns and Foster age 8 looked like it was 20. Jason and Tessia were on staff that afternoon. Tessia was super nice and very knowledgeable about the types of mattresses the store carried. Had we decided to keep the box spring, we weren't pressured to buy one if we so chose. We explained about our sleep troubles and tried a few conventional mattresses. Then we tried a Serta IComfort mattress with an adjustable base. I'm not a pushover but I nearly fell asleep right by the window! I couldn't feel my hubby roll over or get up. So we took the plunge and ordered it. Obviously time will tell if we love it, but we have high hopes. Fast forward to delivery. The nice delivery guys. Anthony and Luther were here at the tail end of the delivery period. They had had a challenging many miles delivery day but were pleasant and efficient. As promised they did install our vintage headboard with the included brackets. This would have taken us all day and resulted in divorce, so we were certainly glad we had negotiated this part of the service. Everything was clean and tidy when they left. The prices can't be beat and the customer service and attention to our needs on all levels was a class act. We came in 3 days before we purchased and were really pleased with the level of detail, time and zero pressure that we experienced during our trying out process. DO NOT BUY FROM MATTRESS DEPOT. **READ** Deviously kind and laid back con-artists selling overpriced discards. Jason calmly told me how he is different from the "sharks" at other mattress stores. He explained how he worked up from installing lights, how he brought other mattress companies to fame and fortune only to wind up the victim of cut-backs and was forced to start over at the bottom at Mattress Depot (note the disclaimer that Mattress Depot is "the bottom"). When I mentioned that I was looking for the "least expensive" mattress for a small child, he almost hid his disappointment. He showed me a $99 foam pad (you can buy at Fred Meyer for $20), then what appeared to be a real mattress for $200! I was actually shocked at how nice it looked compared to the foam pad (el contraste), but it was probably because it was wrapped in plastic. We purchased it with a smile and headed out. My child has been sleeping on the mattress with no problems* (please note the comments below about this mattress). I should also note that my child has slept just as well on a 10 mil thick yoga mat that I purchased at Walmart for $14.95. So, I went back to Mattress Depot and there was Jason again, basking in the comments I gave him about my child's mattress and that I was back looking for a specific size (30"x80") memory foam topper and HOLY COW, they had one on display and it had a fitted zippered washable cover the exact size! I mentioned to Jason how I would like to purchase one just like that at that size for my sleeping platform and he said he had one in stock normally priced at $149 but he would sell it to me for $84. I was stoked and Jason's ego was inflated, I walked out for the second time with what I thought I wanted and felt like a genius. I went home and opened it up and it wasn't the same size, it was bigger so I called Jason. He told me that he explained to me that I would have to cut it down (BULLS**), so I reminded him of our conversation that happened less than 10 minutes ago and he said, "Let me call you right back, but I think that is just a display, I will find out.". He called me back and said that the size on the floor is what is called a "Split Queen" and it was designed for one person who shares a bed with someone else that doesn't want a memory foam topper on their side. That he could order one for me and it would be the same price, I just needed to bring the Twin back first. A week later when the mattress was supposed to arrive, I got a call from Jason who explained that the mattress I ordered wasn't being made anymore but that I could have the wonderful fresh and like new (nasty funkified and farted on) floor model for the same price or he'd give me a refund. I hopped online and found the EXACT SAME BRAND TOPPER in a Queen size I could cut in half and have two with washable zippered covers for $72 with free shipping on eBay. DOH. Holy crap! Twice the size for less price. DANG. I drove down and John was there with Jason and they helped all the buying customers BEFORE they helped me. I wasn't a sale so I could wait. I watched Jason shmooze the people with the same stories he told me, I looked around at the people and wanted to tell them "NO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!" But I wanted my refund to happen so I kept my mouth shut while some poor sap parted with $1,300 cash. After all of the paying customers left, Jason and John struggled to give me my money back but eventually did. I felt these guys needed an opportunity to make the experience right so I ask them if they would like to work out something for all the hassle, "No, Have a nice day!" with a look of intolerance on their faces essentially saying in nicer words, "Get the F*** out of here!". Whoa. After all that even though I got my money back, I still felt violated. Back home again, I went in at night to read my child a bedtime story. The chair wasn't next to the bed so I sat on the edge of the bed and it almost CRUSHED like a cardboard box, WHOA! "Daddy! You're going to break my mattress!", I got up and thankfully the mattress mostly recovered with a scrunching sound but I decided clearly to never sit on my child's mattress again. I had no idea just how fragile it was. Turned out that you can actually win a better mattress throwing darts at a balloon at a carnival and still feel like your money was better spent then it will be at the Mattress Depot. All in all, I would recommend visiting Mattress Depot, JUST DON'T BUY FROM THEM. Go in to see these characters if for no other reason. Use the opportunity to lay down on the mattresses and hear the stories of Jason's fall from glory. Note the casual shpeal and limited pressure. Find the mattress that you really like and write down the make and model number then go and purchase it online or anywhere else. You will wind up with the mattress that you like that isn't a factory second and wasn't repaired, it will most-likely have a warrantee, and you will almost certainly get it for less. read more

I was so thrilled to be getting a comfortable bed, especially with a new baby coming....Well we went to get one here and the guy was very nice, but he sold us a latex mattress. The matress when set on edge would not let you (you would just slide off) they told me it was not made to sit on.....Everyone sits on the side of the bed for a few minutes (hello) well I almost fell off several times during the night..It was slanted downward on the sides and humped in the middle (they told me to walk down the middle) well finally they came after we sent pictures with measurements of the slant (like they wanted) they said you have 1 time to change in 30 days (so we did) I did not want a latex, but that is what they brought.....It is worde than the first. My lower back is killing me from this bed and yes it is so slanted and humped in the middle..Worse bed I have ever owned, feels like worn down old futon............I hae on had a few brand new beds and loved them all,,if this one was Flat or level I might, but that is not going to happen......just giving my review to help others from the same mistake,,,,they are Not cheap,but what a rip off they are.....Never again dying of back pain and no good sleep looking to purchase new one when I save the money...... read more
